Sure. And what do you make of Kokusho (Quark - Town One-Shot Visionary) ?

    OMGUS much?

Actually Puzzle, i find a few things about that claim suspicious.
First off, we would have to explain the "gambler" point.

    Second,
[quote=AzraelAs is, I began day one not knowing the identity of Odo, but since then I've been able to piece together a pretty good idea who he is. If I was able to, I'd imagine the scum would be able to as well, if I go into any detail whatsoever.[/quote]

Now, if you were to have changed his role, with odo. Then Az would have known who Odo was Day one... he would have known QUITE well. And also, at that point, by the time of that statement, he would have had his role changed, and not know the owner of the Odo claim.

The way that i see this is that Puzzle is scum trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the town; and only leaving Odo, *a HIGHLY probable cop-ish role* as the preson able to Counter claim him, bringing odo to light...

For this, and the targetting of 3 dead players, Vote Puzzle

Sorry mate, this doesn't quite all add up.

As for me, until i get further consensus, since i havent done ANYTHING scummy really, i am not going to claim as Puzzle was the one to suggest such, and i HIGHLY believe he is Scum...

And just after a re-reading, and a gut feeling.

I believe i started playing just at the end of Stronghold. Drifted in an out for masques block (Was in for MM itself, out for Prophesy and Nemesis) came back, kinda, during invasion really lightly. Drifted in and out of Oddessy. Played Onslaught - Now. With random 4-5 month breaks *I tended to break just before/after the middle set came out for Kami block and Ravnica block* And then came back after the last set was released.

Oh, I've got other RPing background, I'm just saying I've got the longest WP background. But also, my WP is being referred to negatively, saying that it had no planning, that it was accepted automatically, etc. etc. Complaining about things like favoritism, it seems. LT shouldn't be the whipping boy for people that are annoyed about their own WPs.

Nai, we arent saying ANY of that... all that has been stated in this thread was that it was SIMILAR to Conquest of Mages *which as far as I know, it is* and that Senori Approved it.

    Thats it Smile

Well, I got bored, saw this image... SOMEWHERE, thought it was cool and made it into a Banner/Avvy image.

Cookie to the first to tell me its origins.

Can people please stop bringing up LT? It's not as if it's a bad thing. And you guys seem to forget that, unless I'm mistaken, I've got the most WPing (and probably WMing) experience out of most everyone in the Colo. El Gato isn't here, Volrath's Bane isn't here... I'm not sure if Siberkil is around, but... You get the idea. Stop bringing up my WP in these arguments.

Nai, it isn't really a problem with your WP at all.
We are just using it as a manner of comparison, comparing that to CoM.
    CoM to LT.
Crooklyn to others... Its nothing particular about the actual games, its just a discussion about acceptance meathods. I truthfully, havent read about your game that much :p

Since people seem to be confused, these rules are naught but a test run. There will be refinements and changes before the acctual launch :p

Because I'm a horrible, biased Moderator.

    Also, because at the time Conquest of Mages was;
    a) pretty dead.
    b) based on dice.
    c) going in an entirely different path.

    Okay then, using those critera.

    ME is
    A) Pretty dead.
    B) Not based on dice *mine is*
    c) going a completely different path...

I thank you all for the support.

We have 17 players now. And if we can keep 3/4's of them active, i think it would make this the most active WP atm Smile

Shizumi is much less distinct from Crooklyn than Mosaic Earth from After the Dark.

Okay, so let me get this straight. Are you or arent you saying no to this game being created.

The conceptual similarity between ME and CQ is much closer than, say, Crooklyn and LT.

    I stand.

That was not the comparison i drew. The comparison i drew was between Shizumi, and The Tools Called Ninja.

In each, you are a particular Race/Lineage. Each that provides a unique bonuses/Penalties. Then you can/have to join a particular Clan.

Both are based on Japanese History/Culture/Popular Culture.

I fail to see how that can be seen as a large conceptual difference. Or atleast, how it can be seen as a larger conceptual difference then CQ/ME

Yeah, i know, it's most magic players dream to work at, run/manage, or own a Card shop. Discounts, free merchandising, all that.

My question is How would one go about it? For probably the past 5 years or so, its been something i've thought about, and concidered. In the next 2 days, i'm moving to BC, and i know quite a few people there; one of which that also has a similar wish.

So, say in three years i were to attempt to open a shop, what would it take?
What plans and preperation if i wanted to Run say FNM/Release events?

    Thankee :p

I'm still hesitant to put up two "Strategy" WPs unless the makers of Mosaic Earth retire theirs.

First, I don’t really see why that would be an issue. We have what? 7-8 RP WP's. What about them? They are incredibly similar, hell, some of them are much more similar then CQ is to ME.

I don't see why one game should have to be destroyed to create another. We need new life here. A lot of these games are on life support, surviving by a few dedicated players who are pushing to keep them alive, and who truly enjoy the games.

What is the reason that these games are barely living? I do not wish to be offensive, but it is because the mod styles. TFE’s Crooklyn, and Agent Dark’s Mosaic Earth/After the Dark, survived and did well not because the game premise was new, *Half of Crooklyn is regurgitated previous WP’s* although they did cover some new ground. (Nox and Shizumi are older WP’s that didn’t do too well if i'm not mistaken.) These two WP’s did well because of the WM line-up. The OTHER half of the activity of the game.

When Forum Domination was active, the reason it did SO well was because it didn’t need and or really have any mod impact. The mod’s came, they looked at the Production lists, okayed/Nayed them, and then left. When the One place where mod activity was needed came up, *Combat* the game faltered, and without that crucial aspect, it fell apart.

This game fixes that, the mod does one thing in Combat according to the plan. They post the battle map, and add any special rules/special events. The mod comes online once a day for about 5 minutes to make sure the game is flowing, and then he leaves.

In this aspect, it is different from almost every other game here. It doesn’t need anyone but the players for the most part. As the game progresses, the mod impact is felt, and needed less and less. Eventually, players can post the combat maps as they get more and more accustomed to it, and EVERYTHING can be done by the players.

It has been my and Tidwell’s plan from the start to have a nearly Autonomous WP. A game that plays itself. I don’t really see why, or even believe that Agent Dark’s WP should have to be torn apart to make this happen. ME isn’t its own WP, it’s a sub-WP, much like Elbonia, or Shizumi is.

Why is the CQ / ME thing being singled out?
