The End of an Era

I would go at least 3 BSA if I had them, but I only got 2. WaterBleu, your deck seems to be like RWb, so you could support that change. However, like I said, I'm not too much of a fan for the Fugue. Perhaps if it were instant speed, it would be much better. Dominance is great though, lock down land on key colors or just keep them a turn down on spells. Of course also great on creatures, no more BSA on BSA stall.

Here are the cards I've been thinking about lately:
    Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs
Anyone tried out this card? I would try a 1-of but I don't have any.

    Rise From the Grave
Also another 1-2-of I've been thinking about. We play a lot of removal, so you could bring back something you've killed or something you've lost in late game. Competes with Grim Discovery. Getting a Thrinax or Sphinx just sounds like fun.

    Tidehollow Sculler
With the addition of the tri-lands, I might be willing to give this guy another shot.

Another thing about the tri-lands, people won't know you're not playing the 3rd color. So could play mind tricks on your opponent. For example, when I added Green/BBE to my deck, in my mirror match my opponent didn't play a 2nd BSA because he thought I might have Pulse.

In all seriousness...you might as well play straight up jund.
    Better that way

two cards I want you guys to look at.
Scepter of Dominance and Scepter of Fugue

Well, it wasn't serious. As I said, I wanted to play BBE and try out the tri-lands. I still like the tri-lands and I'm thinking of upping the count. Definitely cutting the expanses (plus forest obv). I also picked up an Abyssal Persecutor, so that's going in the deck. So with two more spots I can go back to SGC or try something else.

I have played with the Dominance before and liked it, but Fugue not so much.

Corrosive_Fluids - congratz and nice report. I know some people are not liking the Persecutor, but it looks like it works for you. I also noticed you don't play the cascade Bituminous Blast and you have 3 spots open. If you do decide to try it, just remember when boarding in Earthquake, probably best to side out the BitBlast.

I played at FNM as well, with about 20 people and 5 rounds. I went 3-1-1 and lost in top 8 to mirror.
I actually decided to do something crazy...I added Bloodbraid Elf. Here's my list:

I was actually trying to build something else with BBE, but I just ran out of time on Friday. I wanted to test out the tri-lands so I figured I would do the ones with green in them. I also wanted a single Forest but wasn't sure how to search for it, thus the Expanse. Duress was a new addition to my sideboard as I wanted to try it out as well.

My first round I lost 1-2 to G/R elf land destruction with Demolish/Rolling Terrain, some red removal, and mana elves along with Joraga Warcaller. Game 1 I get some Blightnings off and just go to town. Game 2 he gets double Warcaller, kicked once and the other kicked twice. I make the same mistake I did last time not checking board state and shoot Warcaller with Ajani. It doesn't die and I lose to alpha strike and burn. Game 3 I never drew more than 4 land and he kept playing land D spells. It was an interesting deck and I believe this guy made top 8 as well.

My second round I won 2-1 against mono white Allies. Game 1 again I hit him up with Blightnings and do work. Game 2 he lays the early beats and wrecks me. Game 3 I make the comeback after killing every-single-guy-he-plays-ever. Interestingly enough, this guy also squeaks by into top 8 with 9 points.

My third round I won 2-0 against someone, don't remember but it was an easy win. May have been Bloodquake or B/R Vamps.

My fourth round I won 2-1 against a new player with mono-green elves. Never saw a Monument but it had Garruk, Nissa, and Master of the Wildhunt. I got game 1 with a BSA. Game 2 was more difficult as he just swarmed and I died holding my DoJ and one Plains. It was my own fault though, I used my Expanse to get my Forest instead of thinking ahead. Game 3 was so tight. He goes turn 1 Llanowar, turn 2 Archdruid, turn 3 Garruk untap Nissa's Chosen. I have tri-lands, used fetches, and Expanse still setting up my lands. I'm at 18 and I count 16 damage on board with Garruk's Overrun. If he has another Archdruid I'm dead, but I'm holding DoJ and double Nighthawk. His turn 4 we go over the damage to make sure and he Overruns without playing anything else. I go to 2 and on my turn I DoJ. Passing it back he gets stuck on 3 lands with nothing to play I guess while my next turns I play my Nighthawks. Afterwards I get Ajani, then Chandra and just stabilize FTW.

My fifth round I draw to make top 8.

