Stores get 18 boxes just from WPN, ie. directly from Wizards.
I would say less than 10% of stores have a direct sales account from Wizards. Also its from Wizards Direct not from the WPN. WPN only ships promos and other such materials not product. Another thing is its based on previous sales, so unless they are buying a ton of stuff they arent getting 18 boxes direct. We did about 600 boxes of both RTR sets so far and are only getting 36.
Is there any estimate about how many LGSes there are in the world? If we can assume about 60-70 boxes per store, that should get a very rough estimate of Modern Masters print run.
Your assuming numbers are way to high. Of the 6 stores in my 60 mile area the numbers are 10, 12, 12, 18, 24, 36. So thats an average of roughly 19 boxes per store. Even if they get second wave numbers at the same allocation and most wont I think a safe estimate would be closer to 30 per store as many store will not be getting these at all.
Let me see if I can add some light to this. Wizards is making only one print run of this, however they are selling it in 2 waves. So if you guys miss the initial distribution you will have a chance at getting it again within a few weeks. Numbers will probably be less but they will be available a second time around. Also the direct from Wizards sales is not capped at 18 boxes as I know of 2 stores that are getting close to double that from them for first wave. The product will be hot that is a given but shouldn't be that hard to get ahold of at close to MSRP or at MSRP with alittle time and effort.
I'm curious where you got this $100 price from - we are not preselling FTV: Realms at all, nor have we come up with a price for selling it before the contents are spoiled?

I think he just knows that its common sense you are not going to sell them for MSRP, seen as how you never have. Lets face it your in this bussiness to make money. I dont blame you but lets see what you sell these for when they do come out
How many of these are printed? Is it relatively rare? Mythic, you might say...?
They are given out to stores, artists, high end players pretty much anyone wizards thinks deserves one. The always come with a letter when I get mine every year. Just a thank you for selling there stuff and being in good standing. They dont make very many, I would call them mythic + the other ones are around $50 each.
The best card would be "Proposal" though I have been a dealer of magic cards for years and years and have only seen this in person once. I believe only 9 were made and only one was given away to the artist Quinton Hoover the rest to Richard's family. I also think Quintons was eventually stolen from him. Anyways I have attached a link to an image that you could use to make a proxy of it.
Your welcome for the info, glad i could share it with you!
ps - Not a guy.
For those of you that dont know how this works there is no scan or picture of the card it just tells you what the card is.
Im a store owner its in my sanction details.
for non believers , check my track record.
