Mirrodin definately. It ruined artifacts, which before that felt cooler due to them being in small quantities (same thing appplies to Kamigawa and legends). The power level gap between artifacts and non-artifact cards was ridiculous. Plus the two decks that it spawned were the most unfun Ive seen since Ive been playing Magic (Note that I have no problem with Affinity in other formats, its just ridiculous in Standard).
And I have to defend Masques. It was awesome. That is all.
Ultra Ball Lightning Question: the Edmonton Oilers (he was also drafted by the Predators in the 1998 espansion draft but re-signed by New York later that off-season)
Youre killing me, Extremeicon. I tried to stump everybody with a tough question, but no, of course Extremicon always knows. How did you know that, I figured only a Rangers or Oilers fan would remember.
I totally had something really good to say but I forgot. Must be all that acid I did back in the 70s coming back to haunt me... Anyway this is now the SAFRLR and if you dont know what that is, it should be in the rules somewhere.
I always wanted to start a trivia thread, so I decided to rip off Piano Rock's thread from News.
Rules Heres how it goes, I post 4 questions, each worth a different amount of points: 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. There is also a bonus point to anyone who can guess the connection between the three answers. You can only answer 1 question at a time plus the bonus question and you can only make one correct answer per set. If by the time I post a new set the bonus question is still in limbo, it goes away...forever. Now every 10 sets there will be a Super Awesome Funky Random Lightning Round. Its pretty self explainitory, answer question get point, but in the this round, you may answer up to five (5) questions each and thats all. Each question is worth 1 point. And lastly, know that these questions will only stay up for about 24 hours (give or take a 24 hours or two). To add to the randomnimity already eminating from this thread, whenever people post the same answer at the same time, not only does everyone get points, everyone gets points x the number of people. There are now four questions in a set, but the leader in points cannot answer the four point question. There is also a bonus five (5) point question in the Lightning Round and an extra bonus at the end of each set worth two (2) points. To expand on the previously mentioned new bonus, it will go into two catergories: the Bonus Bonus, which is somehow connected to the questions (you cannot answer both the Bonus and Bonus Bonus, only one) and an Ultimate Bonus, which everyone can answer and makes no sense whatsoever.

Ultra Ball Lightning Question 5 Points Mike Richter played for one NHL team his entire career [NY Rangers], but was traded to another team that he never actually played for. Name that team.
I encourage everyone to try the bonus in addition to their five alloted questions. Have fun.
I dont think this vote is so much Sneak Attack v. Lightning Rift, as it is a vote against their respective decks, both cards are very limited in where they can be played.
That said, I vote for Blood Moon. You cant play a multicolored deck with all mountains.
Akroma, Angel of Wrath wins best reanimation creature and by that logic, probably best beater as well.
Next up is a more difficult choice Best Discard
I had a hard time picking this one. There are a lot of good options in Duress, Therapy, Hymn, and Mind Twist. In the end, I have to vote Hymn to Tourach, as my choice came down to which is most devastating on turn one, but it could go any way.
Well, I must say, this is probably the most difficult vote out of all. There are so many options to choose from, but to me it all comes down to two: Goblin Welder or Grim Lavamancer.
Being able to bring any artifact back from your graveyard for one mana is powerful, but so is a Shock on a stick. Grim Lavamancer is the better creature, but in terms of all around power and brokeness, Goblin Welder is the better card.
Im not watching anything now, but he Rangers game just ended about a minute ago. 3-1 Rangers!:) Lunqvist gets another win!:) No goals for either Jagr or Prucha though.:(
But Wheel of Fortune is just too good to pass up.
And I have to defend Masques. It was awesome. That is all.

Yep. You can vote for any card that makes an opponent discard a card.
