But don't worry about the reasons Magic works. Just have fun.

You didn't understand a single damn point that was being made, did you?

WOTC (or Mark Rosewater, rather) has stated before that enemy-colored duals don't fit in the base set since they want to indroduce players to basic concepts of magic and the idea that allied colors work together while enemy colors don't is fairly fundamental. Enemy painlands undermine this because the distinction between allies and enemies gets blurred when it is equally easy to build decks of allied colors as of enemy ones (especially for new players who don't fully grasp the philosophies of each color).

And why should the average customer, care in the least about the philosophies in magic? I mean, the average customer buys magic to have fun, not to deal with philisophical tripe and elitest bullshiest. Most noobs play enemy coloured decks anyway, because they don't really care that green and black don't like each other, but play those colours because they feel they can win with them.

I'm also thinking the Guild symbols will have interactions with cards much the same way as the Arcane cards had with spiritcraft triggers.

I don't think that Kamigawa has been a particularly popular setting (of course, I don't have numbers to back that up) so I think that WotC will be happy to move on to different planes.

People do like the setting and the storyline from the Kamigawa block. People however do not like the underpowered cards WotC is using to represent that block.

    Excuse me?

You've done nothing to earn such excuse.

You're the one that brought up Occam's Razor.

And yet you still don't seem to understand that my point, while simple, is also valid. Not once have you said anything about it's validity, making it look like you're trying to attack me, rather than to state your idea, or to refute my idea or statements. This makes you out to be a troll, and a rather bad one at that.

    Quote from MasterofLOTR »
As for dazzling you, I'm sorry you're too simple (used in a different context, if you didn't understand) to understand my very simple (Can you keep track of this? Or are you too simple?) argument.

You are a pompous ass if you really think this, to say nothing of your trolling behavior. Do you know what baiting is genius, because you've been baited since your initial post. You see, what your statement is really trying to imply is that you don't see my statement as simple, but myopic. And rather than plainly stating this, you've been trying to debase me on SEMANTICS. A simple statement is a statement that's hard to screw up, yet you seem to be doing it just fine, not because you are a moron, but because you are a troll. End of discussion.

You're really not making any sense.

    And you're going off topic.

Of course, if you can't dazzle people with brilliance, baffle them with bullshiest.
Just don't expect that to work with me.

No, it sums up to be "keep it as simple as possible." You made an impossibly simple statement.

Are you trying to be annoying with your semantics? Because, given the context, all you're doing is defending a veiw built upon semantics. Why don't you try arguing on how wet, wetness is, because you'll make as much headway as you're doing right now.

    As a community service

Stop while you're ahead, because without taking past context into account, you're only doing the community a disservice, as well as wasting my time.

    Quote from MasterofLOTR »
The definition "Entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity" is proof, as this situation must be made more complicated than the simple view you expressed.

Which just goes to show you're overcomplicating something which is not complicated to begin with. Now, Ockham's Razor has a few different meanings depending on the context in which it's used, but it always sums up to this, "keep it simple"jackass

I think that's a far too simple point of view.

I think all you people arguing about new players and learning curves are missing two vital points.

#1.Stupid players are generally too stupid to begin with, making discussion about what's too far advanced in terms of learning curves a moot point, becuase you're talking about stupid players to begin with.

#2. You are arguing about where the play level of what generally is conceded as the stupid players is at. What is wrong with you?

I'm not sticking around when a wounded giraffe is out there somewhere. WATCHING, WAITING. LUSTING FOR KILL.

    AAAUUUUUGGGH

Oh yeah, and I'm kind of happy about this semi-confirmation about Hyppie. Is it because I play Hyppie you ask? No. Is it because I like random discard? No. Then why am I happy about this you ask? IT'S BECAUSE I'M NOT A WHINEY BRAT LIKE REST OF YOU SEEM TO BE. Grin

See how happy you can be when you just let things slide.:D

Honestly, the blue Maro is of some worth too. Otherwise, these decks are pretty much "Meh".

Hollow Specter is too complicated for the core set, I doubt that R&D would have it =/

If we were to go with everything R&D said, I think we'd figure that breathing on ones own would be considered too hard for your average player as well. I mean, just because some players are idiots, doesn't mean we all are. (Present company may or may not be excluded from this general statement)

    1. Pithing Needle
Can anyone say Meddling Mage? I know I sure can.

    2. Glitterfang/Promised Kannushi
Another set of one drops that improve spirit decks. I expect too see these guys play a lot.

    3. Hand of Honor/Hand of Cruelty
Two drops with Bushido 1 and protection from a color. Very nice.

    4. Sakashima the Impostor
A reusable clone. Too bad it doesn't take on the copied creatures name as well. This thing would be abusable if it did.

    5. Masumaro, First to Live/Kagemaro, First to Suffer/Soramaro, First to Dream
All three of these are very powerful Maro's for their colors. Not to be underestimated.

    6. Celestial Kirin
White doesn't get destroying effects often, and this ones effect is very decently powered.

    7. Captive Flame
An enchantment that can pump ANY of my creatures. Low costed and very usable.

    8. Ashes of the Fallen
There are combos with this cards. Powerful combos.

    9. Murmurs from Beyond
A very powerful common (at least that's what we assume it is right now).

    10. Gnat Miser
A one drop rat. That alone puts it on this list, but add in it's ability (meh), and it's a pick for most tournament rats decks.

Anyways, was reading THIS when I noticed that each question box had a mana symbol in the right hand corner, but what really struck me is that they were all enemy alligned. Dunno if this means much, but it's something I noticed. Also, the mana symbols weren't there before, so that's why I make light of it.

EDIT: took out the joke, as even so, one word posts are not cool, and anyone else who makes them will be reported for ++ing, spamming, and being really really stupid.
