It was for this group of leaks they might have had nothing to do, but it was said this group had been involved in stuff prior to this too.

So you don't even know Ari, and go off 1 video over 3 years ago and another from a high pressure situation where anyone would act as excited as possible to win that game.

This post is probably a pretty bad idea since things like "some one got banned for calling some one salty" is probably missing so many part of the story that the statement can in no way be taken at face value.

Is everyone a jerk at one time or another? Yeah, sure, especially when you lose at your job. Does that mean they are a jerk 99.9% of the rest of the time of their lives? Most definitely not.

100% believe this is a Hasbro decision and not a WoTC decision. It still feels 100% bad and probably sets a really bad precedent.

We are talking about scouting in a legal way to get a competitive edge. It really isn't that different at all.
As in within current rules, right ?

No, that is not the discussion we are having. The discussion we are having is if the rules should change regarding scouting, and first post based on a high profile players' opinion and article made this discussion start.

I guess you are not understanding what was being said. I was making a point that scouting is done in all sorts of environments and at no point should things be changed there, so it is the same here.

I think this is a pretty easy Lightning Bolt. It is the most powerful in a vacuum. Brainstorm is only broken in conjunction with fetchlands. I think Ritual is 2 and Hymn is 3.

So at what point do people complaining realize that there is a limited format to consider when they make these MM sets?

I have been on both sides of this, going to a PT without a team and going as part of the one the large teams. The only real advantage I had being part of a team is that it was easier for me to get the information on the other teams. Just because a person does not have a team does not mean that are not allowed to scout. When I went with out a team I did my own scouting and had all of the info I needed by beginning of day 2. With the team, we had most relevant decks by round 6/7 but on the same side most people know what I was playing too.

As for the comparison with sports scouting, other teams may not have the game plans of the other teams (unless you are the Patriots), but you will know that a pitcher relies on his breaking ball or a goalie will protect the stick side more or basketball player will make a certain move before they shoot. This is no different. You will never get some one's 75 card deck list but you will get an idea of what they are playing and then you have to be smart about what to expect.

Two minutes is a long time to be honest. It is one thing to be taking 15-20 seconds to think of a play or a line of plays, but when you take 2 minutes, that is 4% of the total time for the event between potentially 3 games with 2 players.

It is ok to take long terms if you are constantly making plays, like Storm for instance, but just making a play or 2 a turn and taking 2 minutes is pretty slow. You should constantly be thinking about your next play during your opponents turn to save time.

Here is the thing about Modern, most higher level players hate the format because 1)It is stale, and 2) The sideboard cards are so powerful that it makes the games super swingy and high variance.

They need to do something to make the format fun again or it is going to get worse quickly.
