I haven't read all posts so I don't know if this was already said, but wouldn't Mindbreak Trap work on it. It Exiles the spell it doesn't counter the spell.
What about taking out the Boggart Ram-Gang and put in Siege-Gang Commander The Commander would deal 5 with Pandemonium. It would deal 17 with a Primal Forcemage and Pandemonium. Also Commander would help with Conspire if you needed it to.
Thanks for that. The more I think about it though it really isn't all that good of an idea. You would need a way to get Phage's damage through to the player for it to be a good idea.
I can't see it being Dakmor Sorceress unless they drop Nightmare from the set. I doubt they would do that as Nightmare gains flying and variable (ie: mostlikely higher) thoughness for the same cost. I know that Nightmare dies to Bust and the Sorceress doesn't, but Nightmare just strikes me as more iconic. I think that the resemblance to Dakmore Sorceress isn't accidental, though. If Nightmare stays then we won't see the Sorceress so it is safe to make homage art for her. At least that is my guess as to the similar art. We may even see it in an arcana if it is true. With TS and all the homages and nostalgia running around they will be more inclined to do nostalgiac art for core sets and then say, "Look at what we are doing!".
It really looks so similiar to Dakmor Sorceress that I can't see it being Knight of Dusk. When I first saw it I thought "WOW
Dakmor Sorceress". Probably am wrong but it doesn't look like a knight at all to me
6 Mana to bring a creature back from the graveyard isn't outrageous if it is a big creature like Akroma, but 6 mana for a small rebel just doesn't seem worth it.
It is between Rathi Dragon and Two Headed Dragon for me. I think that I am going to vote for Rathi Dragon. Back in the day when I started playing I had a burn deck that had Mog Fanatic, Incinerate and my finisher was Rathi. It hasn't seen much play this time around but with the addition of the above cards I would think that it has the potential to see alot of play.
Having a dragon that potentially can be constructed worthy is always a good thing and Rathi and Two Headed seem to be the only ones that are affordable and would see play IMO.
In the case of the Urza's lands people might want the foiled version. There aren't many foiled Saga lands around since foiled cards didn't start until Legacy. The only Saga lands that are around are some promo versions that they put out around the time of Legacy and the core sets.
I don't think that the Azorius guild will be getting a Wrath effect. It really isn't in its flavor to blow something up. It is all about tapping maybe removing from game and hopefully bounce. Just because it has white in the guild doesn't mean its going to get a wrath. Rosewater was explaining about the B/R guild and how they desided what part of black should go into the B/R guild and how G/B and W/B all have different aspects of black in them the same could be true with white in the Azorius guild.
Rarely has Blackmail been touted as a better card, but it certainly is better than this in 95% of the situation.
There's a haunt-1cc discard spell (which is better than this) .
Castigate is a much better discard spell then both of the above. It lets you see their whole hand, that alone makes it better then the above mentioned. It also lets you take the best card available which the new 1cc spell will not, and Blackmail will only do that if they have 3 or less cards in hand. Castigate removes the card from the game which if you are playing against say a Graveshell Scarab, Firemane Angels or even a Eternal Dragonis a good thing. Which discard spell would you rather have if you where playing standard and you where going against a B/G deck, Blackmail or Castigate? I think the answer is rather easy. It may not be the next coming of Duress, but it is much better discard spell then you would have it. Its colors shouldn't even be a issue in T2 with both the Painlands and Shocklands available to players.
In his stead was some new minor artist...Oh, Whats his name....Pete Venura or something like that.
All I know he hasnt done any intresting cards at all.
Peter Venters has been doing art for magic since Antiguites. That is a long time so I don't think he is what you could say a "new minor artist". He did alot of the back stories during the Tempest block. He used to have a column in the duelist magazine where he would answer story line questions. He has been involved with magic for quite some time.

I could see them dropping Nightmare for Dakmor Sorceress. Nightmare could use a rest IMO. They just printed Korlash, Heir to Blackblade so anything is possible.
On another note they haven't done a vote with any black cards yet, have they?
Mutilate against Haunting Echoes would be very cool IMO. One can only hope.

Some interesting cards that he has done.
