Wow what a surprise. I thought that sketch B was going to win for sure with (seemingly) 75% population here choosing it. That said, I'm happy that A won. Not because it's particularly better, but because it looks more like a demon to me, nor did it look like it actually wanted to attack - it just looked like it wanted to sit there and eat. Also, I do believe A will look better once it's colored, and it may be altered slightly (hopefully they'll at least change the 'running leg').
This week... man tough choice here for card versus card. I do enjoy Kird Ape quite immensely (probably because RG is my favorite color combo), however the fanatic is a lot of fun (though definately more annoying)... Glancing through the votes here, it looks like the fanatic will take it, though with the sketch result from last week, it's anything but a given. I'll vote fanatic, cause change is good most of the time. The sketches for this week... 'A' has my vote... I just like it more. The lands, eh I don't particularly care cause I didn't want saga's lands.
I can definately get behind this for now. I agree we need to get some of the players talking a bit more (and yes, I realize this includes me :muh:). I still think that Tregit is probably scum, but this way we may actaully get some input from people other than 'I agree that Tregit has been looking like scum' or 'I don't agree that Tregit has been looking like scum'
Which basic lands are going to go in the precons for those that aren't Snow-Covered? Core-Set, Rav or special ones just for those precons? Maybe some of the decklists are wrong and all basic lands are Snow-covered? No offence intended to any sources, but that might be a problem.
I'd guess that they would be the ice age basics with the new border. Of course, with the lists that we have that would make the ice age rebordered forests the rarest....
Well in one interview someone from WotC (I can't remember who. I'm thinking Buehler?) was asked if the reserve list was considered when deciding on the non-Coldsnap cards that would be in the precons. Whoever it was replied that they couldn't answer that question without revealing stuff they shouldn't. Now let's look at this logically:
-The question is clearly regarding Force of Will. If the revelation was anything else, it would be easy to disguise. So we're definitely talking about whether or not FoW is in a precon.
-The question allows for a yes or no answer. The interviewee wouldn't have to elaborate. Therefore he believes that either "yes" or "no" would convey enough information to reveal something about the precons.
-If he answered "no", what does that tell us? Not much. It could be that FoW was put in with no regard to the reserve list, or it could be that the reserve list was completely irrelevant because no cards on it (ie FoW) appeared in the precons. Although such an answer would send this forum into a frenzy, it gives us very little information.
-If he answered "yes", it tells us a bit more. Either FoW was considered but removed because of it being on the reserve list, or FoW never even had a chance due to it being on the reserve list. Therefore FoW is not in a precon.
-Seeing as only "yes" gives away any real information, and "yes" means FoW is not in a precon, I must logically conclude that FoW is not in a precon.
Two problems here - first, as has been mentioned, FoW is not on the reserve list (I believe the question was about the secondary market value anyway).
Second, the logic is flawed - saying yes tells us absolutely nothing more than saying no. They could have very well considered the secondary market, and concluded it was a good move. So all in all it didn't matter what he said - it still told us nothing in the end.
The black knight plays well with Ninjas. Too bad they won't be together in Standard very long.
Both of the knights play well with Ninjas. True, the black a bit more since they have 4 that they don't need a second color for, but still the white knights are just as valid ninjutsu targets as the black ones.
Atrius is probably correct with the wording, except for one point - the second mention of CARDNAME is "it".
Thus, we can probably assume that the Balduvian Fallen's text is: "Whenever you pay Balduvian Fallen's cumulative upkeep, it gets +1/+1 for each or spent this way."
No, I mean that the only occurance of 'fallen' is in the name of the card itself, thus no self-referencing abilities like that, unless the orb is messed up. Edit: silly me not noticing the 'fallen's'.
I wish people would stop trying to claim that 10th will be unbalanced. There's just no way to know this - we know almost none of the set. Also, as has been said, most of the votes probably carry some other cards as well. Wizards has been at this for a long time, they know what they're doing.

that's the symbol on the spoiler. On the cards, the symbol that is pure white is common, while the one that is silver is uncommon

It can't be, because as TurbulentDirge said, 'Scoundrel' has 1 hit in the orb, so it doesn't reference itself.
With the name 'Bloodpainter' I would guess he's a shaman
I'm still watching cp, just no need to be voting him right now.
I still think our best bet today is Tregit, so with that in mind, I'll
vote Tregit
also, would it be possible to get a vote count? We haven't had one in quite a while.
