yes. a spell doesn't have to resovle to be considered cast.
601.2. To cast a spell is to take it from the zone it’s in (usually the hand), put it on the stack, and pay its
costs, so that it will eventually resolve and have its effect
"When either ability resolves, it creates a copy (or two) of a spell. The copies are created on the stack, so they're not "cast." Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell won't trigger. Each copy will then resolve like a normal spell, after players get a chance to cast spells and activate abilities. Each copy resolves before the original spell does"
the copies are not "cast" so Inexorable Tide will not trigger
I play the same way, I enjoy Rogue decks for this very reason. I love when I beat a Netdecker who has studied how the Pro who built their deck says how to play it, and has no idea how to make it work on the fly. I get the same reaction you are decribing!
I used to play competativly 2-3 times a week, I god pretty good and could hold my own at a 5k or a PTQ, but I got to the point I hated the people at my LGS, so now I play Casual with my friends and have actually watched their skill level raise and get better, and when I get that itch for a good Competition I log on to MTGO and play there for a couple hours..... gives me the best of both worlds.
Well, I know I just lost my reason for going to FNM (which was Free at my LGS FYI) I have no desire to go lose to Netdecks, from the Wanna-Be-Pro crew at my LGS and basicly get nothing in return. I enjoy the Game and can Play at my kitchen table and probably have more fun.
At least with the Promos I could Justify to myself that even if I wasn't getting the FNM card, I would still work my way to the Textless cards.

Says:
Equipped creature gets +2/+2, has intimidate, and is a black Zombie.
my question is this:
Does the statement "is a black zombie" mean it loses its other qualities?
I ask because cards like
Rise from the grave
state:
That creature is a black Zombie in addition to its other colors and types.

3 Ezuri, Renegade Leader
2 Asceticism
4 Copperhorn Scout
3 Ratchet Bomb
Ratchet Bomb
I'm going to use 3 C. Scouts, 3 Ezuri, 3 R. Bombs, and 2 G. waves.
Leyline of Sancitity
Does the Leyline stop the second effect? I don't think it does but I need a confirmation of it.
Play Frequency: Most evenings
Format: Mostly draft, but I also do 2-man STD to test new deck ideas
fling
if you Fling Death's Shadow it uses its current P/T correct?
I ask because I had a Player try to use the Gatherer ruling:
Death's Shadow's ability applies only while Death's Shadow is on the battlefield. In all other zones, its power and toughness are 13.
to say he got full benefit from fling.
