    Indeed.
    No need to be snide.
But there is a rational for everything.
One is simply for the maintainance and upkeep of countries.
    one for wars.
    one for politics.
and one for the stuff that has to be cleaned up

This just makes the WM job much, much easier.

Wouldn't it be possible to put, say, the two "International Politics" threads as stickies somewhere?

Uhm what do you speak of?
There is one politics trhead, one thread for world information, one for battles, and one for retired threads.

See, that's the thing that i find interesting.
Every statement that has been made here is from a highly westernized perspective.

    Just some food for discussion.
    Quote from Blinking Spirit »

I cannot tolerate/accept a young woman being forced into complying with her family's wishes against her will. A land of freedom such as this grants the freedom to ditch your cultural heritage should you not want to be part of it.

But how can she be doing it agianst her will if from birth/a young age, it is engrained into her psyche that such an event will happen? At that point, her will has been ground into a fine paste and no longer has any actual leaning one way or another.

In that Instance, would it be concidered wrong to place her into an arranged marriage? Her own sense of will, entitlement, and freedom in regard to that instance has been supplanted by that of her parents wishes. How can it truly be legal to enforce such precautions onto a person who truly has no will of their own, no thoughts of their own in regards to this instance to a situation where they cannot make a choice or even have a position on it due to her upbringing and mental conditioning.

This is where cultural privilage comes into effect. As a member of the majority culture, we believe it is wrong, we believe that such things are barbaric, inhumane and cruel to subject women and people too. Yet... it's been occuring for hundreds/thousands of years, often in our own social groups. Since things changed in our societal groups, we expect other groups to adapt the same changes around us if they expect to be around us, or atleast keep them quiet.

If they don't, it often leads to some form of disgust, alienation in some cases, and a sense of isolation for the people from the culture in question.

As the majority culture, is it right for us to force our ideal's onto others? As it stands, we have freedom of choice, freedom of religion, freedom of politics, and so on and so forth. Yet, the thing that is most dear to many people, their history, their culture is getting crushed below the heels of our... Grand Civilizaiton... and its something we aren't even conciously aware of doing. Is this something that in centuries ahead, people will look back and call us barbarians for adhering to such callous, and unwitting homogenization of the worlds cultures?

I call bs on some of cyans claims, though weather they were done intentionally or not I leave for you to decide. Axel sent me the first message as cyan claims. I chose to leave out, when describing the session earlier, that arimneas told me he was responsible for the talking -and- that he had chosen who to form the temporary masonry with. This leads me to believe that it could happen between any 3 people, as long as he was one of them, including scum. I personally think even worse of cyan now. Vote : cyan. Trying to clear him self as he did, seems very scummy to me.

    Hold on, explain that better.

I'd prefer he sit on it for now to avoid narrowing down the field for Hawkeye. Pretty good idea of who it is, though. Puzzle can name-claim after that to satisfy you all (besides, the possibility exists that I've got the wrong idea here, in which case all bets are off).

EBWODP: You have a good idea who who is?

Yeah, it's a 3 person mafia gambit that has cleared at at least one townie so far. Sounds like a great play on our part. How ridiculous.

Also, if you want to quote Az, he said he was willing to stake his life on Odo being town. Plus, if someone besides fadeblue was Odo, don't you think they'd have counter-claimed him by now? I just think that what you're proposing is flatly impossible.

Agian you are taking things at face value.

Koko was also willing to stake his life that the person who got the RB was town... yet... it was a gambit.

Are you saying that it is not possible for someone to claim to know that Odo is town when they are not? For example, i know of one other role that IS in the game. One name, and they are probable townie. But i could say that they are scum in order to keep them quiet, prevent them from comming forward as scum. Keep them as a random act, forcing them to false claim that would likely result in death.

That is also possible. This is mafia, its rare that info given SO early in the game is not some kind of trick, gambit or ploy. Especially by someone of Azreal's skill.

If they were scum buddies together, then, why would fadeblue go to such lengths to show why Puzzle's ability could be on a scum, when basically everyone thought of Puzzle as confirmed before that, and fadeblue as nearly confirmed?

Truthfully, that's the best reason for BOTH of them to not be scum; But that doesnt mean that ONE of them couldn't be scum.
Also, as I've said, fadeblue was the person that I scanned that was a changling. It's highly unlikely that this game has more than one changling..hell, you'd be hard pressed to actually name 2 changlings from the Star Trek universe that were featured enough to be represented in this game.
I am not saying that he isnt Odo. But odo's allegiance to starfleet and such has always been suspect. In the ending of the series, Odo goes to the homeworld of the changelings and joins the great link. He has always been about law at any cost, rather then Starfleet in particular. And BTW, only two other changelings had names. The one who died to give Odo back his powers after the Great link took it away, and his cousin, one of the fellow 100 changelings that was cast into space and landed on habitable worlds. One that COULD make it into the game would be the female founder from The Dominion Wars. She was a big character for a lengthy time.
Honestly, I think you guys are just bitter that your power roles got outed. And you're right, it sucks, Puzzle took advantage of everyone, but it doesn't automatically make Puzzle scummy, and pulling fadeblue into it seems even more ridiculous.

    Truthfully,
My role being in the open doesnt matter in the slightest really. All it means is that im a Renegade, running at my own pace and not likely to follow anyone in this game as the town's made bad choices so far. It makes me a target for the Mafia, or it could help me live VS the mafia in the hope that i kill someone who ISNT mafia. Me being exposed works. And as for DYH being exposed, i have picked up some useful things that imply that its not quite the bad thing.

Regarding HE7 i have a fairly good hypothesis regarding his extreme wanting to be targetted by Cyans race detection ability. He is pushing for it SO hard.. maybe he has an ability that is triggered upon searching him? And alternate win, or an activated ability, who knows.

And Puzzle, i want a name claim... we know Fadeblue's name claim. And i want to know who precisely could have the ability to exchange the minds of people.

TRUTHFULLY, and i may regret aligning myself with ANYONE, but im forced to agree with DYH...

The people i am most supcious of *of the... Louder people* is Puzzle and Fadeblue. Of the less vocal, im still suspicious of Chamber, Chimpanzee a fair bit, and jobie just a little bit. Quite honestly, my comment was small and innoculous, but you pushed it.

Agian, the situation with Az is too easy to fake, especially with Fadeblue as a scum buddy. So, Fos Puzzle

    @Rahl

Any actual logic or reasoning behind that Vote? It seems pretty random and out of nowhere.

Quite honestly, its something ive had roaming around my mind for a while. I have gotten a quite... bad feeling from Fade since the start. The Lapse posting, the nudging, and the overall BAD feeling i get.

Gut being unacceptable or not, it doesnt matter. It is how i feel about the situation. Something about EVERYTHING going on doesnt feel right; and im going to attempt to dig the entire time.

For some reason, i can't shake the feeling that the town is being lead around by the nose... but not quite by the right people.

And i continue to get an amazingly BAD feeling about Fadeblue... There's something about 'im i simply... don't trust. At the moment, thats why i refuse to put me in the hands of the town, i feel the town is being improperly lead, with some of those who would be the most helpful to the town either dead, or totally and utterly useless this game due to suspicion, horrible play, ect.

    unvote, vote fadeblue
