I'm happen to be a bit of a programmer myself, so I'll make a suggestion. You can use Greg's idea to check the size of the image, but do so when someone clicks the "save signature" or "preview signature" buttons. The image won't save in the first place unless it's of valid size. That would restrict the size without creating the performance issue inherent to checking whenever a post loads.
I've not played it myself, but a friend of mine is convinced that tribal snakes is not only Tier1, but will OWN most other decks. His predictions for Tier1 are:

I don't know about Dampen Thought in constructed. It'd be neat if it's viable, but I'm not sure it will be. I personally don't think we can accurately judge what tier any decks will be until we have the full list of BoK.
I've gotta agree with GodoftheGrove. Foglio art would fit that flavor text perfectly. Somehow, though, I doubt there will be ANY Foglio art in this block. It just doesn't fit the overall theme. A shame, too, since I'm crazy about the Foglios.
As far as the card goes, I doubt it will see play in constructed. But it will certainly see play in limited. With all of the 2-for-1 cards in this block (e.g. Soulshifters), this card becomes a virtual 2-for-1 itself. Last time I checked, 2-for-1 is good in limited.
I think it could be pretty good in limited, but not in constructed. In constructed you would certainly rather use Plow Under. But this card is a straight 1-for-1 in limited, can come down on turn 3 off Sustainer or Elder, and stunts your opponent's board development by a turn. It's one of those cards that is just ok anytime, but absolutely nuts against a mana screwed opponent.
