This is what I have changed it to. I think that I am going to keep the 2 Flames of the Blood Hand in the deck. I will be facing alot of decks that will be trying to gain some life either by the Loxodon Hierarch Koksuho, the Evening Star and even opposing Faith's Fetters. Even if I don't see much life gain the Blood Hand is 4 damage for 3 mana which is quite reasonable.
str8@ I'll give it a try and see how it works. At least I probably will have 1 or 2 more Faith's Fetters in my SB. Thanks for the advice.
NeX-Strife@ I don't know what I would take out for the 4th Wrath of God . I might be able to go down to 22 lands, but I really don't know if that would be a good idea.
Lord Dralnu@ Do you mean something like this for my land base?
I'm going to be facing alot of R/W control and Firemane Angel . I think that running 4 Devouring Light would be a better option. The life gain that the Angel can give people can really start to add up over a few turns and make it rather hard to deal the last points of damage.
Could somebody post a updated decklist for this deck? I have been looking back on this thread and have found many different forms of the deck. I am looking to build this deck and would like to have the best list to build from.
Yukora the Prisoner fits a slot in MBC though. He is a 4 drop where as Ink-Eyes Servant of Oni is a 6 drop and you really don't want to have alot of high cc spells/creatures in your deck. MBC runs Kokusho the Evening Star and Kagemaro First to Suffer as your high cc creatures running Ink-Eyes alone with the above mentioned creatures will significantly slow your deck down. So it really shouldn't be Yokura or Ink-Eyes. Yukora is your early creature which Ink-Eyes isn't, and this deck sorely needs an early threat. It needs that Vanilla creature which can block or go on the offensive, that can burn up removal spells that would otherwise be aimed at Kokusho, or Kagemaro.
Necroplasmisn't going to come out until turn 3 even if you use Fellwar Stone or any Signet. The 1st turn it is play its going to kill off and token creatures. Turn 4 it is going to kill 1cc creatures, turn 5 2cc creatures and so on. That just seems to slow and narrow IMO.
Hideous Laughterwith a Fellwar Stone can come out turn 3 possible in response of a Glorious Anthem, clearing the board in most cases.
Night of Soul's Betrayal being an enchantment is more likely to stay on the board keeping all 1/1 creatures like Promise of Bunrei tokens from hitting the board. Also wreaks green bases decks with all the Birds of Paradise , Llanawar Elves , and Sakura Tribe Elders that might see play.
Kagemaro First to Suffer while he costs 5 if you do have any acceleration he can come down turn 4 and possible be able to pop him off the same turn killing all creatures on the board where as the Necroplasm only hits certian cc creatures each turn.
Also your opponent can play around Necroplasm rather easily. They can hold onto their 1cc creatures and possible Promise of Bunrei and play them after the turn that Necroplasm blows up those certian cc creatures. That would make it rather difficult to recover and take control of the board.
How about adding either Blanchwood Armour or the new aura, Moldervine Cloak . They would help pump up your creatures more, especially the Birds of Paradise which really don't do much damage even if you have a Glorious Anthem in play. Moldervine Cloak gives your creatures +3+3 and has dredge so if you needed to get it back you can.
I wouldn't take out the Loxodon Hierarch if I was you. He is a 4/4 for 4 and he gains you 4 like when he comes into play. What is their not to like about him? His ability to regenerate all of your creatures also can be a gamewinner IMO. Pyroclasm , Wildfire and such spells just won't be very affective with the Hierarch in play.
30 creatues seems like alot. What about adding some removal in the deck? Devouring Light might be a good option in this deck. Being able to get rid of a creature so you can get in the last few points of damage is something that should be thought about. Bathe in Light could be a good finisher for this deck. Give all your creatures protection from what ever color that your opponent is playing and swing for the win.
Agreed Hydra0083, after I posted about the Enforcer I started thinking and said to myself. "What are you thinking, the Genju is a much better and versitile option then the Enforcer."
thejackal917 is right about Sickening Shoal . I run 3 Sickening Shoal and I have found them never to be a bad card in my hand. I have never said I wish that I had card X or Y when holding onto a Shoal. I said before that I thought that Shoal is the best removal spell in I still believe it.
If the 2 cards that I had to choose from for removal in MBC were Last Gasp or Sickening Shoal the Shoal would be a no brainer over the Gasp. The Shoal can kill big and small creatures where as the Gasp can really only get small to mid range size creatures. The Shoal can be played for free when you are tapped out which can be a great suprise tactic at times. The versitilty that the Shoal has is unparalled by no other removel in MBC at this time.
With the help of Phyrexian Arena the drawback of pitching a card to the Shoal isn't really a drawback in the long run. Also you will usually have some dead cards like multiple Arena's that are great options to be pitched to the Shoal.
Is Ink- Eyes Servant of Oni better then Yukora the Prisoner ? I run 2 Yukora's for the early game but I have seen alot of decks on this thread running Ink- Eyes in stead.
I have found that Firmane Angel to be a pain to deal with when playing against W/R. Even if she is in the graveyard that 1 life per turn can start to add up. The recuring aspect of Firmane is expensive but if like everybody seems to think that mana isn't a issue then once she can get on line if thier is no way to remove her from the game then she could really be a good finisher. I run MBC and I have been thinking of adding in Shred Memory to my SB to deal with a Firemane.
What is everybodies thoughts on Sunhome Enforcer ? He is a 2/4 for 4 with a pump ability and life gain that seems pretty affordable for 4 mana. My friend has been playing him and he can be a pain at times. The Genju of the Fields seems like a better option but I was just wondering what everybody thought about the Enforcer.
Yodafan@ If you are going to splash forPutrefy then you should be running 4 of Putrefy . Running 4 isn't going to be a waste in the deck.
What is the consensus of everybody about Night of Soul's Betrayal ? Should it be getting a MD spot with all the aggro that is being played? I haven't run it MD for quite some time, but now I am thinking that it might be a good option against aggro. The only downside to the card is that it costs 4 so WW probably will have a Glorious Anthem out already negating the Betrayal. Without accerleration it losses some of its punch. The best you can hope for is a 3rd turn Betrayal with the help of a Golgari Signet and a land drop every turn. IMO I don't think that is going to be a situation that will happen on a consistant basis.
Say I have a Circu, Dimir Lobotomistin play and my opponent plays a spell and I counter it with Hinder . If I was to have the opponent put the Hinder back on top of the Library would I be able to remove that card with the Lobotomists ability?

Hideous Laughter , Night of Soul's Betrayal , and Kagemaro First to Suffer all seem like better options then Necroplasm.
