Questing Beast is insane and even a card that does some of the same things is worth a look. Trample is nice and I like damaging two things at once potentially with the Walker hit.
Testing this one at 360. Curious how it will play. I really like the beefy stats plus trample plus hitting a Walker too. Not having to choose what target I'm attacking is best in a red deck.
I can see people including it but it doesn't crack my powered 360 list. I'm unsure what the size of Cube I would run it is but green 5-drops are really stacked.
Wanting to Necro this thread because this card has been insane in my Maxpower 360. I'm st the point where I think it is only behind Swords/PtE in white. Yes, I think it is that good.
So many times the person who casts this never gives up the Monarch. And even if the Jailer is dealt with the opponent still needs to do combat damage. The last game I played it turn 3 with a Mox and drew like 8 cards. Just bonkers.
Would love to hear how it has performed for others.
Unsure if my Cube needs this but I'm going to test. Not being an artifact as a Tinker target may make this card untenable but with Sneak and Natural Order I want to see if it gets enough play to be worthy of a spot.
Separately, do I make it a black card or colorless? Feels like it needs to be black but this one is close (not trying to threadjack about this topic but one sentence replies on it would be welcome).
That’s a very on-topic question, and in my own opinion it wouldn’t make 360. I’m having a hard time making cuts for it at 540. As for what section to put it, my thought is that a nonblack deck wouldn’t typically draft this, so it’s going to be a black card for functionality. I look at it as a black card with the fail safe of being able to use colorless for an additional cost, like if you’re B/x and have better use for your black mana in a pinch, but have extra red or whatever. I also am a firm believer in having some amount of test/flex slots (say 10) that you can test/run cards with without cutting from a color to do so.
Slotted it in the black section. We enjoy testing new cards even if they end up a bit shirt. Will post feedback after it hopefully sees some play!
I don't quite know what to think of this card. Seems really interesting but is it good enough for my 360?

Intriguing card. Think I will test it at 360. I have 46 targets (3 per drafter).
My biggest concern is I don't want to see it sit in sideboards of decks that can't activate it only to be brought in against aggro. If that ends up how it is used then it will be cut.

Junji, the Midnight Sky
Shriekmaw
Necron Deathmark
Thanks!

I like the hidden aspect of things but I don't think this card cuts it for me.

Phyrexian Fleshgorger for Murderous Rider
Arcane Proxy for Mulldrifter
Loran of the Third Path for Brimaz
Third Path Iconoclast for Izzet Charm
Steel Seraph for Lion Sash
Feldon, Ronom Excavator for Goblin Cratermaker
My Top 3:
Loran of the Third Path is the white Rec Sage we've been waiting for. Card of the set for me.
Third Path Iconoclast will be awesome in the Izzet spells deck. Love that it's like Monastery Mentor instead of Young P.
Arcane Proxy is a card I can't wait to see in action. I know one player in my playgroup is going to Ancestral Vision off it in many games.
The 3 also gets back fetchlands and other broken cards in power Cube like Recall and Time Walk (admittedly a different color).
The power level is there but do I want to play it? Hmmmmm.
