everyone knows that free counterspells are good, I exspect this to see alot of play in all formats.
Blue has really enjoyed tapping out for its win condition on turn 5 or 6 recently, now no one will doubt that choice.
Tombstalker is Futureshifted. This may be the only Delve card in the set. The flavour isn't the mechanic but the fact the card or its mechanic is from a future set.
true but things like golgari thug just combo so well with this single Delve card that it makes me wonder.
NB: the first post clearly indicates that submissions are being accepted by email. My failure to mention that other entry forms aren't being excepted was implied, sorry for those who didn't realize that.
For some usage yes, but many people find that the features provided by paying for a subscription are worthwhile. That alternative prize wasn't intended to look attractive to Magic players, but it might be seen as nice by people who find out about the comic through DA.
Here’s your chance to win some loot. Up for grabs is a Foil Textless Wrath of God (still in original plastic) or a 3 month subscription to deviantART. All you have to do is come up with a name for a project that Alex and I are undertaking: a web comic based around magic players.
To enter just send a (that is a single) email to gareth@cerberos.id.au with the subject: Name A Comic. In that email you may submit your best 2 title ideas.
Entries will close at midnight Friday the 13th of April (AEST). Then Alex and I will determine the best few entries and put up a poll to let people judge the best entry. The title that wins that poll will receive their choice of the two prizes, with the *** being posted to them at my expense. I won’t guarantee that we will use the winning name, but it will inspire us.
NB: this is not a MTGSalvation thing at all, its just me, if I screw you and don't give you any prize, then you'll only have me to be angry at for wasting a few minutes of your life.
I was one turn away from beating a tooth-and-nail deck when I thought I caught him sneaking his previously-countered tooth back to his hand. I called him on it, and he said "you know what I took." I scooped up my board assuming his admittance meant a forfeit... then re-examined his board to see an Eternal Witness staring back. Whoops.
I had to forfeit that game, and ended up giving the guy a Chrome Mox out of guilt. No one likes to be called a cheater.
You mean your opponent resolved Eternal Witness and the CIPT without you noticing, thats not cool, you might have wanted to counter.
Remember that the "other than Ichorid" clause wouldn't be printed today, it would just be included as reminder text. Or at least it should, theres no need for such a clause.
This could be very nuts in block control decks, you'll keep on activating the guild key word during your upkeep and get a silly huge army, much to large for anyone to deal with.
Also perfect protection for your other perminants.
That sounds like its more of a power card in combo decks, pity it costs 6.
I can't believe that Zvi messed up his article so much though, talking about getting a block and an attack out of the creature is rather on the newb side for a player of his calibre.

Intervention Pact nearly looks playable, amazing.
but yeah the power of delve makes me wonder....

Linkage to my blog where the contest is being run.

Yeah cause a rakdos deck really wants to draw a karoo in the mid game, its so much worse than a basic land for them.
