Is cutting Snapcaster Mage a mistake?

Personally, I can see why Steven ran it. It's like running 2 extra copies of every sorcery/instant in your deck.

I tried connecting my PC to my TV. If it matters, it's some off-brand company called Curtis. I plugged the HDMI cable into my video card and the TV, and turned on the computer. It was working for a while, but then randomly turned black. The computer kept running, but the screen got no signal. After turning it off and back on, nothing happened. It just stayed on no signal. I swapped the HDMI cable with a DVI cable in my computer, adapted to fir a VGA cable, which then plugged into the TV. However, although the computer would turn on and the fans start spinning, the TV still got no signal.

The problem goes away randomly, sometimes allowing me to get on and do stuff. It then randomly cuts to black again and doesn't show up on the TV again just like the last time.

    Anyone know the problem?

EDIT: It seems to be the graphics card's problem. I swapped it out with one I borrowed, and the computer has been on for a couple of hours now, with no problems as of yet. I guess I should return the old card to Newegg and order a new one?

Fixed. The HDMI cable is all I needed. However, turns out all I had to do was turn the TV off and then back on. No audio cable needed. Smile

And thanks for the info about the fans. It's a very new video card, and I think I'll buy a few more fans to be on the safe side.

I've apparently got on-board audio. I think it's in my video card. However, I did connect the HD Audio to my motherboard.

Also, the fans seem to be spinning very quickly. Is this normal?

Got it all set-up. In fact, I'm using it to type this right now. One problem, however:
No audio. I've updated the driver completely, unmuted everything, and set my TV(to which the computer is attached via HDMI) as the speakers, but still no sounds are coming out of it. Any possible solutions?

Define punish? If you're referencing Hellfire, that's not even an accurate scriptual teaching.

He created human beings perfect, but he gave them free will. The capacity to do wrong comes with free will. Honestly, God laid out 0 temptations in the Garden, save the tree. Without that tree, Human Beings didn't even have an outlet to rebel should they want to, in essence, taking away that aspect of free will.

I refer you to Darkmatter's video.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P92yGnKXVvg&feature=channel_video_title

Does evil exist in "heaven"? It would make sense, since apparently there is free will in it.
Also, about the boldfaced part: that's the big point. WHY would he put that tree there when he already KNOWS they will take a piece of fruit? Then, after they do, WHY would he be upset and punish EVERYONE for ALL ETERNITY for something he already knew was going to happen before he even put the tree there?

Even as someone that typically doesn't like Conservatives at all, I am still a huge Ron Paul fan.

    Well, he's a libertarian, not a conservative.

But his isolationist stance and wanting to go back to the gold reserve though are what make him crazy...some things we should learn from history is that isolationist policies lead to bad things and metallic backed currency leads to a more volatile economy.

Another plus for him I feel is that he doesn't use his Christian faith as the basis for all his stances.

Again, I agree that he's a bit crazy. Smile After all, I don't expect Obama to be voted out, based on the current goings-on just north of me.

Yeah, I saw this earlier, I personally think that Ron Paul is crazy and should never be president, but he is a consistent crazy unlike all the other candidates who are quickly flip flopping back and forth and in the case of Bachmann, refuses to answer questions about her own statements.

I don't think he's crazy, I just think he's a staunch libertarian. While I may not agree with him, he would be much better than the rest of the Republican field. I'm all for pulling out of Iraq and legalizing pot.

That's like saying that if you put a motor on a scooter so it can move by itself, you can't push the scooter.

No it's not, because no one would argue that scooters have free will. Rolleyes

It makes perfect sense. "God" knows what will happen at all times. Correct? And, according to Triumph, he apparently has some grand master plan(which we both cannot understand yet completely understand thanks to the Bible). But he expects to complete this plan while the tools have minds of their own? Again, I refer to Darkmatter's metaphor of playing a chess game in which the pieces have minds of their own. Is this "God" just plain stupid? Why on Earth would you have a plan if you don't have the tools to do it? Then we can bring up the precarious placement of the tree in the garden(If you don't want them to eat from it, and know that they will if you put it there, why would you be upset that they do exactly what you know they're going to do?). If he has a plan, and is omnipotent, why doesn't he just DO it? Why does it require the deaths of BILLIONS in vain? Why does it require people like Pol Pot and Hitler? Why does it require hard workers to live in poverty, yet people who have never worked a day in their lives to live in luxury? To me, two options are apparent: either this omnipotent, omniscient god is cruel(to which the Bible will attest), or there is no such being.

About you bringing up time travel... That opens up a new can of worms. Now, not only do you have to prove free will exists, that there's a grand scheme, that there is a being that is invisible and immaterial controlling such a plan, and that evil comes from free will, you also have to prove that time travel is possible(Not to mention all the problems Darkmatter brought up).

You are speaking of the past as if it has yet to happen. This is not the case. You don't know what Obama WILL do during the year of 2010, you know what he HAS done. These things are important.

Now, explain how free will is at all compatible with omnipotence(I'm going to ignore the obvious incompatibilities of omnipotence with omniscience, omnipotence and omniscience with omni-benevolence and evil, and omnipotence with itself). If such a being as this "God" gave all people free will, something that means they make their OWN decisions, that means he cannot control their decisions. That's something he can't do. Hence, no omnipotence. Unless, of course, he CAN, which means we don't have free will, but an illusion of free will.

So, my computer parts are in. Do any of you guys have any guides that you know of for installing the parts into the case and how to boot it up, etc.?

If it matters, again, here's the case:

(P.S. I know that I double posted, but otherwise no one would have seen this latest part and I would have had to create a new thread, adding to clutter. Infract me if that is your desire.)

    We call them storms.

Pretty plain word from a pretty plain place: North VA.

However, if he always knows exactly what is going to happen forever, then there's a set course of events that WILL happen. There's no changing them. Ever. That means, whatever you do, you can never change what you're going to do. Free will doesn't work with an omniscient being.

Imagine your life as a timeline. This "God" knows every single thing on that timeline. That means the timeline is predetermined. Everything on there WILL happen. No matter what you do, you can't change it. That's not free will, that's a ball rolling down a ramp, following the grooves of the slide. That ball has no free will.

Then we can bring up the omnipotent thing. If we have free will, that means being able to do what we want when we want. If some all-powerful being can make us do whatever he wants, then we don't have free will. If he can't stop people killing others due to "free will," then he's not omnipotent. Unless, of course, he just doesn't WANT to stop disasters caused by "free will." Then he's cruel.
“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
    Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
    Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
    Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
    Then why call him God?”

And if evil comes from free will, does that mean there is evil in "heaven"? Because, if everyone in heaven has free will, and evil comes from free will, that must mean there is evil in heaven. Unless there's no free will in heaven, then why would you want to go to a place where you're not in control of your own actions?

This "free will" thing really doesn't work out any way.

Playing a chess game where the pieces move on their own is a very good metaphor.

Planning does not negate free will. Yes, God plan's out history, but he does not force you to do anything. God may know the outcome, but he never forces people to do stuff.

But if he knows what is going to happen at all times, then we can't deviate from that future; we're set doing exactly what he knows will happen. We can't do anything different than the timeline that he already knows about. Also, if "God" can't change what we're going to do, then he's not omnipotent.

The free will argument isn't a very good one.
