You....do know that Tooth and Nailing for Myojins doesn't put the counters on them, don't you? I thought we'd been over this. Seems to me Grozoth is best used as a tutor for 9CC critters in a reanimation deck. Or as a bookmark.
Yeah, obviously Swords to Plowshares, which is the best creature removal spell ever printed, but is currently way out of color, should HAVE been printed in 9th Edition. Along with 'gadon', which is also semi-out of color (LD is red). Yeah, and to top it off, Land Tax, the White Tutor, which happens to be way overpowered. I mean, yeah, Wizards has been screwing White, but come on....bringing back the cards you ask for would spell the end of Type 2 as a meaningful format. I'd have been happy with Tithe, (they printed a 'fixed' version) and maybe Reciprocate (a fixed StP) although they don't do Removed-from-Game stuff in the Core Sets. They did bring back trample though.
Oh, and by the way, spelling, capitalization, and grammar are teh tech.
You should definitly run Withered Wretch over Black Knight, and Hyppie just isn't that efficient anymore. I might run 2, but they kinda suck unless you Ritual them out, and even then you either end up grabbing a Joblin Welder-able card, or something meaningless a lot. Wretch is excellent against most decks - it's good against Long (turns off Yawg Win) insane against Welder decks, and beats for 2. You might run Edicts in the side against Oath, and I think you should up the Null Rod count to 3 with an extra in the side as well. 4x Duress is necessary, but you don't have enough creatures to justify Therapy - stick with 3x Unmask and 2x Hymn to Tourach, perhaps. Unmask creates card disadvantage, which you don't like, but it's free, which is awesome in a deck curving out at about 2. Maybe run a toolbox sideboard, with the tutors to fetch them? Rhystic tutor isn't all that bad - it's jank, but except against Slavery and such control it's good. I think the goal of the deck should be to smack down a Wretch, and protect it with discard, while removing key cards from the opponent's graveyard. As another thought - maybe Nezumi Shortfang is good here? It's a beast against any kind of control and flips into a Rack-beater.
I'll play Oath of Lim-Dul and activate it 3 times. I will play Library of Alexandria .I'll use the Oath 5 times during each person's upkeep, and as soon as I have 7 cards in hand will use Library. I will also cycle Disciple of Malice, Gempalm Polluter, Scion of Darkness, and Undead Gladiator.
End of Turn:
In Play: Oath of Lim-Dul
In Hand: 2 Cards
In graveyard: Disciple of Malice, Gempalm Polluter, Scion of Darkness, and Undead Gladiator.
Life Total: 20
1. I'll leap on the Bandwagon and go with the card that will get played in many a sideboard in many a format: Pithing Needle.
2. The card Mono-Red has been looking for: Thoughts of Ruin
3. Ideas Unbound - simply ridiculous in U/G Madness, and it's Arcane. I liked it better when it was an Instant; Solidarity would have loved it.
4. Kaho, Minamo Historian: What's this? A scepter that tutors....I know it only works thrice, but he's still just cool.
5. Celestial/Infernal Kirin: I haven't decided yet which I like better, but both are just awesome, a discard machine and a pinpoint board removal dude.
6. Homura, Human Ascendant: This guy will be the rebirth of Mono-Red Aggro as a clear archetype independant of Ponza. Just awesome.
7. Stampeding Serow: Mono-Green Beats called. It wants this card.
8. Glitterfang: A well-designed card, and one that will be very good in block if G/R Spirits finally takes off.
9. Neverending Torment: I've always loved search your opponents library and remove effects. Has the potential to be completely crippling. This along with the white are my favorite epics.
10. Twincast - Fork reborn. 'Nuff Said.
Honorable Mentions: Hidetsugu's Second Rite; Erayo, Soratami Ascendant; Promise of Bunrei; Hands of Honor/Cruelty; Choice of Damnations; Sekki, Seasons' Guide.
Yes, I'm a Johnny. Combos abound. I think Wizards has finally saved Kamigawa from being a crappy block with this set.
Kaho seems pretty good with Orim's Chant. 'Nuff said. He has Imprint - Search for three instants and imprint them. Get Counterspell, Chant, X. Win sometimes. Force end of playgroup.
Didn't Nantuko Rice win Waterbury last year with FCG? It's competetive since people don't know how to play against it, having the Rogue factor and all. Basically, what GRAH said....move the Mutations to the sideboard.
WU Tang Fish...it's what's for dinner...or just what won Waterbury. Check The Mana Drain for further details. Basically, running Ication Javilineers improves the matchup by killing welders.
From the Ashes is a cool card, well thought and perhaps playable...though I don't know against what, in any format. Holy Day seems like it often does the same thing for 1W less, except it doesn't get around stuff like Tendrils or strange combo wins with Goblin Cannon or whatnot. A good Johnny card to screw over other Johnny decks. The World Enchantments are pretty meh, the black one reminds me of Carnival of Souls, and on the side note all are insane with Aluren and a gating critter.
This is (I think) blisterguy from misetings, and since this post doesn't involve a photoshopped card I'm much inclined to believe him. Woohoo, a complete spoiler!

Just some random musings.

Spread the Pain seems like a strange finisher, but does only 4 life loss tops. What's this? I can deal 8 to myself for just B! Sign me up!
Oboro Defense can cost U, considering Twiddle does the same thing 99% of the time and is more versatile. Make arcane? Underpowered right now.
