Assuming this is the look the new planeswalkers will have, it will bug me to no end seeing Sorin and Gideon depicted with drastically different styles in the same core set.
I really love the idea of having early game Bloodghasts. If you drop a turn two Squadron Hawk, you can pull in as many of his buddies as needed to dump them into the graveyard before recurring them the next turn. Their BB casting cost is negligible, as early game they can be recurred after discarded, and late game they'll be a cheap, solid haste creature to equip.
I'd also like to try out Moltensteel Dragon. Being able to drop him turn four if need be, only to follow that up with Sarkhan the Mad, I think he could prove to be pretty versatile.
I think I might roll with something like this for the time being:
Revoke Existence is in a number of archetypes sb's (and if this list has any hopes of being competitive, it has to prepare for such cards anyway). And it's not like there's a whole repertoire of darksteel artifacts to choose from. what about all the other artis...?
I would absolutely love it if we saw some legendary creatures that have cards with the same name, but with their affiliations reversed. If we got a cycle of that, one for each color, it would need an extra five cards, making the cycle ten big.
This idea appeals to me a great deal.
Just the thought of a legendary, artifact-armored knight mirrored in a corrupted knight of the same name is awesome.
I completely agree, but Fling's already in the list, lol.
Bazaar Trader being able to give Persecutor away is just a bonus. Honestly, the goblin's just there to pass Jinxed Idol back, but I have been curious if adding the Cunning Sparkmage package would be more beneficial in the long run. I've looked into swapping the sideboard Combusts for Basilisk Collars, and if I make the change with the Sparkmage, the removal package wouldn't take much of a hit, if any.
Okay well when i have an Admonition Angel on the board and I play Primeval Titan and exile your Grave Titan and one of its zombies so that you payed 4BB for a 2/2 black zombie with no abilities we will see who is worse...
While I agree Primeval Titan is the best of the titans, your example hinges on another six drop. One could use this same method to argue Overwhelming Stampede makes Grave Titan the better card, and that certainly isn't true.
But yeah, as others have mentioned, two Eldrazi Temples is incredibly good for a strategy already in the works.
If they sac a creature to pass Jinxed Idol you can just flip it right back to 'em at EoT with Bazaar Trader, so they're essentially stuck taking 2 damage, while you get to hang onto your creature.
I hadn't even considered Sarkhan the Mad. I'm probably going to swap out both Grave Titans to work him in as a 2-of.
Still toying around with this. I'm still looking into Basalisk Collar. I'd like to get it in to ward off burn decks, but I'm still not sure on how many of those are going to be around, lol. If it replaced anything, it'd take Combust's slot. I'm not sure how capable my build is of being competitive, but I'd like to run something like this at the next Game Day. Suggestions?
Baneslayer won't drop below $20, but I could see it flirting with that price mark for a little while. Especially given the amount of angels I've seen cracked from M11 already.
Damnit.
They definitely printed one. lol

I think I might roll with something like this for the time being:
4 Bloodghast
2 Moltensteel Dragon
4 Squadron Hawk
4 Stoneforge Mystic
2 Gideon Jura
1 Liliana Vess
3 Sarkhan the Mad
Equipment
1 Bonehoard
1 Mortarpod
1 Sword of Feast and Famine
2 Despise
2 Go for the Throat
3 Inquisition of Kozilek
4 Lightning Bolt
Thoughts? I haven't sleeved any standard decks for new Mirrodin yet, but this one looks like too much fun.
Shroud?
Platinum Emperion could save a game or two.
The idea of flooding the board with artifacts that make your artifact creatures better sounds pretty fun, lol.
This idea appeals to me a great deal.

The relationship only gets sweeter when your opponent doesn't know what Tuk-Tuk is all about.

I'll keep messing around with the options.
