After hearing arguments and thinking about it counterspell would be completely fine power level wise. They have printed an ungodly amount of hate for permission in the last decade. But it closes too much design space and for that reason DRS and Bolt could certainly be banned. Lightning bolt is particularly egregious and probably the same power level as counterspell.

On another note I want to pimp slap people that think we need more land hate and that hitting colors or land drops is a problem. Wasteland is 100% the reason I don't like legacy. Why don't we just ban lands and all cards that cost more then 2 and just play one spell a turn.

Electrolyze is a better jace, the card is amazing and was the final puzzle piece that made this deck good, end of story.

It is like an instant draw 3 vs some decks, and the key feature is that it clears the board defending your life total dealing with many of the must kill creatures in the format as well.

Beleren is quite fragile and sorcery speed, one smack with basically any creature and a bolt then down he goes and you even gave them a card! He is decent in the mirror and vs combo though, but basically to many bolts flying around...

I have said it a zillion times, control got really shafted with the combo bans. Some cheap filtering like preordain could help a lot with consistency to find the right answers to the myriad of ridiculous threats. I really want Gitaxian probe banned and Preordain unbanned. Maybe some nice two mana brainstorm to set up Miracles so we can have some efficient board wipes. AV is also a fairly safe card to try, though it might find its way into some kind of BUG midrange.

This is a very nice design! Thumbs Up

Is scry 2 really worth one mana over sign though? I guess doing it before you draw makes it like a mini foresee, I will certainly try it. The recursion on burial and harvest are nice but also expensive I think Denied is certainly a strong singleton that could just put the game away right there.

Death denied seems realy powerful to me, does it see any play? In a deck with lots of small value creatures to hold the board it would be like a Sphinx Revelation! Sadly it's a bit conditional and doesn't benitfit much from being and instant! But it might be strong in here, I was trying Death's duet and it was prety nice. The power in pauper seems to be in strong synergies, this deck feels just a touch light on them.

As I said in the initial post I want more draw and sadly 4x sign in blood is more damage than I want to take. I had some ideas to brew Esper as well fusing some ideas from other decks. Three colors seems doable if all your cards have a one color requirement, but pestilence is a bit more demanding, I might just want to cram Probe or something in.. or maybe just try UB splashing for Guardian (who has been awesome)? Try a single Pestilence in my BUG deck because the card is that powerful...? Idk

Cool thanx for your input, hehe my pestilence are Saga ones from draft! I defiantly want more life gain so a couple rift watchers seem nice, I just avoided them because they dont stick around. I like Evincar's Justice, its like a faster pestilence helpful against the decks where it really shines in a more timely manner. I was looking at yoke of the damed but it seemed a bit conditional, still want this kind of effect with the Auramancers so might give it a go.

Tutors are great singletons actually but Teachigs and and Capsize can probably go, I just wanted a way to have something powerful going on if the games go super long. I was also trying to squeeze in one Death Denied as a high power trump. I may just want to go up to 3 Wall and 4 Flicker, you just go off in this deck if you untap with those, but the numbers might be fine as this is like a turn8 + play.

What do people think of Man-O'-War? He has good dual utility in here. Any other ETB card suggestions?? I could see leaning heavier to UB or UG and tightening up the two drop slot, but I enjoy hedging with numbers as a heavy limited and singleton player. I don't think its necessarily correct to get all OCD about 4x everything.

Really loving this deck and it feels like I am doing more powerful things than most people but I can still get overrun on the draw, haven't had many mana issues though.

Well those creatures are just kind of redundant draw, also just testing how much harder visionary is to cast vs oracle. Mulrifter is also much more of a five cost in my mind, the curve is pretty high. Gate creaper lets me play more gates or get untaps to hit four on time, again testing how much fixing I need in full three colors, I love the idea of preordain instead though. Idk I always like threes in controll decks especially if they have a crossover effect with another card.

I don't think any one is looking in the developing area, (or even look at pauper for that mater) so Im posting here...

Ghostly flicker is a heck of a card still, and one way the Post decks stabilized was using this on Glimmer and going infi with Mnemonic Wall. Well we can still get all those effects and more. Seruli Gatekeepers is also a heck of a card to stabilize with, so I wanted to try a deck build around them and others.

Doomblade has shown to be a great removal spell, there arnt acutely any large black creatures and mono black usually throws discard at you to just chuck them any how. Four Ubal Sar is probably to many, but he is great at killing a fair amount of things. This is still quite rough especially the board but there hasn't been a ton I want to change, the deck is VERY fun!

This deck is two slow and not realy powerful. It doesn't do anything meaningful until turn four, there are some good synergies but the deck still needs some help IMO. I completely blanked it with guardians of the guldpack yesterday, hexproof would also be a big problem. I am not realy sure what this beats up on?

I think forcing a Tilling with fengraph isn't really that worth it, maybe try quicksand and desert. You could be playing tribe elder and Viridian Emissary, more things to fuel Gnaw while deflecting attacks. Pestilence seems like a decent fit in here as well. Maybe just add a grim harvest or grim discovery for more recursion?

This looks cool but.. Idk REALY durdly You have like 10 cards that affect the board before 7 mana... Just started playing Pauper but my impression is that it is quite fast. It can also be quite grindy though so there is certainly some potential here, just have to find the balance
