Ah, thanks for the correction. And yeah, unfortunately that's true. Honestly, though, I'd probably also run:

    Landsapper 1G R
    Creature - Human Shaman
t: Put the top 4 cards of your library into your graveyard. Add one mana of any color to your mana pool for each land card put into your graveyard this way.
    0/1
"Leave preservation to the others. I need power now." - Elan Torel

...though it's a bit closer of a margin. I figure it'd average 1-2 mana each activation.

I've been strongly considering a wedge with this set - is this better for that slot than Brutal Hordechief? I'm trying to decide between the two.

What do people think of Monastery Siege? I think both versions are useful, but I'm not sure whether my 400 card cube can run it, since I'd usually rather have Thassa.

    Monastery Siege 2U
    Enchantment
As Monastery Siege enters the battlefield, choose khans or dragons.
Khans - At the beginning of your draw step, draw an additional card, then discard a card.
Dragons - Spells that opponents cast that target you or a permanent you control cost an additional 2 to cast.

I also like how well he plays with equipment. I really want to drop bonesplitter turn 1, thus guy turn 2, and then equip, activate and swing on turn 3. Smile

    Snow on Cold

Admirableadmiral: The land is a touch odd since most of the time it will read more akin to "Target attacking creature doesn't untap next turn" with the exception of vigilance creatures. Not a bad thing at uncommon, but I'm not sure if that is what you intended for it to do. Fine card, though, and the creature is sound if aggressive.

Legend: Not sure why your land should have the non-snow clause as it weakens the card unnecessarily. Snowfall just seems like an unnecessarily weaker version of landfall, and is not justified by a particularly powerful ability.

Asrama: I think your land really ought to be a rare, but I like it. Also, I like Boreal Traveler, and the synergy with the land. Good job.

Antny223: Frozen village should probably be an uncommon, since only getting it every other turn for colors seems like enough of a limitation. On the creature, it could have easily been just any snow land.

Polendino: The activation cost needs to be at least :1mana::symb:. Lands that can kill things on their own are powerful, and this weakens them if they don't die. Biophobe has a nice flavor to it and is a ninteresting take on a 2 power 1 mana creature.

Thelas: Fixed Library. No problem there. Nou seems a little powerful, since he basically has a better version of "Creatures you control are unblockable". Unfortunately, he can create stalemates under the new legendary rules if your opponent has a copy too.

Willows: I really like Icebound Hamlet. Not sure what the flavor of the non-snow is - and I might have preferred snow - but I love the design. I also enjoy your creature. Excellent job this round.

    Crits up.

    Team Screwdriver

    Enchantress' Garden
    Legendary Enchantment Land (R)
Enchantress' Garden enters the battlefield tapped.
t: add G or W to your mana pool.
Whenever you cast an enchantment spell, you may put a +1/+1 counter on target creature.

I like it a lot. It feels powerful, but well-balanced. Interacts nicely with enchantments, check. Good job.

Inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis - Driver

    Harmonic Reflection 1GR
    Enchantment - Aura {R}
    Enchant Artifact or Enchantment
At the beginning of your end step sacrifice Harmonic Reflection unless you pay 1 for each charge counter on it.
Whenever an activated ability of the enchanted permanent is played, put a charge counter on Harmonic Reflection, then copy that ability. If that ability targets, you may choose new targets for the copy.
Anything worth doing, is worth doing again.

This doesn't really feel like a green effect at all other than the name; I would have preferred it to be UR instead. The effect is creative and balanced, however.

If my first card was an enchantment, but not an Aura, can my new card interact with Auras?

    Totem Engine 3
    Artifact (R)
When Totem Engine enters the battlefield, exile target Aura.
2, :symtap:: Put a copy of the exiled Aura onto the battlefield and attach it to a permanent of your choice. (It must still be able to legally enchant the chosen permanent.)[/font]

That's... a really clever way of making aura's better. Given the name I expected something to do with Totem Armor, but this is better. This might need a clause to prevent you from stacking the same enchantment on one permanent, but even without it I really like it.

    Overheat RR

    Instant (C)

Target artifact deals damage to its controller equal to the number of charge counters on it, then its controller sacrifices it.

"The device is drawing a lot of power. I suspect I shall next have to install an exhaust fa--"

Targeted sacrifice is almost never printed. Also, sacrifice tends to be more black than red. It would have worked better for me if it had destroyed the artifact; as it stands it might be too powerful for :symr::symr:. Not entirely sure.

    Artifice Booster 2UU
    Enchantment (R)
    Enchant artifact
Enchanted artifact has "1, :symtap:: Put a counter on this artifact that is the same kind already on this artifact."
"Always modify. Chances are it'll get better...until it explodes."

This is... incredibly narrow. And should be an uncommon. And could cost 1 mana less.

I am in a planeswalker mood today!

    Olena Enchantress 2GW
    Planeswalker - Olena (MR)
+1: Search your library for an enchantment card and reveal that card. Shuffle your library, then put the card on top of it.
-2: Until end of turn, whenever you cast an enchantment spell, draw a card.
-7: Return all enchantment cards from your graveyard to the battlefield then put all enchantment cards from your hand onto the battlefield.
    [3]

This is some nice enchantment support. The replenish on the third ability doesn't really interact with the rest of the card, but I know why it's there.

