A lot of your thoughts on par with mine.
Thanks for taking the time and addressing some of my questions.
I definitely encourage trying the Monastery Sieges. Mortapod could definitely be an option for you, I might cut 1 Venser in it's place also.
I personally do not run Venser. I found it too redundant and not impactful enough in a lot of board states. Although, when it was good, it definitely performed very well. Also, I am running 1 Gideon Jura, as I found it useful it most matchups and never really a bad card to draw.
In regards to running the 2 Monastery Sieges: the looting is helpful in hitting lands and it does give you the ability to rebuy discarded cards later on in the game... but I did up your land count to 24 lands, to make up for the two Pilgrim's Eye that I cut. (added another Prarie Stream) Not sure if it's needed, but it seems to run a lot smoother.
Let me know how Monastery Sieges work out. I'm curious to know what you think. (you might find your burn opponents conceding to Dragons mode ;))
I'm playing a very close shell to yours, but instead of the Flickerwisp and Venser, I have a gifts package that I find really helps close games. Along with Monastery Siege, which is over performing in the deck.
Have you tried this in your build, and did you find that you didn't like Elesh Norn, etc in the deck?
Also, how is your mana base, do you find issues with having the swamp or have you tried Marsh Flats at all?
I've been running this deck a lot on magic online in the 8-man queues.
It seems to go make the finals the majority of the time.
I'm back and forth on the gifts/rites package. Having Elesh Norn in the main is amazing against a lot of decks as a soft lock, after you stabilize. Although, I feel it's not needed, as the matchups that it's good in, are already solid (Affinity, Elves, Infect, other creature decks.)
Gifts for Unburial Rites, gives us Iona against red, elves and surprisingly the mirror match (I've faced versions a few times.) It also gives us access to Sphinx of the Steel wind, which against Jund variants is basically game. Liliana can get it, but you have enough little guys to negate that.
Even though the package isn't necessary, it gives us utility.
I've played more counters instead of the gifts package and I've played more of a 'draw go' style, which is also strong.
Cards that I'm tossing back and forth between the main deck.
Monastery Siege doesn't have the recursion of Pilgrim's Eye and doesn't provide the chump block early game. It does allow you to hit your lands drops though, as choosing Khans and looting each turn is very good against most midrange/control decks.
Dragons is also very beneficial against Burn and zoo variants. I feel this provides better utility than Pilgrim's Eye in the majority of the matchups. I was a big advocate of Pilgrim's Eye in the beginning, but Monastery Siege is preforming better.
(also helps discard unneeded cards for later recursion synergies)
And the sideboard is a whole different ball game and get's change quite frequently.
I haven't tested Flickerwisp yet, but with my results so far I'm not sure it's needed.
Any input and questions were be greatly appreciated. I'm bringing some version of this to GP Pittsburgh in a few days and would love some feedback.
I have lots of PT Experience and a GP top8...and usually play the go to "best deck."
Some reason, this deck is intriguing and I seem to be winning quite a bit with it.
Let's try and make it better!
1. Family - Absolutely amazing, can't wait for the new season
2. Numbers - Great show that just started.
3. Tilt - Started out boring, but its finally getting interesting.
Is it just me or does number one look alot like Smeagol/Gollum wanting some precious crack? Just a thought...anyways for the art I would definitely choose Number 5. Following close behind would be Number 4 and Number 8.
Yeah I hope the suffler is better, but speaking of new versions what ever happend to Aprrentice. Weren't they suspose to be releasing a new version also?

I apologize before hand for any grammatical errors, formatting etc. It's hard to type long post on your phone.
The border is white, it has a standard back, and its legal in the format I need it for. So I guess its legal
Are Deckmaster cards legal to play in sanctioned tourneys.
For example: Underground River, Karplosan Forest, Sulfurous Springs from the Finkel vs Garfield Deckmasters Tin.

He's orange and all covered with hair
He ate my cat, while I was in Bel-Air
Smokey and greasy and low on class
That's the place down the road half way your gass
It's dirtly, it's grimey and all-around filth
One day I saw this duck walk by
He had some grey tape on his thigh
His beak was taped shut
He had a sore on his butt
He was a man, no a chicken-man
100 miles, his head did span,
He had a long nose
Miss Piggy was his rose
He was his only fan.
Crazy Cat
There was a cat, who sung the blues.
