    Taylor, isn't it? Wink

Still though, it's something not many people would think to do.

    Correct!

I have no issue with neo-youtube, but then again, I have few issues with youtube in general. I simply don't care enough to gripe about it. No matter how tedious I find scrolling down to see if someone updated or that exceedingly annoying "Recommended Videos" section that never, EVER, interests me. -_-" Nevermind, I hate neo-youtube.

I'm ok with color bleeding, but I don't like Phyrexia getting white. Its the same as if the Boros legion started having blue cards; its just not natural.

Seems natural to me. White is the color of clergy and military, for sure, but there's that dark side. You know, the religious zealotism and persecution? That fits right in with Phyrexia's whole "convert everything that isn't Phyrexian and make it Phyrexian. Or kill it." ideology. Or am I just missing something?

Exactly. Had to explain to a few people that its like playing a dude turn 1. Also here's where I point out my Legacy ignorance, but are Inkmoth and Blinkmoth worthy of play together since Blink' can give an animated Ink' +1/+1? Or is that just janktastic?

    1. (And this is a minor nitpick of mine) Please, PLEASE use card tags. I like linkies.

    2. I love that synergy so much it hurts. I need to build a Blinkmoth Deck ASAP now. Thanks for that.

I actually... I don't know, I love the new Tezz, but I was kinda of hoping for something, super exciting that they could blow me away with. It's fine though. So many great EDH cards here though.

I loooooooove the new Tezz. To me it just screams UB Artifact Combo. Get Tezz to four with Prolif, blast 'em for insane damage with Tezz, swing for that last bit. Seems good to me....

Okay, so apparently a 11/11 Indestructible & Trample creature with Infect is possible now lol. My Arcum EDH can't wait!

    Quote from Surging Chaos

As for the spoilers so far, I'm pretty disappointed that Wizards thought it needed to make a card like Blightsteel Colossus to keep making even more powerful creatures. Don't be surprised if people just call this thing the Bull☺☺☺☺ Colossus lol.

    Quote from V.M.Santore

Personally, i hate the blightsteel. I'm actually not like most of the new set, or the entire block for that matter. This may be due in part because I'm very flavor oriented, but I don't really like how there is red and white phyrexian cards. The card I really like however, its the sphinx that lets you draw 2 whenever an opponent does. I feel like every blue EDH commander deck will run it; its going to be that good in commander in my opinion.

    Quote from Artifice 101
The orb's say there won't be any more in this set, but I expect more in the next. Also, Inkmoth Nexus? Really?? Geez.

    Quote from AsianInvasion

I imagine the color bleeding will be better explained as the set is released.
I agree that Consecrated Sphinx is pretty ridiculous. The rares in recent sets have been really bomby by and large.

That card is pretty sick too. I expect it will be very popular both in Infect aggro/midrange decks and Shape Anew decks to cheat out Blightsteel Colossus.

@Blightsteel Colossus: I'm somewhat disappointed in it. So....boring. It's just DSC....+Infect. He's not new, and I hate that. I'd call him Bull☺☺☺☺ colossus, but he's not BAD. He's just....boring. Meh.

@Consecrated Sphinx: HOOOOOOOOOLY ☺☺☺☺. I love this guy. Pity he's gonna shoot up in price forever. What. A. *****.

@Inkmoth Nexus: Aside from the abysmal pun, I like this card. Makes Vector Asp look pretty meh. I like my Plague Stingers for 2 that dodge sweepers.

Love the repo deck. Good combos are good combos. Grin

One question, with only running basics, have you had any issues hitting early colors?

It's working pretty well so far, actually. I only need to hit a forest and some other land in order to continue avoid color screw. At 24 lands, I have a pretty good chance of seeing three within my first three turns, and I'll usually have a STE, Cultivate, or Ondu Giant by the time I can cast them. Getting to seven land (two black, two white, and three green) is relatively easy for this deck. I can usually resolve a Repo with a good number of lands and go off by turn six or seven. The main issue I'm having is getting rid of the Explores I'm currently running in place of Eternal Witness. They slow the deck down and don't do much else other than accelerate, which the deck does in spades anyway.

In other news, got to play this deck in Two-Headed Giant the other day, against two control decks. I resolved a Repo and went off, killing them both with Gravestorm count to spare. It was pretty awesome, and their puny Mana Leak didn't amount to much when I had like fourteen land on board. Kekeke

I must say I like me a good combo deck, and that seems to be a fun one. I probably won't be going to a GP or anything this year Frown

    Quote from V.M.Santore
I really like it, the combos are awesome. I would maybe add some harrows, which will greatly help with your mana fixing.

