She is VERY good in my opinion. A 4/4 haste first strike for 4 is a deal without the added effect. The fact that it gives haste to Rakdos Cacklers (among others) is cake, but a delicious cake to be sure. IMO it will go up to 10 dollars.

Why are people comparing the real Melek to the fake Melek? Who cares? It was fake. What do you expect will happen? That you can contact Wizards and go: "Hey guys, we like this one better. Can you reprint the card?"

Fake card was fake. Real card is real.

Personally, I think the real one is a much more interesting design and feels much more Izzet than the beater that was the fake card. I'm glad the fake card is fake. The only reason people are complaining is because the vast majority of people posting here are Spikes and if Spikes don't win by turn 0, the card is obviously terrible.

For people who actually like playing Magic, it's a great card.

I like how you harp on people making the comparison and then make it yourself. What is hypocrisy? For 200 jim.

6 mana is steep, but it seems necessary for the crazy effects on it. Casting Time Warp with this seems like one of the better plays.

Most of the swords are trouble, but I think Sword of Feast of Famine scares me the most and I will usually try to kill it ASAP.

Jin is 10 mana in blue, sylvan is 7 mana in green. Games end before you can hard cast jin. A well timed vorinclex is definitely broken, but on the other hand he sometimes just eats a StP and you find yourself wishing you'd played sylvan instead.

The last time I tried to make an informative post about why red sucks it got locked and I got accused of trolling. Try to make any point and the contrarians come out in droves, but ultimately it's obvious to anyone who has played the format a good amount that red and white are the weakest colors while green and blue are the strongest. There are few great red cards, and those cards are not as accessible price-wise because of how high-demand they are, although KJ is also a modern deck. Hopefully a positive side effect of WotC fully embracing commander will be the eventual balancing of the colors in the format.

    C) Sylvan Primordial is awesome.

You know what's really awesome? Having your lands incidentally blown up by someone who just netted a 7 for 1 board advantage without even trying.

I run Dragonstorm in my Intet, the Dreamer deck. Between ramp, low-cost cantrips, and Intet's ability it's usually not an issue to cast it with at least 1 spell on the storm count. I will usually dragonstorm into Bogardan Hellkite and either Knollspine Dragon or Furyborn Hellkite. That said, if you're playing partial mulligans it's usually good to put it away because it's not something you want in your opening hand.

Wordly Tutor -> Time of Need
City of Solitude -> Dosan the Falling Leaf
Crushing Vines -> Arashi, Sky Asunder
    Infiltration Lens -> Skullclamp

Just my suggestions, I like Time of Need a lot in Mono G.

Also feel like Vorinclex and Dryad Arbor are worth trying to find space for.

  • posted a message on Mana Ramp vs. Card Draw?
In general, "search your library for a basic land and put it into play" is more powerful than "draw a card" for a one-time ability. Wood Elves is better than Elvish Visionary. However, for Vig I'd say having U/G creatures is arguably more important than anything else since they read "search your library for a creature card, reveal it, and put it into your hand." So, in that regard, Wistful Selkie is more powerful in Momir Vig than it is in say Experiment Kraj. Furthermore, since any mono green creatures you cast will only put a card onto the top of your library, if you cast something like Wood Elves, what will happen is you will tutor for a creature to put on the top of your deck, then Wood Elves will resolve, you'll find a forest from your deck and then shuffle away the card you tutored. So, if you have Vig out, Elvish Visionary is more powerful than Wood Elves since it's a creature tutor for 1G, while Wood Elves is still just a ramp spell.

Just throwing an idea out there, is it possible DGM will see 2 legends per guild? Maybe 1 loyalist and 1 who joins the guildless? Are there enough rare slots?

If the OP is still being updated, I think the Butcher Clowns as referenced in Rakdos Ragemutt are a possibility for Rakdos champion.

for some reason, i dont see him as helping others. What about something like, "if a spell or ability would target ruric, that spell targets a random target instead. (only viable targets apply)"

This sounds nice on paper but in practice what happens is no one uses targeted removal on him.

The honest answer is combo. Run blue so you can protect your combo with answers. Green so you have the mana to cast it all in the same turn. Black so you can tutor what you really need. The choice to go BUG or 5-color is up to you. If you don't know where to begin, look at 5-color combo decks, Riku and Damia decks to start, as these generally run combo/control strategies that are the most effective when you have to take out 3 players.
