What kills me is the surplus of unusable cards being printed, even in EDH I wouldn't use some of this stuff. Also, coming from an older player I would welcome more reprints. Someone took a crack at Balduvian Horde...but you have to remember he used to be the most cost efficient creature since Juzam Djinn. Not saying that we need the Horde...but not all of the older stuff is bad. Especially when compared to some of the newer stuff!
What's your point? Journey and O-Ring don't target him when their abilities resolve, because by that time they're on the battlefield and are permanents rather than spells.
ajani had an immediate impact on the board...this guy does not. he might be fun or have some cool little tricks, but i don't see him as a big contender in the near future.
Hmm...well Kamigawa came after the original Mirrodin cycle and before Ravnica. The set after this is supposed to be a return to Ravnica. It could all just be a big coincidence, but this might be a return to Kamigawa...one with werewolves, zombies, and vampires...but then again, maybe not.
poison doesn't stand a chance against knights. there is no way they can top the protection AND first strike. the only thing you need to worry about is instant speed removal for the troublesome land.
Uh, no. Merfolk isn't going to cut an actual lord for a dude that sometimes gets to be a lord and sucks the rest of the time. Oh and it gets slapped in the face by removal on whatever you were planning to copy. It's as silly as running Reflecting Pool over a dual. If anything Fish pilots are trying to lower their curve so they're not cutting Cursecatcher or Silvergill either (both of which are way better than this anyway). The 3 drop slot is clogged.
This just strikes me as... completely off the mark.
Um, I play fish and I would play him. I'll copy someones dark confidant, tarmogoyf, knight of the reliquary, lord, etc. and use it against them. I LOVE this guy!
and what the heck happened to the rav duals? holy cow now they are close to being half as much as the cheap real duals
DoJ is a colored spell. It doesn't destroy him. The only ways to get rid of him are with come into play effects or sacrifice.
the thing that irritates me is why we have to have so many planeswalkers

no it won't. once people realize poison sucks unless your playing a whole poison deck, no one will play it.
the lands like this are all very valuable but let's face it...mutavault had WAY more uses than this little dude
