What about hallowed fountain or all the shock lands for that matter? Do u think the reprints will significantly drive down the price? In some ways i dont think so cause standard is the most popular format and all the standard players will be buying any shocks they can find, therfore driving up the prices.
If the art is different (which it probably is), I think the prices will be stable for the old ones.
On another note, where are people flipping their cards for these cash values?
That's really sick. Puresteel Paladin is going to be a beast when the set comes out. I will have to look into my own bulid now. Not sure about Serra Avenger though. I'm sure if I were you, I would add some slightly more powerful cards; to me, Lightning Greaves. Any sword would be good; I think Deathrender would be sweet too, kind of like the Thopter Depths combo that got banned; it has the potential. Fireshrieker and Quietus Spike, potential as well.
Also, I would replace StP with Path to Exile because to me, I don't want them gaining life, I'd rather they get a basic land, if they even have one in their deck.
The problem with Lightning Greaves is that it needs another card in order to be good (creature to equip it to). While one engine in the deck is Puresteel Paladin + equipment based, the deck should primarily be able to play an aggro role with efficient white creatures.
Yeah, I considered port, but because of the double white costs of several of the cards, I figured that ports + wastes couldn't support the color base. Still, port is in contention for waste's spot.
The problem with PtE is that it nets the opponent a land. Our deck tries to win with mana denial as well as card advantage in addition to damage. Damage is easier to make up.
Leonin Shikari might be nice in here too. Equipping Greaves at instant speed is awesome. (let alone any of the other equipment).
I'd suggest -1 Paradise Mantle, +1 StP would be nice, as a 4th Mantle seems... redundant.
Argentum Armor is cute and everything, but is it really necessary? Seems like you're relying an awful lot on having Puresteel Paladin and Metalcraft.
Mox Opal and Ancient Den would be nice in here as well as additional ways to reliably give you Metalcraft. You could also look into some other metalcraft dudes like Ardent Recruit, Auriok Sunchaser or Auriok Edgewright if you really wanted to go heavy metalcraft. If you're looking for artifact beaters, Epochrasite is awesome with Aether Vial.
If you're doing metalcraft, then ardent recruit would go well paired with lodestone golem, court homunculus, and the canonist aforementioned. At least the non golem types are pretty solid early beats in a ww/metalcraft build!
I couldn't find room for Leonin Shikiri, though that was considered. It kind of feels like a win-more as well.
Paradise Mantle is so good post geddon and it provides acceleration + card advantage. I wish I could find room for another stp.
Like Elleran said, we considered a metalcraft focus, but ultimately decided that we would try a more controllish build by winning with card advantage. Kor Duelist + Aether Vial + Equipment provide solid one drops already.
If achieving Metalcraft is a problem, play Ancient Den, Blinkmoth Nexus, Mox Diamond, Mox Opal or something.
Signal Pest also sounds like a decent idea.
But then once you start playing that many artifacts, might as well add Cranial Plating.
lol that sounds too much like Affinity for me.
I fell like the metalcraft ability is more of an extra benefit. The strongest feature of the paladin is its ability to provide pure card advantage, so we decided to focus our deck on that. That being said, acceleration would be nice, but our build is less artifact-centric. If we sounded too much like affinity, we should probably just play affinity
The Light Brigade
Created by BattlefieldMedic and Elleran
My "team" and I have been developing a deck that utilizes Puresteel Paladin in an equipment centered build. We think we're onto something. Here's a rough list of what we have so far:
This deck has many strengths:
It can play a strong aggro game with it's fast, efficient creatures.
It can also play a mana denial strategy with land removal and destruction.
It can generate card advantage by turning all equipment into cantrips.
The light brigade has several paths to victory:
1. Death by a million cuts from raw aggro + equipment
2. Armageddon + Puresteel Paladin to win with card advantage and creature advantage.
3. Mana denial from wastelands + armageddon for more mana denial.
Matchups
Aggro:
We have the ability to make a strong board presence. We can also deny mana.
Control:
Aether vial + mana denial to try to hack to victory.
Combo:
Mana denial and dedicated sideboard slots help overcome quick storm decks.
---
Matchups, analysis, and everything else will be improved. This is just a rough draft of the primer.
My thoughts:
-We could use more mana denial
-I want to fit Basilisk collar in there somewhere.

Sorry Stompy would love to give you a longer reply but I caught your post rather late and just about to head off to bed. One card which I believe people have overlooked its Impulse, now the most important card in the deck is of course stasis, and impulse's purpose is to find it. This card is better than brainstorm in my opinion because if you have crap draws coming up they get put at the bottom of the library and it also digs slightly deeper than brainstorm, yet to fully test but may have potential.
My deck now has propaganda, I'm running three and boy are they a sight for sore eyes when your staring down lethal damage in the coming turns and there is no stasis in sight. As some have mentioned I also believe that Propaganda is almost a must for this deck just because needing a stasis every game turn ~4-5 just doesn't happen. This is where propaganda comes in and allows you those extra turns to get that stasis into play. I will do a longer write up in the morning in regards to your results and also take a look at BattlefieldMedic list.
I feel Ponder is superior to Impulse. Suppose you have 4 awesome cards coming up. You'd have to choose. Ponder is more versatile in that you can choose when to keep and when to shuffle, all at one mana less.
This can even better at casting dudes.

Good point on Argentum Armor.

Yeah, Ethersworn Canonist will definitely go into the board. Thanks!

Just a heads up, my list is a mess.
