Mar 12, 2008Itinerant Soldier posted a message on To quit or not to quitTBH, having time for Magic at college is hit or miss. It is mostly weekend stuff there because so much time has to be focused on work. First thing I'd do is scout the DCI site and see what registered shops are around the college. After there, I'd just take it one step at a time. Maybe you just need to lessen your involvement instead of just outright quit. Hope this helped...Posted in: Psi's Blog

Apr 4, 2007Itinerant Soldier posted a message on [Deck] 'Tings and 'Tings and 'TingsI saw that. Weird timing, IMO. I like most of his deck including the Insidious Dreams but what I don't like is he put an extraneous combo in the deck. I've always been "the deck is the deck and if you go away from the deck you've lost focus" kinda guy. But it's certainly an interesting take on it tho. Definitely took most of that decklist to heart.Posted in: ItSos Implode-o-rama

And sorry about the recent death of cats. Not good to see them go in a group like that after that long. -

Thanks to gorckat for finding this quiz too. Kinda fun to reaffirm the word used to describe your choice of religion. I just hope no one in the government sees this and puts me at 75% terrorist... -
Feb 9, 2007Itinerant Soldier posted a message on More MomoconIt's definitely a video game character. That missing character goes by the name of Lady from Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, if I'm not mistaken. However, that HUGE gun looks nothing like a bazooka with a machete at the end like Lady carries so I could be wrong. The costume is right tho... It could just be the angle.Posted in: Alacar's Design Zone
Anyway, nice pictures all. Entertaining indeed. -

Actually, that's semi-true. I've known many people while I've played who netdeck and when they switch decks to a similar type of deck they don't know how to play it at all. I have no actually problem with netdecking but you MUST know how to build a deck in the first place if you're going to do that... otherwise you may end up with an idiot who knows nothing about the decks he's netdecking...
As for FNMs and why jerks keep showing up there, the whole thing has to do with how much those FNM foils sell for. Some of those in my area can sell for as high as 20 bucks a piece. Not bad for a free tourney. And this doesn't include that some use FNM as a tune up for States/Regionals/whatever.
Oh and u do know Maro might just post as Armored_Cloaked_Elf now... thanks for inviting insanity to the boards...
In any case, brace yourselves again coastal areas... and world brace your pockets. It's gonna be a long ride... and hopefully, nobody gets hurt this time.

Didn't see it coming but it makes perfect sense after thinking about it... but I do end up taking the Democrats side most of the time for some reason.
Thanks to you two for getting to the exact heart of this matter. Well that and what her wishes were. If there were serious hope for Terri to get better and the husband wasn't believable I might actually side with the parents... but there isn't. Let's face it and move on.
But as to why this whole thing is being politicized... well it has to do with the far reaching aspects of this case. Lawyers everywhere should be cheering right now because of the fees they'll get off living wills. Well in some states at least... I dunno exactly what's legal where but I heard that in some areas there are free documents that are legal in court for determinations in such cases... Besides, if Terri were to have her tube permanently put in this could mean that under such disputes you might be at the whim of a hateful/overly-hopeful family and I dunno anyone personally that would want to stay in such a state (whether that's permanently vegetative or not... it's still horrible).
Mark: Exactly there should be something a lot clearer than what is out there... I don't care which side it works for just as long as I can die somehow if something that horrible happens or worse. Personally that'd be my choice right now....
Also, in an unrelated topic, did anyone see the irony of Schindlers trying to save lives while a Nazi kills others in another area of the country...
On the subject, in Mirrodin's case, because of its artifact base, no one color really won out, IMO. However, did anyone else notice that besides the banned cards all the other cards are either perfectly powered or WAY mana-overcosted. Hence my vote for "nope" on this one... The only thing missing from the block was a way to deal with Colossus besides bouncing it or Altar's Light... and they did give us that in Betrayers anyway.
Edit: "Clint Eastwood" was annoying but everything else on that album is good stuff.
