  • posted a message on are there any GIRLS at Salvation yet?
Hi, the moderator team is wondering if any of the MTGnews girls, or any girls from other sites, or any other females have registered accounts here at MTG Salvation yet. We require you to take care of some things, for which we currently have nobody. As you know, it is very hard to find females at a MTG website. At MTGnews we had girls by the dozen for these things, but so far, none here.

    - a dedicated team of mod groupies
    - a few bikini dancers for the front page live webcams
    - a team of girls whose job it is to go out and find more girls
    - long division

Hours may be long (for example, I work on spoilers in the middle of the night, and require one bikini dancer and at least three mod groupies at all times). Pay will be limited (nothing). All we can offer you are things like Coolthulu , one of these nice big blue things Link , some Shocked , and maybe a Thumbs Up .

Post here to make yourself known, or if you might know someone. If you're a d00d, little sisters will be accepted as long as they're at least 15 years old.

*listens as someone runs up and whispers in his ear, nodding, then turning back to the waiting crowd*

Sorry about that. I meant to say 18.

I haven't heard about this card, and the source seems a little suspicious Wink

Based on power level alone I don't think it could be real. Even without the alternative casting cost, that's a HUGE spell. 5 mana, disenchant three permanents? Noooo.

R_E: Print screen putton works SOOOOO much better than a digital camera. It's on the top right of your keyboard above the delete key, and it puts an image of your screen onto the clipboard so you can paste it into something and then save it.

Boy do I feel dumb. I actually never knew what that key does, and I've been using computers for a looooooooong time.

    Anyway here's the latest.

I got my account back at MTGnews! Cyan PMd me here this morning and told me he'd get it done. When I logged in, I checked my stuff. There was definite evidence that "someone" had been logging in as me (and we know that S_S admitted to the mod team at News that it was him). I can't go into details, but it's clear that he contacted or tried to contact and reply to my sources (even though I deleted all PMs before quitting, in case something like this were to happen). Many of my options had been changed. Of course, no posts had been made.

I probably won't need to post with the account, but at least it's not hijacked anymore and being used to try and get information from my sources, or impersonate me. You have little or no idea what it's like to know that somebody has locked you out of your account and is doing goodness-knows-what in there as if they're you. Very upsetting. Now that I have my account back, you can PM me on News, but I won't check there often, so why bother?

I also got an email from Raa, in which he said he was sorry for what happened and he hopes we can mend fences. I don't know what to think, after all this... but I suppose it's a nice gesture.

    *sigh*

Well, I don't like to think of myself as a leader of any kind of "war". Like Plastik said, I'm a member. MTGnews was there before I became ... whatever I became. And they'll be there after. The real reason people left isn't because Salvation is super-cool-amazing and they just had to be here. It's not because I resigned. It's not because of a "war". It's because the site was bought and run by two people who didn't know how to do so. They ruined it from the top down. It's gone. But this was not a war.

Some of the posts were interesting to read, though. Most I had seen already, but they're cool to see back to back.

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

    I've been hit! OMG :puke:

I'm putting this in my sig for like 8 hours and then taking it back out. That's cheating, I know, but I'm just trying to infect less people with the IT disease. It really infected MTGnews badly and I was hoping it wouldn't follow us here!

Coolthulu NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it's the crazy squid man!

I'm not going back to MTGnews. I'll be here unless the community dissolves, or all decides to move back, or goes somewhere else. As long as this is where the people are, I'll be here too!

Hi RUBRDUX. Here's a critique for you!

Torlyn: The power and toughness is quite good for the cost. 3 flying power is nice for 3 mana. She's a cheap (only 3cc) legend which is also really cool. I feel like the drawback and the ability almost balance each other out. The flavour is quite cool... moonfolk wizard is a sweet creature type, too. Nice card!

Morlyn: I like synergy but I feel that he has just a little too much in common with his sister. The p/t reversal is cute, but maybe a bit predictable. I feel like maybe he should be something other than a wizard, and instead of flying have a different blue ability, if possible. But overall it's quite good and no problems with it really.

Also, I have a present for you:

I think if a compilation like this is posted, it should be complete. This is about 1/6th of the story, and half of what you've written isn't quite right. Frown It would take me several hours to fix all the mistakes and add in what you've missed (which is most of the story) and I don't have that time right now. This should probably be closed until it can be done properly. Frown Thank you for trying, though, plastik.

I found out an interesting tidbid from a reliable source: Only 2,000 members there have over 100 posts. I found that kind of funny, personally, when compared to the number of people "registered" there.

Very true. You've got a reliable source, there! Wink

Of the 20000 MTG News members, about 3-4 thousand of them post one a month or more, which is what I would call "regulars". As for number of active members, I've compared the two sites several times today, and in many cases we're beating them in registered members, but they have more lurkers than we do. Creatures of habit, I suppose. :p

PS: Sorry about the thread title. My 2 1/2 year old was watching "The Wiggles" all day today and I've got that "Fruit Salad" song stuck in my head. Anyone got a rocket launcher?

"Cain Warner" sent me these arts from BOK, and said that I could reveal his name when I posted them, but nothing else. As you can see, some of them are new, some of them have been seen before in some form, and a couple are already known. I wish we had full cards... but arts are nice too.

    Here's the first 5.