Kekeke It is a really strong deck, even without the Harrows. I would run them.....actually, they might be better than Cultivate while I'm going off. I'll have to do some testing. Good call, VM.

OMFG I'm back! It's been a while, guys, but I've been quite busy with college stuff and working at my LGS :D. I've been tinkering around with a few decks, a Mono-B Control monstrosity for Standard, a Mono-B EDH deck using Maga, the Traitor, and the deck I'm currently going all-in with: Repo Man v2. The original deck concept came from an article I found here. My current deck list is as follows:

Tell me what you think, and give me some input :3. How are you guys, by the way?

Just an update on the Repo deck. I'm changing it pretty quickly, and I have high hopes for it to be an incredibly potent deck.

This is the decklist I'm currently using. You'll notice it's not as awesome as the above. This is because I can't currently afford all the Simulacrums and the other two Eternal Witnesses.
    Repo RatMagic OnlineOCTGN2ApprenticeBuy These Cards
    Creatures 12
    4 Ondu Giant
    4 Sakura-Tribe Elder
    2 Azusa, Lost but Seeking
    2 Eternal Witness

    Spells 18
    4 Reprocess
4 Second Sunrise (I only have two, I'm proxying the other two because my LGS doesn't have any and nobody ever seems to have this card at the store. If any of you have it, I'll definitely trade for it.)
    2 Overgrown Estate
    1 Bitter Ordeal
    3 Cultivate
    4 Summer Bloom
    3 Feldon's Cane
    3 Explore

    Lands - 24
    8 Swamps
    9 Forest
    7 Plains

After some testing, I found Feldon's Cane is far superior to Elixer of Immortality in practice. That lower mana cost means I go off much more efficiently. I also found that the deck is somewhat slow without a god-hand, so if you guys could give me some tips on accelerating the deck and making it more stable, I'd appreciate it. I also need two more Second Sunrises. If any of you guys have some, please let me know because I'm very willing to trade for it.

My LGS was fortunate enough to be featured on WotC's site, here's a link to the article. The store is Pat's Games in Austin, TX.

I'm spoiled rotten because of them. They keep great prices, account for tax in their prices so you never need non-quarter coins, and have a somewhat diverse meta as far as casual is concerned. Unfortunately, they are somewhat competitive compared to the other store in my city, but I don't go there because their prices are higher and they don't sell singles.

Arew was totally (accidentally, he tells me) lying about our math program. He's some sort of IT major and has only taken one class. I'm an astrophysics major and...yeah, I reallly dislike our department. I've only taken the calculus series and differential equations, but for the most part my teachers weren't all that great. Great shop, though, he's right about that part.

Oh. Well, I'm interested in probability and statistics, so it may not be as bad for me as it was for you. Out of curiosity though, what do you mean by 'teachers weren't all that great'?

Ahoy everyone! I'm thinking of getting a new Sig&Avvy. Whenever you have time, of course.

    Here's what I'm thinking:
Precursor Golem replacing the man on the right in Distortion Strike's art, with vines of vastwood and withstand death surrounding. Text at the bottom: "Take 24"

For the avvy, precursor golem with the sun glowing would be pretty sick.

I go to Ohio University in Athens. I think our Math program is pretty good, I have no idea. The campus is beautiful enough to convince anyone to come here though. Our shop is very EDH oriented, and our FNM's rotate between Draft and Standard every week. We're starting to hold EDH tournaments too, starting this week, I'll probably let everyone know how that goes, and we're trying to get Legacy going too.

Cool! I'm still de-proxying my Cpt. Sisay EDH deck, but there isn't much of a presence of EDH at my main LGS, so I don't really use it any. The rotation between draft and standard is actually sort of disappointing, as I don't have much of a budget for building competitive standard decks. How's the competition over there? At my LGS, it's pretty cutthroat, so I don't partake in Standard much.

I'm not sure how good you're looking for, but I go to the University of Texas at Dallas. I've got several friends majoring in Math, and the program here isn't bad by any means. It's also really cheap, and they throw scholarship money at people. We have a pretty good MtG scene as well.

Thanks for the suggestion! If I end up going there, I'll be sure to try and look you up. It's still early, so if I end up coming over there, you'll be one of the first to know.
