I've found that no one at my LGS ever seems to care that I always pile shuffle my commander deck. I find that pile shuffling helps not only get rid of any mana pockets that might arise, but I usually don't see the same cards that I used in a previous game with the deck.
I would like to add some cards that I think you left out that would do wonders for a G/W EDH token deck, as well as a mono-white token deck.
Court Street Denizen: When you think about White's ability to make tokens, you can get a bunch of white creatures out pretty fast. This means that for each token that you pump out, that's another creature that enables you to tap down blockers that your opponents might have had waiting to stop your inevitable swarm of tokens. Hero of Bladehold + this card's effect means that's two less creatures able to block. Combine this with Doubling Season & Parallel Lives, that's about what, 8 less creatures able to block? Add Rhys the Redeemed into the mix and you are looking at a mess of free attacks on your opponents.
Crowned Ceratok: I understand that it is probably expensive for the mana cost, but there's many ways giving +1/+1 counters to creatures. The one I use for my token deck is Cathars' Crusade, which not only pumps up creatures coming in, but also pumps up existing creatures, and having trample means that in a short time, those creatures can plow through blockers and hit your opponent's life. When Ivy Street Denizen is thrown in, both Cathars' Crusade and Ivy Street Denizen can grow creatures quickly, especially if the tokens being made are Rhys' green & white warriors.
This is just what I thought of these new cards. The purpose of EDH of course is to find ways of using cards that may not fit other constructed events, and I think I'll definitely be picking up the two denizens and Crowned Ceratok for my deck.
I'm tired of always playing allied colors and if the enemy colored lands are removed, ravnica will pretty much look like crap.
Ravnica will not look like crap if the checklands fall out of standard. Standard will have the ten shocklands + the 10 guildgates, which people use. It's possible though that since the enemy checklands fall out in september, they should print the entire set for M14.
Here is my take on the two cards that stood out most to me.
Boros Elite: I see a 1 drop human soldier that can pump herself when two other creatures are on the field. Sure it seems a little slow, but in the right deck, you can get her pumped up relatively quickly. My monowhite tribal commander deck could put her to good use!
Murder Investigation: Now this is a must for token producers, especially if the deck has Crusader of Odric and Cathars' Crusade and something that you can pump out tokens. Since Crusader of Odric's power is each equal to the number of creatures you control, the more tokens you have out, the more she will be able to be pumped out, especially if Cathars' Crusade is out. If she has this aura attached to her, when she dies (even if she is destroyed by a spell, assuming it's not something that lowered her power to 0), you get those tokens equal to her power, and each of those tokens will be pumped up thanks to Cathars' Crusade. Very good application and it's only a 2 drop.
Well, I probably won't be able to get these cards probably till this weekend, but thanks for the suggestions guys. I decided to do the following change for right now:
Celestial Ancient I figure will pump any creatures I have out for each enchantment I have, Azorius Guildmage can tap creatures down and also counter activated abilities, and Wall of Denial can block stuff up to 8 power and can't be easily targeted. Phyrexian Rebirth is there to provide a wrath effect if I'm struggling, then give me a big creature to use. Ethereal Armor is in there because it's a cheap card.
If all you have is the 100 cards in the list you posted, then I'd say it's the best you can do. Not sure what you were expecting to get out of this forum if you're not open to including new cards in your deck.
The problem I face is that I can only afford at the most $5 worth of cards. At my LGS, they price Eldrazi Conscription at $6. So this is pretty much a pretty tight budget deck.
Everything I have in my list of cards is what I have available. Corrupted Conscience I have but I've been told by a friend that the Converted Mana cost is just too high to put into my deck.
Felidar Umbra's really the only cheapest one I could get at my LGS. They're out of Diplomatic Immunity, and generally, what I have access to is what I have to use really.
Diplomatic Immunity generally means that I won't be casting anymore Auras on Bruna and will make her a target for wrath effects (which shroud doesn't protect against since it doesn't target). Sure, there's the chance that she'll have totem armor, but if they play something like Tempest of Light or something else to destroy the totem armor, then Bruna is a sitting duck.
Eldrazi Conscription is something that I don't know I'll be able to get because it's fairly good for any deck.
Kor Spiritdancer would be good to getting closer to auras, but she's not exactly cheap either at my LGS.
Righteous Authority would be the one I'd most like for this deck mostly for the extra card and the pump that the aura gives. It's relatively cheap too compared to Eldrazi Conscription.
Felidar I'm not even going to talk much about. Easily gotten.
Now back to what I can modify with what I have access to. Any suggestions?
A while back I had a thread in which I was asking for help choosing enchantments for a Bruna deck. I now have a deck completed, but it hasn't been performing as well as I would have liked. Here's the deck list below:
I welcome any suggestions you guys can give me to make it run better. I seem to not do good with the amount of creatures I currently have in it and would like to have more support control wise so I can get bruna out and enchant her to be as powerful as she can be.
Having Hero of Bladehold and attacking ensures that you get a good pump to your other tokens, along with further enhancing the presence of tokens with two more tokens attacking alongside her.
I was searching on the gatherer for cards that both you and I can use, as you are pretty much in a similar position to me when it comes to needing land in order to activate the Baloth. Here's some permanent fixes that I've happened upon.
Boundless Realms: Expensive for mana curve, but the benefit of using it is that you pretty much double the amount of land you already have out. Downside is that it only searches your basic lands. It's still good for triggering landfall multiple times.
Collective Voyage: This is another one of those search your deck for basic lands, but the downside is that it also benefits your opponents too. Of course, the other plus side is that you get to search for as much as everyone has paid. New Frontiers I think is the basis for this card, but without the benefit of everyone paying mana.
Elfhame Sanctuary: Unlike the two sorceries, I think this is a good as you can get for being able to trigger landfall consistently. Of course, it requires you to sacrifice drawing a card, but worth it for a 4/4 beast.
Centaur Druid: A creature with a repeatable landfall trigger ability if you consistently deal damage to a player with it, of course only for basic lands.
One with Nature: An aura that makes any creature a Centaur Druid.
Weathered Wayfarer: A repeatable 1 drop white creature that for 1 mana and tapping it, allows you to search your library for any land card and put it into your hand. Useful if you are missing land drops and you don't have to sacrifice your useful lands for basics with the other cards.
Of course, we can't forget about fetchlands such as Naya Panorama, Bant Panorama, Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds, all of which count for a land drop and bring in an additional land drop as a sacrifice.
The very final thing I can suggest is adding Ruin Ghost. As a two drop, it's not exactly strong, but for the ability to tap it for 1 white, you can take advantage of a land already out on the field, and trigger land fall by blinking it.
These are all that I could find that would be strong enough to give you what you might want if you feel like you need to hold on to the Baloth.
I think since Commander is a casual format that is merely supported by Wizards, but not does not have any sanctioned events dedicated for it, the ban list is therefore not in control of wizards. So I think it'll still be updated as needed by the people responsible for the format.
Court Street Denizen: When you think about White's ability to make tokens, you can get a bunch of white creatures out pretty fast.
