Lots of collateral damage just like with the faithless looting ban. Cheerios and affinity both taking a gutshot. I've already moved over to infect. Titan, u/w control, tron, burn, infect look like good picks right now.

I'm expecting a ban to manamorphose in modern eventually. Wotc really doesn't like "free plus" spells.

I made an extended legal no land belcher deck back in.... 2009? That was with rite of flame and seething song legal along with chrome mox. Played it at a seattle ptq with some 120 people. I went off once, right around turn 1. And I lost every round. It's really hard to get to 7 mana. So in summary belcher isn't something to worry about. It had an extra plan of skirk prospector and empty the warrens as a win con with also making mana possibly too.

It had to be no land belcher because it sucks to go off and hit your 1 land in 4 cards. You can now return to 2019 modern discussions.

If you can get 20 +1/+1 counters on the board you're probably winning anyways.

The level of confidence that a matchup is insanely bad without any real numbers to back that up is baffling to me.

Because people like me have played the matchup, a lot, and very often get completely blown out. If they have a remotely competent opening hand the game is basically over. The only wins come from drawing exactly perfect hands AND them bricking consistently for several turns and/or they mulligan into oblivion and don't just happen to draw natural Tron anyway. The matchup is awful. I play it out because my Jeskai builds had Geists and Quellers to beat in and my UR versions run main deck Blood Moon, but if I was on Azcanta/Teferi Jeskai, I would sign the slip and walk away if they keep an opening 7.

Have you considered you're bad at the game and that's why you lose? Because if you're losing way more than the numbers suggest that seems like a likely reason.

That dwarf is looking for some action if you ask me. Reprint him and keep the art.
