At the 5k in St. Louis I asked the head judge about the interaction between Trinisphere and Alluren I was told that Trinisphere doesn't apply to Alluren and you CAN in fact play the card for free. I was wondering if anyone had an explanation as the judge didn't get too in depth.
Here's a question I've been posting to my team, to mixed opinions. With the rise of Red Deck Wins, is path worth running mainboard in a deck with cascade? Or would it be better used as something else? If so what? I'm neutral on it. Just trying to see what opinions are out there.
I have a Manabond and use its ability, discarding Bloodghast to put my lands into play, does Bloodghast trigger from Landfall or not? I would think not because you can't break a spell or ability in half. Thanks in advance.

So last year for my birthday I hosted an 8 man Rath cycle draft. This year I'm wanting to do an Urza block draft because it's absurdly high in power level and seems like it would be a challenging draft. Does anyone have any tips on what to draft? What would be the best color/color combination?
I live in St. Louis. I'll definitely be there for Legacy, I'll try my best to be there for Standard as well. My team will be there for Standard regardless.
Aww c'mon Glurman. It's in the Mid-west. The most central location possible. Still, I'm going. Also quite excited to be at another Legacy GP. Does anyone else find it odd that it's in the same city as GP Flash? Here's hoping Wizards doesn't flub up some errata text last minute and ruin another GP.
Traded a local shop today. Got rid of 1 Pulse, 3 Ob Nixili, 3 Day of Judgement, for the following:
1 Beta Black Vise
2 Hurkyl's Recall
5 Knight of the Reliquary
4 Ranger of Eos
5 sets of Antiquities Tron including an extra Tower
A set of each 0 cost Legends Kobold
1 Signed Legends Gabriel Angelfire (One of my favorite cards + about 20 other signed Legends jank cards)
1 Dissension Rakdos Pit Dragon
1 Windborn Muse
1 Cold-Eyed Selkie
1 Daze
The truth is it's not. It's a holdover from when Legacy and Vintage shared lists. However Wizards just doesn't care enough about our format to test these things. Doug Linn did an article a month or two ago about cards that should be taken off the list. And even did some testing with them. This was one of them. He found it to be a glass cannon cause it was so fragile.
so what is baseruption? you know, this is starting to remind me of vintage... any deck playing blue has about 95% of the same cards, but that 5% makes it play entirely different.
anyway, does anyone have a good team america list? what are it's bad match ups? and why the hell don't we have an updated competitive thread?
Mostly the deck has fallen out of favor. Here's a recent top 8 list though.
Generaly speaking when I ran Faerie Stompy I ran a 4/3 or 3/2 split between SoFI and Jitte. Usually 4/3, as I always wanted Jitte, but multiples mean a dead card in your hand. But SoFI is always good.

I thought I ripped the shop off like it was cool.