In top 8 I play the mirror, usually little bit different than my build and lost 0-2. Game 1 he gets more Blightnings off than me and eventually gets there with double BSA. Game 2 I board wrong bringing in Duress forgetting about my Ascensions. He first turn Pithing Needles naming Ajani, I have 2 in hand. =/ I later get Blightning'd and pitch my Ajanis. Afterwards, I have something tapped and he plays his Ajani and tries to use it. I remind him it doesn't work and he goes "oh...yeah, oops." He eventually wins via the Ascensions he boarded in. His build also had Persecutors but he says he doesn't like them. He also had a random Dragonmaster Outcast that has won him games.

As for me, I did like the tri-lands but not to sure about the Expanses. BBE was a fine silly addition. Even though I didn't mention BBE much, over half the time I went to BitBlast>BBE>something else. Twice I "lived the dream" with something else being Blightning, lol. Duress I'm not sure about, I believe most of the meta up here is aggro. I might consider Pulse if I try this again next time.

Corrosive_Fluids - I think you should make that change. Chandra's always been good for me. Don't know about the tri-color lands, but let us know how that works out. I also like Thought Hemorrhage in the board, maybe cut DoJ/Ajani?

Majkel - building your mana base will depend on how you built your deck obv. I mean you have to be careful and balance your BB, WW, and RR cards, if any.

Just curious, why no one is running Khalni Heart Expedition? Great with Harrow, fixes mana and ramps, another permanent for Warp World, you can BBE into, etc. Yes, it's bad after a Warp World because enchantments enter last thus no landfall, but it still mana fixes and ramps.

Seems fine, though I might recommend you try out some bounce spells Into the Roil, Æther Tradewinds, etc. These can deal with creatures but also non-creature permanents like planeswalkers, oblivion ring, eldrazi monument, etc. Also, not too sure about sideboard. You already have a lot of creatures MD.

Mind Control can help steal their creatures. I also like Calcite Snapper, shroud, can act as ground wall, can attack for 4 with landfall. Negate is too good to pass up. I know this is aggro but think of it as protection for your creatures. Ice Cage is another card that could help. Last, Relic of Progenitus is graveyard removal and draws a card.

    Hope this helps...

yeah pretty much any landfall creature will work with the combo.

    Landfall creatures
    Hedron Crab
    Grazing Gladehart
    Scrib Nibblers
    Cosi's Ravager

Aside from Ob Nix already mentioned, those can win the game too, except Gladehart which is another way to infinite life.

Why in gods name would you run Wind Zendikon? Is bouncing a land really worth 2 for 1ing yourself?

Not if you're sweeping Pyroclasm, Volcanic Fallout, Day of Judgment, etc. And also if it's on a land that comes into play tapped, that's even better. It would pretty much be for tempo reasons, like don't let them get to BSA, Jwar Sphinx, Cruel mana. But yes the land will return to it's owner's hand, unless you exile it somehow instead. I guess you could try the next cheapest Corrupted Zendikon because that you can Celestial Purge.

Tempest Owl is up to 3, my bad.

I like Clone but can't be used with anything kicked. However, if you need more land you can copy that Wind Zendikon or activated manland and it will become that land.

Yeah, I found that out the hard way with Refraction trap on my opponent's Vampire Nighthawk >_<

Wind Zendikon, put it on their land and kill it, essentially the land goes back to their hand.
Technically any Zendikon will work but that one is the cheapest.
Same thing with Awakener Druid if they have a forest and you have creature removal.

Warpworld can potentially cause disruption as well.

Tempest Owl kicked will tap 3 permanents.

its an SB card. why would you put it against WW or Vamps?

I didn't say that you would, just that they are not so good against mono colored decks. But some WW do run the Emeria, the Sky Ruin.

However, I do disagree that Goblin Ruinblaster is only a SB card. It can be played in goblins and land destruction type decks. I know those aren't tier 1 or even 2 but just saying they can be MD too.

Question: How does a Kitesail carry a Vastwood Gorger?

    A strong Windstorm...

Anyways, nice mix of questions in there. Going have to try that Ricochet a Zendikon, lol.

Well, not so good against mono decks like vamps or WW. I think I'd rather blow up a land instead of making them take damage. This damage reminds me of damage taken from fetch lands during a game. Small amounts that sometimes don't really mean anything.

    Fetch, Crack, Tap(5)

    Nicol Bolas Planeswalker

Possible 2nd Turn on the draw, but less likely than a Royal Flush.

Well, if you're going to do that, you might as well just go all the way and win.

Play Brilliant Ultimatum instead of the planeswalker hitting these 5 cards:
    Magister Sphinx
    Bogardan Hellkite
    Hellkite Overlord
    Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund
    Madrush Cyclops

Any combination of those 3 can deal lethal without any disruption from your opponent.
