Meh, you can put me up too.
Seattle Washinton. I might be there Saturday, later in the day, in a Rochester draft or something. I'll be there Sunday (unless my parents are like, OMG HOMEWORK, crazy).
I'll be wearing an Aussie hat (if you say, "What's with the Cowboy hat, I will remove your testicles), and probably a black sweatshirt that says "EMTRX" on the back and shorts. I might need a shave too. Oh, I'll probably have a "Marines" backpack with some trade and random junk in it.

Which "idea" is more viable? Jitte or aggro?

Jitte requires you have efficient beaters that can get counters on the jitte and have them either left over or have others you can play, while having the mana to stick jitte on something else. Vial made this possible, kataki took away your jitte mana. Jitte can't be run with thopter. You have a great equipment in plating (though you lose the instant speed of it), I don't think jitte is needed or necessary. WW is not aggro affinity.

Affinity now needs moxen. The reduced tempo advantage with vial being banned hurts alot. You can swap out chromatic spheres for them. You do have a low non-artifact count so 3 should be enough, and then maybe put the last one into another nexus (I found that 17 lands was waayyyyyy to inconsistant for playing, finding one land hands too often). Your not going to be looking at a hand that you can just expload off of with a first turn mox land ravager thopter frog, you want consistant speed. Pyrite spellbomb or electrostatic bolt is usually the choices you make, and running some md is, in my opinion, a waste of space. Kataki doesn't come in until after sbing, where the hate is, and you shouldn't need to remove blockers because your running evasion.

You don't need e plauge in your board if your only way of playing them would be getting two with a mox or a void. Some other sb choices (though not all of them are in your color) are Ragged Veins (block, take pain, as long as they don't have a sac outlet), Flaring Pain (this one I thought as a good idea from gobos, T&N and tings try and buy time with moments peace with flashback), Storage Matrix/Static Orb (I prefer static orb, helps against control and rock, gobos, decks that need lots of things to do their stuff, and now you don't have to worry about if you should untap that vial or a creature), Scrabbling Claws (cheap, free to use, cantrip with pointed removal, helps against tings, tog, slide, anything using recursion from witness). I think that is all of it.

It's unfortunate that people are overlooking black, first turn double therapy hurts alot. I've found myself thinking "Damnit, he might not be topping furiously because he already got his T&N." Therapy isn't the only thing brought to the table, terminate is a good kill card (most cost, less pointed, not so much for killing kataki), and is great on a mox.

You should also consider running Grim Lavamancer, somber hoverguard (which I think sucks hard, I hate seeing it in decklists).

Well the idea with the sideboard is:

0 SC Stifle (kills pernicious deed - One of the two remaining hosers for affinity, the other being Kataki)
0 DS Echoing Truth (Used for the new reanimator deck or solitary confinement - mainly rogue targets)
0 SOK Pithing Needle (has a plethora of targets - Jitte, SoFI, shackles and most things in mirror match)
0 7E Engineered Plague (Simply... Goblins)
0 MR Electrostatic Bolt (Mirror match or a more direct target against Kataki)
0 IN Overload (Mirror Match or any annoying artifacts from last game... jitte, SoFI, Shackles.

I do tend to agree with Jitte being a bit weak. It can be quite slow (perhaps put in Atog).
Not sure why i should only go 2 colours. If i HAVE to, maybe i could drop therapy and relace it with... Welding Jar?

Other than that, I dont know.

Your running 20 lands, that's alot. If you remove the black, that takes out the TWO therapys (who runs two therapys?), and the vaults, you can put back in another ds citadel and another nexus, leaving open 4 slots (taking out jitte would be 6) allowing you to run alot more things, moxes, another plating and blast, more thopters, etc. 18 land means your aggro, 20 is more fit to the jitte idea. If you don't like either 19 should be a nice medium.

After bannings, you either try and run a suboptimal three color build, or you go to two colors. Two color is now the best type of affinity now. Loss of vial means you can't vial out creatures and save your lands for tricks (this means jitte is the weak). Going two colors means either adding mantles (which is for poor stupid people) or moxes. You can go either U/R or R/B. Both include blast. No questions, the loss of speed means you need to be able to make up ground, that 5 damage can do it, blast is a 4 of. With the bannings of DotV, people don't much care about going to 5 or less. Thopter is good, because it has evasion, perfect target to pick up counters (or nexus). How many decks run evasion? Rock in BoP, nice.

What the hell is with the disruption sb? That is ****ed up to the extreme.

The problem with erayo is that it dies to an ebolt, which is being considered for sb in affinity. Ebolt means erayo will never flip if it's in hand.

Instead of disciple you could go with therapy. First turn double therapy hurts.

yeah thats pretty much exactly what everyone had said, after the suggestion was made. it isnt astrophysics to realize that two different 1/1 guys sharing the same creature type would be vulnerable to e. Plague...

    They both aren't 1/1's.

