@Boomer: actually, it looks pretty good. i'd suggest giving in and taking out the arena, and adding in 2 more night's whisper and a third rend flesh.

i strongly feel that echoing truths are needed in the main. they ARE good against every deck, whether it's bouncing meloku tokens, kokushus, or myr enforcers. Echoing truth has saved my life many times during game one. i'd suggest -1 oxidize, -1 land, +2 echoing truth. I don't know that we need 23 land. it seems too much, from the little testing i've done since you posted your list. Also, 4 art hate is enough, at least in my metagame. Echoing truth really are needed, and SHOULD be included.

the pictures look really good. the upshot to having a Japanese-themed block is that the art is much better than from previous blocks, i guess. i mean, mirrodin was a pretty cool theme, but the art was terrible.

No, pulse would be not useful. I'm not really sure plow under fits into this deck. sure, it's good, but i'd rather have removal, landsearch, or a win condition. I feel rude awakening is MUCH better than molder slug. being able to swing with 10 2/2's is pretty good. the slug doesn't even have trample. sure, it kills artifacts, but you've got plenty of cards for that in the deck already. rude awakening is needed, though not as many as kokushu.

actually, it looks pretty good. just one thing though: is 4 win conditions enough? you might want to add in a Rude Awakening somewhere, but it looks really good

edit: looking through a little more thoroughly, i'm starting to doubt the lack of echoing truths in the main...

this set is making me think more and more about block. i wonder what decks will arise out of this block. perhaps reanimator? maybe even snakes, with this new snake patron. and samurai will get better with the cat thing. BoK is looking to be very interesting...

I'm reserving my judgement. That means not voting yet. i'm gonna see what happens when it all settles down. Basically, i want to be where the community is, and where R_E is. I can't see that being in two seperate places at the same time. but you never know. so, we'll see.
