at that point just jam curio into elves and you dont need to do all that nonsense as it already fits the deck to get infinite draw with visionary

i think you will see a rise in eldrazi tron and people shift back to humans and spirits. Urza is still well positioned and with gy based strats being hindered jund may see a resurgence.

DRS didnt power those deck though it just made them significantly better. The decks running faithless im not so sure can survive without the card or something similar to it.

its funny to hear legacy compared to modern and actually make sense now. The argument was always made but never held merit now it is starting to as you have very clear and defined top decks that have been stream lined to where only a couple tier 2 decks can run the gauntlet.

im a bit surprised no one is including narset in their lists. She combos with tefferis puzzle box pretty nice and digs.

Granted this is only one event but i am on record as stating fair decks get better because of the mulligan rule as they can mull to hate. While i do understand decks like dredge which can mold a better hand may get explosive, mulling to a decent hand with surgical just seems like the play against any grave based deck. Honestly surprised at the number of humans decks but having access to melding mage and thalia to combat phoenix does seem relevant.

"look, I'm about to kill your field and do 20+ damage to you, so do you have an answer to this or can we move to game two?"

i dont know why but this made me laugh more than it should have. On a serious note i think pheonix and faithless looting are really good but not broken. I mean would i really care about pheonix if twin was legal? or KCI? There are many grave yard strats right now, so all that means is pack more hate.

just my opinion but it looks like you are playing a midrange deck without midrange value. you have no taxers and collected company doesnt do much for you because your creatures are just kinda meh. also almost none of your creatures have evasion without the help of rancor. If you want to play naya look into little zoo or big zoo. if you are looking to improve the deck overall i might take a look at G/W hatebears as it plays similarly but with better interactions.

Nothing bores me more or feels more tedious than playing spells on my own turn, and it's sad to me that the best "Steam Vents" decks play almost exclusively on their own turn. It's definitely nice to have powerful steam vents deck again, and I definitely play both of them, but it would be nice to actually have like a Delver/Snap/Bolt/Remand deck again; at least while Exarch and Pestermite aren't being cast.

doesnt grixis delver and grixis DS both fit this description? granted delver isnt high on the tier list but DS certainly is.

i think our definition on narrow are different. i wouldn't consider stony or RIP narrow as they hose over half the meta. It's intended use may be narrow but its application is anything but. Cards like stony and RIP dont just stop one thing they stop many things. RIP makes delve, spell recursion, creature recursion, death tiggers, and completely invalidates some decks till its gone. Stony does similar things as it just shuts off some cantrips, mana rocks, clues, Affinity, KCI, and also invalidates some decks like lantern. Cards like negate and remove soul, while being able to hit more decks is a single time answer that i dont necessarily know i would bring in if i have a catch all like the enchantments. This is where our definitions vary as i consider it narrow because it may only stop one thing. Granted sometimes that 1 thing can win the game. I did like how someone explained that it may also compliment other spells that do similar things but may need a different card for extraction effect defense.

im not a fan of this at all. For GY, Burn, and affinity how do you not just get the feels bad scenerio games 2-3? i just mull to my leyline or stoney and call it a day. Burn i think faces the most backlash from this as i already aggressively mulled to get life or leyline. now i dont know what they do. GY decks might have to start splashing green so they can deal with increased consistency of getting hated on. Overall though decks like Tron and eldrazi get better, pheonix stays the same, Combo gets better game 1's but worse game 2-3.

i like rythm as a 2 of. My current thought it is a good sideboard but it could possibly be main deckable because of the riot aspect. ive won a couple of games by throwing counters on krasis and co.

    Noct nice results

Can you share a bit more about the deck. How does it work?

    1. How many turns on avergae it take to grind?
    2. What is a good opening hand. Of they destroy the grind station how bad is that?
    3. How does the semblance anvil go. Is it when you have the scrap trawler out to play more - what ? What card do you Target? Ichor wellspring ? I can see it grinding 3-4 times by grinding the anvil at the end ?

    4. Any other insights ?

the deck works by grinding yourself to get 2 myr retrievers, once that is accomplished you can preform an infinite grind because they cost nothing due to anvil. This version isnt as heavily reliant on scrap trawler but more so on the retrievers and sai. the only way i can see to do the pyrite loop would require trawler, mox, anvil, station, and 2 retrievers. The only time i would do this though as you already have a win is if they have an emrakul or automatic shuffle effect. It more fragile then actual kci but the power level is still fine.

it can be very relevant and a lot of times you see this done if the card has a narrow use. cards like negate, celestial purge, or creatures with a very specific use tend to occupy this type of slot.
