Well hopefully this settles itself before the ban time, because Wizards does not need to start crushing consumer confidence in the format that is suppose to be the money maker, but I think a lot of it will depend on FNM attendance. I mean in Alara/Zendikar standard, Jund was overwhelmingly played, but people kept going to FNM cause they liked playing with/against Jund so wizards didn't do anything.
I personally can't wait to take two people out with one Tainted Strike. The only reason I am not building her first is because my Sydri deck was ripe for transformation into Breya.
I actually had a RUG lands deck and I used Maelstrom Wanderer as the commander. I ran a higher than normal land count though and his purpose was to cut through all the lands I would have been drawing to hit gas. Overall it was a fairly fun deck.
Questions..
Why did they create Spell queller and reflector Mage in the same playable format?
The real questions are why did they print Sylvan Advocate in the format when no other color has 2-drops even close to its powerlevel, and why did they print Collected Company
Cause slowly we are going back to a better time in magic and the next set will have force spike and counterspell in it *crosses fingers in hope*
I have played on and off since judgement and I don't think wizards has ever banned a card this early in the format (minus banning tolarian academy before it was legal so it never saw real play). I believe the affinity ban happened sometime in the middle of the first standard it was legal in, and the caw blade ban happened two months before the banned cards were to rotate (cause wizards is unable to say deal with it for two more months).
You obviously never played during the first Mirrodin. Thragtusk didn't make RTR/Innistrad a bad standard, in fact it was better than standard had been in forever (though that is a pretty low bar, cause standard sucks by default.
Also as far as being a demon with spark, I was sure that it was a least stated that he was and old walker who is stuck in demon form due to losing his spark.
So some people in my group are have disputes on a couple of EDH rules and are saying they have been changed, but i cannot find any information as to these changes (in fact the commander website seems to not work at all) so here they are.
1) Tuck- Do you now have the option to send your general to the command zone when they are tucked (such as with hallowed burial)

2) Poison- has it been increased to 15?
Thanks in advanced.
