It's never a question of how explosive a deck is, but how consistent. Add in resilience to hate and then you can talk about bans (aka what happened to kci). But there is still the fact wizards doesn't want people winning before turn 4. If pre turn 4 wins are happening, ban talk I think is perfectly normal, which is why people immediately started asking about allasaurus combo win rate.

Here I thought there would be discussion of mirrodin besieged as a win-con and artifact producer. Both its modes can be used depending on the board.

I'm expecting a ban to manamorphose in modern eventually. Wotc really doesn't like "free plus" spells.

I have a playset of rptq emrakul, and it does look great. And it's a foil alt art emrakul at maybe 5 bucks more than a normal one.

I think you're right. I guess krasis is good if you're in topdeck mode against an opponent, but you have lots of mana for it to matter? Value cards like SLC or leatherback would impact the board in more match ups a lot faster, and gives more devotion.

Well the deck sucks. And so does the card. So I would sell. Every card that spikes like this eventually comes down. Vengevine is a good example. Keep a playset I guess just incase but liquidate the rest.

I think the most important things about krasis is I can't think of a matchup that you don't want to gain life or draw cards. And it's attatched to the casting of it, not coming into play so it dodges counterspells. And it's tutorable.

I actually have an older list that is U/R and used reweave to turn tokens into emrakul and through the breach if it's in your hand (running multiple emrakuls). Lots of blue counter spells and spawning breath/abstruse interference to make tokens. Indomitable creativity is just an upgreade to reweave. There's a couple ways you can go with the deck.

    edit: dumb idea.

Evolutionary leap was always terrible, especially main deck. Throne of geth is great, being a sac out let and an almost steel overseer that doesn't die to creature removal.
I'm running a couple gemstone caverns for those games on the play and your tempo can't just keep up. 4 and 3 are way too many, 2 or 1 is good. Also lanowar reborn is terrible, you run at least 12 1 drops, and around 20 2 drops. You can't afford to take any of your first turns off for 1 counter on a creature. And if you can you were winning already.
I like metallic mimics, and if another x/x construct is printed expect that stock to go up, but it can be super clunky with multiples and no payoff with free ballistas or walkers. Welding jar activates opal, which this deck can have problems doing on turn 1 or 2, and protects creatures which you need to keep on the board if you want shenanigans. It's significantly better here than in standard affinity.

It's nice to see lists that aren't "copy whatever matt nass is playing".

Think artificer's assistant might help? I spent $400 on mox opals, I'm damn well going to play every deck possible that has them in it.

Wow yasova is pretty sweet tech, I was looking for things that can be played in blue

I'm waiting for hydroid krasis to go down in price, which it will. I always hate it when I have a bunch of mana and the best I can do is get a primetime that eats a pte. A reprint of wild growth would be very reasonable and hype. Unfortunately there isn't much else good in UG from what I can tell.

I made an extended legal no land belcher deck back in.... 2009? That was with rite of flame and seething song legal along with chrome mox. Played it at a seattle ptq with some 120 people. I went off once, right around turn 1. And I lost every round. It's really hard to get to 7 mana. So in summary belcher isn't something to worry about. It had an extra plan of skirk prospector and empty the warrens as a win con with also making mana possibly too.

It had to be no land belcher because it sucks to go off and hit your 1 land in 4 cards. You can now return to 2019 modern discussions.

I've been trying out ethersworn canonist, along with tempered steel with a land base similar to what you see in the hardened scales version. Canonist is a md hoser against a lot of decks right now and tempered steel makes your creatures good against stony.

If you can get 20 +1/+1 counters on the board you're probably winning anyways.
