Sorry fellas, been away for awhile. will update the list as a bare bones list. I have put the deck down for awhile as my play still has shifted. could I get a consensus of a basic, rough draft, starter version so people can have something to build off?
oh and for the record, I never thought this would get so many pages behind it. it's all a bit overwhelming, but thank you guys for keeping the deck popular.
I'm in the process of building mono blue tron and just need the remands. Until I can get the remands I might try this out and see how it goes. I love playing black. Has anyone tried grave titan yet?
yes, i've been playing it for awhile now. here is my list.
Uh, what R/G Tron lists are you looking at? All of the lists I see run a few basic Forests.
Another issue with the Surgical Extraction plan is that a lot of them run Relic of Progenitus, which can thwart it (just tap or exile it in response to Surgical Extraction). I think Extirpate is a significantly better choice for this reason. Surgical Extraction can really hurt them if things line up right, but I'm not sure how reliable it is.
I was messing around with a RW goblins deck and used him as a 4 of I've one several matches because my opponent forgot you can't block with tokens when legion attacks. Eat that lingering souls.
goblin piledriver
Yes I understand how insane the card is,but geez give me something.i would even be happy if they made a new piledriver that was RRR and a 1/1
one of my favorite cards vs. tron is Hide // Seek. if you search out their emrakul thats 1 creature exiled and a cool 15 life to gain.
um... rain of tears to hit pieces. smallpox to hit pieces as well. blind obedience so their eggs and expedition maps come into play tapped.
also ghost quarter + surgical extraction will hit a piece and exile it from the game along with the other 3 and since r/g tron does not run basics it becomes more valuable.
also if karn is a problem suppression field slows down the eggs/expedition map/karn/eye of ugin
i've been working on it for a couple of weeks now. it test very well. it originated as just red green and I submitted it to Gavin Verheys gruul article (wilber hurley) then decided to add black for more removal.
I think that Dimir Charms are quite great... but in Soul Spikes version.
people who plays fury of the horde should stay on Izzet Charm.
next days I will try this card:
Discussed it with a Lvl 1 Judge and it DOES work like a counter-counter spell.
Image this scenario:
Griselbrand is on the battlefield. Path to exile. Now,with just a blu mana (gemstone or city of brass) we can dig our deck to find a simian and play swerve on one of his creature. EPIC
Pact of negation is much better but, trust me,it's a very very dangerous card.
Plus.... swerve is red works great against infect,gw aura and discard too.
Discussion?
If your worried about removal on Griselbrand, then just run mizzium skin it only cost 1 blue and will protect it well. Also if you swerve, you're gonna have to have a target for it so it seems very situational.
Think it's going to replace my 2x Izzet Charm? Digs 1 card deeper. It's still feels like both charms are just worse faithless looting.
i understand the "worse faithless looting" aspect, but 2 cards that set you up instant speed is nothing to scoff at. and i wouldn't replace izzet charm with it, but i would play it beside it.
It is alright with Hexproof ground guys. But that is a pretty limiting factor. A fun casual card, and probably very solid in limited. But I don't think it does enough to warrant constructed play.
On a sidenote though, that art is fantastic.
I don't know about that since the bant hexproof deck may want it.