    Last Time on Team Screwdriver
    Smeltmaster's Mantra 1WR
    Enchantment (R)
Artifact creatures and equipped creatures can't attack you or planeswalkers you control, and can't block creatures you control.
The blade always defers to the hammer and anvil.

Interesting card. I think it would also work at :1mana::symr::symr:, but it's fine as it is.

That is a... cat? Yes? I do not seem to remember them with such sharp claws... but no matter. Beasts such as it should still respond to my touch, however out of practice I may be...

Intaho calmly cast the following on himself:

    Druid's Touch :1mana::symg: {C}
    Sorcery
Choose one - Either target creature you control gains Protection from Creatures until end of turn; or search your library for a basic land card, reveal it, and put it into your hand.
Wherever a druid walks, they need not fear to lose their way or fall victim to the local wildlife.

    (Spending :symg::symg: to cast it).
Intaho then walks past the beast, ruffling its fur with his porcelain-like hands before moving on in his path.

If that fails, Intaho looks at disgust at his hands as the charm flickers and fades, and then gestures angrily at the cat.

If I cannot use my old finesse, instead I must resort to more... blunt methods.

    Fertilize :symg::symb: {C}
    Instant
Target creature gets -2/-2 until end of turn. You may play an extra land this turn if able.

Looking at the wares in the market, Intaho seemed drawn to a fine staff made of fine birch. It approached the vender, handed her what she called "coins", and then took the staff. Immediately he felt more in tune with the flow of mana.
This is better... hm. South or north... I believe I heard something of a Lighthouse, perhaps the secret to reclaiming some of my power is there.

At that, Intaho left Bengrina to head off to the Lighthouse to the south.

Ugh, can't believe I forgot to include the :3mana:... derp. Crits up!

    Conduit Grid 2

    Artifact (U)

Conduit Grid and other artifacts you control have "T: Add
    1 to your mana pool."

"What is the true purpose of artifice? Is it to solve the big
problems of our world or is it to ease our everyday life?"
    Tra
wondered as he looked at his newest contraption. "And more
importantly: Which category does this thing belong to?"

Mind Stone is already considered to be quite good, and this is miles better at ramping. It's a great effect, but needs to either be rare or cost more. Oh, and the flavor text was really long.

So In! Like the first round already!

    Energy Coils 3
    Artifact {U}
Whenever a player casts a non-creature spell from their hand, put a charge counter on Energy Coils.
Remove a charge counters from Energy Coils: Add 1 to your mana pool.
"Excess residual mana recollected for your convenience," - Instruction Manual

This is probably too powerful, as it essentially reduces the costs of most of your spells by :1mana:. Such effects have always been rare. Worse, this allows for the buildup of mana, and even gives you some based on what your opponents play. I'm not saying that I don't love the card, but it's far too powerful an effect for the uncommon slot.

    Amateurs Gauntlets 3
    Artifact-Equipment (U)
Equipped creature gets +2/+0 and has "When this creature attacks, flip a coin. If the flip results in heads, this creature gains double strike until end of turn."
    Equip 3
"It doesn't always work, but when it does...wow!"
    -Artificer Harold

Yeah, this seems like something WOTC would print. I think the potential blowout swing is mitigated by the total 6 mana needed to cast and equip, so it's balanced there. This effect feels well-cost, though I wish the flavor had something more to do with goblins.

    Daze Bauble 1
    Artifact C
    t, Sacrifice Daze Bauble:
Tap target creature and draw a card.
A mass of hovering light which the eye cannot track.

The closest thing in terms of ability to this would be the spellbombs, and this feels a bit weaker than they are, which it should be considering it doesn't cost mana to activate and always cantrips. Well-designed and balanced, and playable in limited.

    Anneal Mantra :2mana::symwg:
    Enchantment - Aura (C)
    Enchant creature
If enchanted creature has First Strike, it gains Reach.
If enchanted creature has Lifelink, it gains Trample.
If enchanted creature has Vigilance, it gains Deathtouch.

"What you want is merely an extension of what you already have but don't know how to use properly yet." - Femeref expression

Interesting little enchantment, but this would probably need to be uncommon. The combinations also seem to be random and kinda oddly synergistic. On the whole, the card feels a bit too narrow and complicated to use well/effectively. Also, monowhite shouldn't be able to hand out deathtouch. I would have preferred to see some actual mana symbols there.

    Seal of Dissolution UU
    Enchantment (C)
Sacrifice Seal of Dissolution: Return target nonland permanent and all cards attached to it to their owners hands.

I like it. The seal cycle was always interesting, and a slightly worse/better boomerang works well. Good job.

    Tax Seal WW
    enchantment [r]
When tax seal enters the battlefield choose a card type.
Cards of the chosen type cost 1 more to play.
Sacrifice tax seal: counter target spell of the chosen type unless its controller pays 1.

Unfortunately, the card had to be uncommon or common, so this doesn't fulfill the challenge requirements. On another note, I really like the card. It seems balanced, flavorful, and potentially quite good. Excellent job; shame it doesn't fit the challenge.

    Exhaustion Reverser 3 mana
    Artifact (U)
:symtap:: Tap target untapped creature, then untap target tapped creature.

Interesting. Kinda simple, and nothing we haven't really seen before. The name could use some work. Quite good in limited, and balanced to boot.
