What do you think of 3x Liliana 2x Necrogen Mists?
I used to play it 4-2 but I have been running into an unholy ammount of Needles, so I'm thinking of cutting one Lily.
Snowballs chance in hell, she's been dead forever and has no connection with Vraska.
I'm holding out hope for Pernicious Deed personally.
Fantastic card that's in sore need of a paper reprint.
I find it harder to believe they'd add Pernicious Deed than Braids, Perny is a high-dollar card that has been avoided for a while, Braids is equally unpopular amonst casual magic players but she's "fun".
But then again, the best Duel Decks have been the non-red ones so this may have a big money card like Demonic Tutor or Elspeth.
Don't play Go for the Throat, robots are still popular and you don't want 5 dead cards there (Wrench Mind is so sub-optimal against robots I often side it out). 3 Smother 2 Dismember seems more all-around, though our removal package will always be a meta-call.
These decks tend to have modern bordered casual goodies that weren't modern before.
I'd like to see Tainted Wood,Memory Lapse and Diabolic Edict (MTGO Art, there's precedent) would be very welcome.
They also tend to have a chase uncommon, Remand is the most obvious option.
Lastly they have had money cards that were money because of avaliability instead of playability, of which I think Creakwood Liege is a casual friendly card that fits that spot like a glove.
I dunno, I come from beating two merfolk decks at FNM thanks to Extirpate.
Zoo isn't tribal but it's still hurn by their 4x packages being so easy to prey upon, hit what you know will be lethal if allowed breathing room (BTE, Rampager, Goyf, One) early and the deck becomes just a collection of little *****s that die to our Smothers/Pox before they hit or are stopped dead by the Bridge, and a goblin that quickens our deck, plus some sub-par spells for the match.
Lastly, if there's an obvious demand among the player base for playmats containing Mr Argyle's artwork, why hasn't WoTC, their subsidiaries, or the companies who act as their officially licensed playmat contractors produced playmats with said artwork to fill the demand since the time they asked Steve to stop manufacturing and selling them himself? Is there a logical reason for their refusal, or is their lack of interest and initiative purely out of spite towards him, the players, and the other community members who want these mats in circulation?
I think it's pretty obvious WotC doesn't want to sell us what we want, they want us to want what they sell.
That's why stores had to stock and keep leftover Dragon's Maze playmats galore knowing full well they would have sold like sex flavored chocolate cocaine if instead of random ***** cards they had Teysa, Tajic, Melek and Exava's arts in there.
Why don't we just concentrate on doing what the deck's meant to do and just sideboard in more removal (Smother hits everything in small zoo) along Extractions and Extirpate to 4-for-2 them all the way?
I hope M15 is at least full as **** of new cards and cards that never apeared in the modern border, that way people won't be able to compare them to the modern border versions that don't even exist and the change will be much easier to digest.
Only thing I hope for this set is for us to finally get modern frame versions of cards not on the resserve list that got/are getting new art from MTGOCube/Vintage Masters. It's the last chance we have for a modern bordered Diabolic Edict, Mind Twist, Red/Blue Elemental Blast, etc. before the ugly new frame.
Heh, Nissa sucks so much they had to license a non-card related product to use the character again.
I hope these are a hit and warrant a second wave, I want Elspeth.
That an afterthought sunday night side event for a Sealed GP, in a third world country where Legacy isn't supported at all still managed to gather 1/4th of a SCG Open with nearly no repeat decklists (couple lands, couple shardless, couple miracles but there was representation for every one of the 30 tier 1/1.5 decks plus a bunch of rogues) while the biggest and most important Legacy GP is a thousand netdecks. And that I find it disheartening that with the massive variety of competitive and anti-meta decks that can be made most players seem to naturally get stuck with three decks.
In contrast GP Mexico City's Legacy Championship was a small 40 people event but there was such massive variety of decks both Tier 1 and rogue that sideboards were almost moot.
Top 4 were Cephalid Breakfast, Reanimator, Maverick and Shardless BUG.
Edit: Reanimator was actually ANT and won the final against Cephalid Breakfast.
I don't expect more than one money card, and I don't expect it to be a big money card, no Bitterblossom, Perny or Cryptic Command. Maybe Remand or Thoughtseize, maybe Abrupt Decay or Maelstrom Pulse.
I used to play it 4-2 but I have been running into an unholy ammount of Needles, so I'm thinking of cutting one Lily.
You should include that in what value you got from the trade.

Not gonna happen, LED is restricted.
These gotta be for Vintage Masters, Judge Promo and FNM Promo.
