I'm actually kind of surprised that we haven't gotten it yet, considering that it's in an intro pack, and you'd kind of think those cards would be spoiled earlier.
Artifact - Eternity Vessel / Eldrazi Monument
White - Iona, Shield of Emeria / Felidar Sovereign
Blue - Lorthos, the Tidemaker / Mindbreak Trap
Black - Sorin Markov / Kalitas, Bloodchief of Ghet / Ob Nixilis, the Fallen
Red - Chandra Ablaze / Warren Instigator
Green - Nissa Revane / Rampaging Baloths / Lotus Cobra
He kind of gave the impression that his previews would follow the order of his poll and the legendary octopus was only second to the super secret long sought-after fetchlands. Guess not. We get more boring Allies.
I like this card, although I'm not sure if it's what red would really like, competitively. red decks generally want to kill *before* turn 5, and this only helps you after turn 5 (and only if you play a mountain for each of those first 5 turns, valakut has to be your sixth land). a R/X control variant would enjoy this card, though.. turn every mountain into a lightning bolt and thusly end the game quicker/kill stuff? yes please.
Red probably aims to kill before this helps you, but monored burn is also notorious for overextending and running out of gas, and this can help that out a bit.
A monored deck crammed full of Hellsparks, Ball Lightnings, Lightning bolts, and Valakuts could be very strong.
I actually really like The Fourth Sphere. It fits Phyrexia perfectly. Completely inhospitable to living organisms, but also the source of an endless army of the undead.
I already have most of the cards, but you can never have too many Dark Rituals and Cabal Coffers with modern borders. I only hope they use the Alpha/Beta/Unlimited Dark Ritual art. It was always my favorite.
They were probably referring to the fact that MaRo said Bolas had a different Ultimate in development, but it seemed to easy to recover from, so they saved for a Zendikar 'walker.
They NEED to print a functional reprint of Dark Ritual with an additional life payment cost. Black needs fast mana bad, since it currently can't race with efficient burn and weenies.
The closest thing we will ever see to YawgWin is Sins of the Past, which has the same CMC as Sorin, so I could see it as his - ability, but I very much doubt it.
So, the current tally is 14

I guess loving his flavor makes me a Vorthos for Lorthos.

Don't forget about Negate, Flashfreeze, Essence Scatter, and Countersquall.

A couple few Bairns and Sorin could potentially lock an opponent out of a game, especially with Sen Triplets.
Assume you have Sorin, Sen Triplets, and three Gilder Bairns in play and you just Mindslavered a turn and Sorin has 1 loyalty
Attack with three bairns, activate all three abilities, 1 doubles to 2, 2 doubles to 4, 4 doubles to 8, bam, -7 for another Slavered turn.
Unlikely to ever be done, but it is hilarious.

Standard is set to slow down considerably with the total loss of Faeries, Elves, and 5cc.
