I had a hell of a time getting the curve down to something I could live with. I even decided to cut Undead Warchief for that purpose (let me tell you I had a hell of a time picking between Warchief and Muse, but draw wins out in the end).
Basically you have the choice depending on matchup on running straight up beatdown aggro or creature control and lay down a fat Korlash or Hammer'd Abomination ftw, using other creatures as blockers/removal/whatever. Deck has plenty of life gain to offset muse and a dash of hand disruption.
Standard Toolbox sideboard, Sudden Death hits Teferi, Extirpate is good 8 times outta 10, Pithing Needle for whatever, Cloister for Rack, and Jailer for dredge or Firemane or whatever in case Wretch isn't covering it.
One thing I prefer: don't just say "add card X," as that's not too helpful. Suggest what should be removed to add card X
Razormane Masticore likes eating squee and can be fun in aggro match. And put a couple copies of Pithing Needle in the board for whatever you may need it for
Here's an idea that's been used with the Rats before. Use extirpate to your advantage. Extirpate your own deck down from a 60 card deck to a much more sleek (sp?) 30-40 card deck. That way the rats are just an alternate win condition.
or something like that. That way post extirpate you're left with damn good draws. I dunno, you could try it some other way. That was literally top of my head creation in about 2 minutes
So I've been thoroughly unimpressed with Kraken leading me to look for more choices.
Possible replacements are Blizzard Specter (discard makes Nihilith happy) Mortivore (milling puts creatures in grave, making him large), Circu (meh, why not), and Avatar of Woe.
Also, rune snag in for delay. I really want to work in bitter ordeal, but i dont know what to remove for it.
basically i saw Nihilith and wanted to screw around with him. I built a deck where pretty much everything has synergy with some other piece of the deck. And yes, I know its jank, but keep in mind, I built it in about the span of 20 minutes (searching through the filter in mws for pieces).
The Soul Spike's used to be Epochrasites which had synergy with smallpox, but I wanted some form of removal/ life gain/ direct damage.
I've been trying out different counters at Delay's spot. Basically rotating between mana leak, rune snag, remand and delay. I haven't decided which is best, although I'm leaning towards mana leak or rune snag since they put the card in the grave which nihilith enjoys.
He attacks with the nimbus, I block with akroma, he activates Sunhome to give it double strike. Now obviously Akroma is gonna die, she's been reduced to 5/5 and is going up against a 5/2 and both are dealing damage in the first combat step created by the first/double strike ability. My opponent (endlessly) claims that the knight will still deal 5 more trample damage. I know that this is false since it will receive lethal damage in the first assign combat damage step, will regen and be removed from combat before the second assign combat damage step, when the second strike would be taking place.
Can someone confirm this to be correct? I just want to make sure I still know what's going on some of the time.
anyway, as long as you're running chord and have a swarm of creatures, Verdant Force seems to be a good choice...

undead warchief is an obvious choice in the deck as its pump and cost reduction.
EDIT: hehe i used ftw in a thread started by ForTheWin... im such a doofus
20x Swamp
4x Korlash
20x Rats
4x Cruel Edict
4x Damnation
4x Extirpate
4x Dark Confidant
or something like that. That way post extirpate you're left with damn good draws. I dunno, you could try it some other way. That was literally top of my head creation in about 2 minutes

2 Island
14 Swamp
4 Watery Grave
Creatures:
4 Nihilith
2 Deep-Sea Kraken
Spells:
3 Soul Spike
3 Stupor
3 Wistful Thinking
4 Damnation
3 Curse of the Cabal
4 Smallpox
3 Mindstab
4 Glimpse the Unthinkable
3 Delay
4 Phyrexian Arena
3 Necroplasm
4 Yixlid Jailer
4 Sudden Death
4 Extirpate
Now as for those synergies
Nihilith+:
Stupor = 2 Counters off
Smallpox = 2-3 Counters off
Glimpse the Unthinkable = all counters off (and nihilith swinging turn 3)
Wistful Thinking at opponent = 4 Counters off
Curse of the Cabal = sac a permanent to it counter off, otherwise permanents sacked
Damnation = X Counters off where X is number of opposing creatures
The Soul Spike's used to be Epochrasites which had synergy with smallpox, but I wanted some form of removal/ life gain/ direct damage.

comments/suggestions/flames always welcome
I actually wanted to make a B/W Descent deck with magus of the abyss and magus of the tabernacle to attempt to abuse the lack of an upkeep.

Also Akroma is generally better than razia, and since it would be a 1-of...
