As for me, I applaud every one of these rules changes.
Whenever I'd explain the game to a new player, I'd talk about combat damage on the stack, then sacrificing the creature before the damage resolved to gain some effect or other. Almost universally, they'd look at me as though I was cheating.
So, I agree that the combat damage on the stack concept is counter-intuitive. In a real fight, how do you put damage on "the stack" anyway?
So we'll have to pull all of our tricks in the declare blockers phase instead of the combat phase. Doesn't sound like that big of a deal to me. I think people should be grateful for a chance to "shake things up" and learn/develop new strategies.
It's a card game not real life. Not all rules should have to have a basis in reality.
The positive side is that paper players don't have to follow the new rules. The negative modo players like me will be forced to beta test the new rules. Ugh. Just the other day in edh I was using lyzolda and skeletal vampire to stack and sac. So much for those combos.
I wonder how thoroughly they tested these new rules. The whole deathtouch and deathtouch + trample makes me wonder. Seems like they are a version of stacking damage.
And why can't we have an option to spread damage evenly among all blockers. After blockers are chosen you call out this option. Seems to be a reasonable solution.
Are you sure Predatory Advantage makes green creatures and not green and red ones? Seems like it would make multicolored tokens since this is the multicolor set.
We've seen the tokens and they are monogreen. Not only that we have monoblack zombies and monowhite bird soldiers.
As has been mentionned already the best elements of combo with it are blue which is not one of its color: so no abuse right-away in EDH. You may just play it in a Scion build (to keep the theme) but you'll have to tutor for it first before trying to steal your opponent(s) teams. Pretty hard to setup.
Yeah I wouldn't play it in my edh scion deck. No time to waste stealing your opponents dragons when you're killing their controllers.

lame.
Pitchfork at the ready.
Really does it matter if they are fake or real. We'll have the full set in under three days.
Not in the late game. It could go all the way as well, and plays good with that 1ub remove soul/gravedigger spell.

Pics please. I need my daily new card scans.
