Double Bonus Part 1: questions 1 and 3 are about longevity-related baseball accomplishments

Thats not quite what I was looking for...the answer lies in one of the questions...*mysterious noises heard in background*

You might want to read Library of Alexandria again. It sorta produces mana.

Anyways, I'm voting Bazaar of Baghdad as well.

    OMG
Well, the thing is...I cant read. :p My mistake, though.

I just typed a lot so I dont feel like typing anything nice here...

I always wanted to start a trivia thread, so I decided to rip off Piano Rock's thread from News.

    Rules
Heres how it goes, I post 4 questions, each worth a different amount of points: 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. There is also a bonus point to anyone who can guess the connection between the three answers. You can only answer 1 question at a time plus the bonus question and you can only make one correct answer per set. If by the time I post a new set the bonus question is still in limbo, it goes away...forever. Now every 10 sets there will be a Super Awesome Funky Random Lightning Round. Its pretty self explainitory, answer question get point, but in the this round, you may answer up to five (5) questions each and thats all. Each question is worth 1 point. And lastly, know that these questions will only stay up for about 24 hours (give or take a 24 hours or two). To add to the randomnimity already eminating from this thread, whenever people post the same answer at the same time, not only does everyone get points, everyone gets points x the number of people. There are now four questions in a set, but the leader in points cannot answer the four point question. There is also a bonus five (5) point question in the Lightning Round and an extra bonus at the end of each set worth two (2) points. To expand on the previously mentioned new bonus, it will go into two catergories: the Bonus Bonus, which is somehow connected to the questions (you cannot answer both the Bonus and Bonus Bonus, only one) and an Ultimate Bonus, which everyone can answer and makes no sense whatsoever.

    Best non-mana producing land
This is any land that cannot produce mana at all. This includes such cards as Bazaar of Baghdad, Maze of Ith, the Onslaught sac lands, and the very powerful Cathedral of Serra.

My vote is for Bazaar of Baghdad. It was close between this and Library of Alexandria, but in the end, the Bazaar's combo potential won me over.

There is no clear cut option here, as there are several cards that deserve it.

Ill vote for Undermine because its one of the best counters ever printed.

    Best Gold Land
I dont know if theres a technical term for City of Brass varients, either way, this category is any land that can tap for any color.

My vote is for Tendo Ice Bridge. It may only tap for any mana once, but Ive always felt that one turn of free mana should be able to keep your colors okay until you draw an appropriate land, then tap for colorless the rest of the game.

There is no doubt about it, Channel. It might as well read, GG: You win this turn.

Living Wish and Regrowth got nothing on all the free mana you want.

Time Spiral wins, and its deserves it I must say (even though I voted for Gush)

    Next up is
    Best Tutor
This category includes traditional tutors, the Wishes, and Rebels and the like, among others. If you want to know whether a card is okay, just type in 'search your' into Gatherer. Fetchlands and land are not allowed though.

My vote goes to none other than Survival of the Fittest. The fact that it can be reused over and over again (especially in combination with Squee) puts it ahead of cards like Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, and Academy Rector.

Wow, this is just as tough as the green creature vote.

Survival of the Fittest gets my vote. Oath is great, but too specific to be called the best. Rancor and Fastbond are also great, but no where near the sheer power of the previously mentioned cards.

Argh, I fell asleep last night during Monty Python and missed the finale (I then woke up again at 3 AM to the sound of British people yelling).

Anywho, right now Im watching Pardon the Interruption.

*shrug* I dont really know why people are voting for the Birds when green hasd the likes of Wild Mongrel, River Boa, Quirion Dryad, Blastoderm, Ravenous Blaloth, Eternal Witness, Wall of Blossoms, and the new Dryad Sophisticate. Plus, Roefellos>BoP.

Eternal Witness gets my vote. Its a 2/1 body attached to arguably the most powerful ability ever.

    Best 'free' spell
This includes alternate casting costs, the Urza block free spells, and the Shoals and anything I may have missed that has an option of being played at no cost. 0 cc spells dont count though.

The options that come to mind are Gush, FoW, Time Spiral, and Frantic Search. My vote goes to Gush. Its free instant card drawing and doesnt force you to discard anything as opposed to Frantic Search. Time Spiral is great, but even with the freeness it still costs six.
