Going back to the whole "Destroy, control or ____ anything?" phrase, what about copy?
Having like a Twincast effect, or a Spitting Image effect, or maybe even Mirrorweave.
Put a token into play that is a copy of target permanent...doesn't fit on one line though.
The only other effect I can think of is Discard.
Target player discards his or her hand.
That would be one line, not as mean as Nicol Bolas, but mean enough. It is similar to his new one, but his new one is far more mean, with the destroying permanents and damage dealing. Also, it could be something that would resolve and could be easy to recover from if you have card draw.
Or maybe discarding at random. That would make a bit more sense, and here is why:
3 colors, 3 effects. The first effect is a "Destroy" effect, which is generally associated with black. The second one is a "Control" effect, which is generally associated with blue. The last effect, if it were a discard effect, would make more sense to be random, because as we know from cards like Burning Inquiry and Goblin Lore, red uses random a lot with it's discard effects.
Target player discards 7 cards at random
Could fit on one line, and could also be the effect of the new Chandra?

One thing I like about this deck is that it loses very, very litle post-rotation while all other decks will be obsolete.

    Faeries? Dead
    Kithkin? Dead
    5-color anything? Dead
    Reveillark? Dead
Blightning? well, ok they're still around but Hindering Light usually works against them.
Elves? Loses Regal Force, Primal Command, Nettle Sentinel, Heritage Druid, Wren's run Vanquisher, and Gaddock Teeg

Time Sieve? Loses Cryptic, which is admittedly a blow, and loses Elsewhere Flask (which can easily be replaced by any new cantrip in October). It can replace Mystic gate with Glacial Fortress. That's it. The rest of the deck is intact, which is pretty cool.

Well, 5 color loses it's mana base, if they print NO good lands in Zendi, which i doubt will be the case.
It really really depends on what is in Zendi

You use like one shelldock before, then stack your deck with the Mirrors, then use the shelldocks that you have waiting in your hand or that you put on the top of your 7 card library to make sure you get win conditions or time warps.
    Basically heres what happens.
I use a mirror of fate, then another one to stack my deck. Then use all my Shelldocks, and use time sieve. Then Open the Vaults, and you get all of your artifacts back, including the mirrors. When you start running low on your library, just use a mirror again to get 7 more cards from your deck. If someone casts an instant mill card, respond with a mirror to make sure you don't lose that last card.
I try to hit all of my time warps with shelldocks, so i essentially have time walks at that point (1 blue, one shelldock, take an extra turn)

It also lets you get your Borderpost's out cheaper.

That too. I find myself playing borderposts for the normal cost a lot. I have also managed to take enough turns to play a Colossus from my hand for 8 mana (3 sculptors) It makes it much faster, and they only cost 2 mana. You could Tezzeret them out if you needed them.

I am working on a version of this deck that uses Mirror of Fate with Shelldock Isles to pump out the Time warps for free, and also put huge creatures into play for free. I also stack my deck to get the best Shelldocks and cascades with Enigma Sphinx. Here is my current decklist

I could possibly do without the Sculptor, but I lets me play free Relics and near free Mirrors.

I came up with a deck concept. It goes a little something like this:

The idea is similar to a recent deck that uses Open the Vaults and Time Sieve to buy time while playing lots of little artifacts, then using Tezzeret to make them all creatures and attack with a swarm of borderposts, little creatures that become big, and other random artifacts. This version uses Relic of Progenitus to remove some random (or not so random) cards from the game, so you can safely use Mirror of Fate, then use whatever is under your Shelldock Isles, which is hopefully things like Time Warp, Inkwells, Darksteel Colossus, Open the vaults and what not. If you can, you can then use a second Mirror to get any 7 cards in your deck. Then you can use the Relic of Progenitus to remove that Mirror from the game, and get it back with another Mirror, and always have a Mirror to use when your library starts getting low.

The obvious difference from the Tezzeret/Time Sieve deck is the lack of artifact with "When [CARDNAME] comes into play, draw a card." If you Open the Vaults after using a Mirror, then draw a bunch of cards...yeah, bad idea. Couriers Capsule will draw you cards when you need to, and if it's on the field after you Mirror, thats another 5/5 creature for Tezzeret to make. Sieves can be used to take some extra turns if needed, and they can also combo with Relic to start the Mirror process. On your turn, Time Sieve 5 artifacts, then use relic to remove them all from the game, draw a card, then Mirror. Next turn you draw your card, that you put there, and use any Shelldock Isles. This can happen on turn 6.

Turn one, Shelldock Isle (Hopefully getting something good)
    Turn 2, Swamp, Borderpost.
Turn 3, Swamp, Time Sieve, Borderpost
Turn 4, Swamp, Etherium Scupltor, Relic of Progenitus, Borderpost(for normal cost)
Turn 5, Drowned Catacomb, Tezzeret, Untap 2 Borderposts, Play some other artifacts that cost (1) less to play
Turn 6, Mirror, Untap borderposts, Play some more artifacts, Use Time Sieve, Use Relic (2nd ability), Use Mirror, Use Shelldock for a big creature, or next turn for a Time Warp, or next turn use Time Sieve and Shelldock Open the Vaults
Free Turn 7, Play some stuff, Use Tezzeret, Attack with lots of 5/5s, Possibly take another turn, and what not.

That would be the perfect situation.
    Suggestions?

  • posted a message on [Official Thread] Five Color Control
I have been running 5CC for a while now. My deck is still in progress, as I am missing a few key cards. Hopefully I will get them soon. Here is my current decklist:

I am missing some Broken Ambitions, Cruel Ultimatums and Plumeveils.

Note the difference in win condition. I am trying out Lightning Reavers instead of Broodmates, Not because i don't have Broodmates, I just want to see if they work.
Yeah, there is only one of them, so it easier to take care of, but haste means damage on the turn that he is played, and fear means Faeries can only chump block.
Winged Coatls are good responses to large creature decks, like Naya and Jund. I like punish ignorance. Even though it is a 4 mana counter, you are getting life advantage too. I still have the 2 cancels in there for general counter purposes. I plan to replace 2 of my Violent Ultimatums with Cruels when i get them. I want to keep a violent in there. It helps against Jund aggro and 5 Color Jund. Nucklavees get my counters and ultimatums back, while Nature's Spirals get me my planeswalkers, nucklavees and Mulldrifters back. 1 Soul manipulation. This card won me a game once, just one of them. Obelisk of Alaras for the gain life, creature and player killing, and potentially for beefing a freshly played winged coatl, so that he lives as a blocker. Ponders are 1 drop card draw. I have nothing else to do on turn 2 (or 1, if i get lucky and draw an island), so why not. Also good later because you can pay the 1 mana to draw your card and still have counter mana open. The rest is obvious.
As for the sideboard, The extra Pithing Needle, of course. Earthquake for those resilient white weenie decks, i need more than fallouts 2 damage. Eyes of the wisent against faeries. Bant charm is a targetted Hallowed Buriel, Deathmarks and Purges are obvious, Essence scatter for faeries and Jund, and Flashfreeze works wonders against any burn type of deck

    Changes that i will make:
    Plumeveils will replace Winged Coatls
2 Violents will be replaced by Cruels
I will fit a few more broken ambitions in there
    And 2 more Esper Charms

    What do you guys think?