First of all, meddling mage is still a very good choice vs. the meta game even vs. non combo decks. If you vial out meddling mage before psychatog / troll ascetic are cast, that means each of the aforementioned archetypes are stalled for at least turn or two. For affinity, this is usually enough.

You can also vial into name artifact hate card, late win conditions, etc. etc. The point of meddling mage was never to shut down the other deck completely, but buy enough time to smash in the other person's face.

As for Kataki, you must be freaking kidding, right? Who in their right mind would run WW in the upcoming meta? Are you even serious about posting on this thread? You're not qualified to talk about the meta game if you mention kataki / ww as contenders post rotation.

Ravager has game against everything for the pure power level / speed of it even vs. the hate driven field. WW folds to burning rock / scepter atog / scepter chant, ESPECIALLY with crusade rotating out.

And as for cabal therapy vs. goblin king, you have to read my previous posts before deciding FOR me what my position on therapy is. I've been advertising the usage of therapy with bidding builds since I started posting here couple of days ago. There's nothing quite as foolish as trying to convert the believers. I also advocated that running 1 ~ 2 of goblin kind which is SEARCHABLE AND MAKES THE DECK RESISTANT TO PLAGUE is a GOOD IDEA.

I never advocated the mutual exclusiveness of the king and the therapy.

More over, your argument about mutilate / deed / clasm are moot. Firstly because goblin king makes your side of the board more resistant against the two of the aforementioned spells and if deed resolved, and secondly, the situation would've looked just as grim when the goblin king was or wasn't on the board.

The point is, when you expect to see lots of mountains on the otherside, and the card can be searched out even if it's run in 1 or 2 copies and there's no drawback in the king hitting the field, then there's absolutely no reason to question its presence in the main deck.

And what the hell are you talking about when you say chump blocking kokusho / shade? If goblin is in position to keep chump blocking with out bidding coming up - not that you can chump block kokusho with flying anyways - it's DEAD anyways.

And where'd you come up with crackhead figure of the next meta going 70% aggro? Right now, the playing field is pretty even between The Rock, Scepter Atog, Goblins and Affinity. The second rate contenders include scepter chant, possible return of gro-(insert something here), and slide.

What kind of miracle can you expect pyrite or ebolt to accomplish vs. psychatog / troll ascetic / goblins that come back from the dead for more or receive +1/+1 bonus from the king / exalted angel / quirion dryad / slide? Unless you were expecting heavy amount of mirror matchups in the meta - which you shouldn't if you can read the meta correctly, e-bolt is a piss poor choice.

Finally, if you expect to MBC to be a top contender next season, there's one more thing about the next meta you're mistaken about.

And you don't know what your talking about. Kataki costs 1W. Why do you think that only WW would be running this? Cause you don't know what your talking about? yeah, that's right. Every deck that runs white should be expected to be running sb kataki. Slide, Wake, Tings, Rock (yes, there are stupids who are going B/G/w for rock). Theres even some R/W gobo decks.

It is expected that the new post-rot extended field will be mostly aggro. 60-40 is not mostly. 70% is a proper figure, not being conservative or overexagerating.

Meddling mage is not a good choice. It was only good because it happened to waste the meta. All of his matches he had cards to name (though lots of the time the opponent sided out the cards). White also gave him kami of ancient law, which is again no longer needed.

Also, Canali made A LOT more than just 3 mistakes in the finals alone. Each time he mentioned a card sided out for mage (blistering firecat), was a mistake, just like him playing the first DotV then later going with the double. Didn't they say he was 15 in that????

Oh, and how does king save you from pyroclasm? It doesn't, lets say everything of yours is a x/3 because of king. Pyroclasm kills king, then the others die also. Same goes for mutilate.

Clickslither is like atog in affinity, if that gives you any perspective (I don't like atog, he take chump blocks like no other).

Clickslither, like patron of the akki, is generally just a bigger, worse piledriver.

So I guess then people shouldn't run goblin goon Rolleyes

Well, the problem is this: Which card would you rather sideboard in against goblins: Naturalize or Engineered Plague? I'd go with the plague... and if you play against goblin decks that you KNOW will stick in bridges/blood moons, then you can SB appropriately... but remember, the more colored spells you sideboard in, the less affinity-like the deck becomes... and sometimes the lost speed just isn't worth being able to blow up bridges - remember, we still have disciples for the win...

I don't like green in affinity, nor do I like the pyrite spellbomb. Green doesn't do enough for affinity for it to take up ~7 slots in your sb. I know gobos who would rather run damping matrix over other choices.

...Either way, I think goblins will just stick to the "wait with an ensnaring bridge until i get my 3rd sharpshooter/matron" game, in order to beat us affinity players... and remember, Piledriver gets under the bridge... argh!

Most affinity builds run artifact hate for the mirror (contrary to the seething song/furnace dragon combo) so they can do the same to get rid of bridges.

I personally liked the article. The things at the end are good for people if they don't understand why they keep losing/their opponenet topdecks their answer constantly (which I hope will never have to happen to an experienced player). Hell, fetches are used in vintage!
