Caranthir posted a message on Uncharted Realms DiscussionsPosted in: Magic StorylineQuote from TerrorKingA »Quote from Flisch »At this point all we do is read some words, which might or might not change in the future into other words. Whenever you read a story now there's always the question for how long the information in that story will remain canon.
And that's about as toxic as it can get for storytelling.
This man gets it.
And as I've said multiple times, the "trust in the creative team" argument falls flat the moment you realize they had to retcon something THEY themselves posted 6 months prior to a story. That shows either complete incompetence or a woeful lack of care being put into the story. Meanwhile, Design is planning out sets 7 years ahead. 84 months vs 6 months. Maybe MaRo should take over as creative lead instead of Doug Beyer.

Sancta simplicitas....
At least give the new and reformed Story team some time before you start flinging crap on them again. Do you even realize that there was a time after Brady Dommermuth left when the Creative was virtually unmanaged and loose? And that this critical time fell (surprise) in planning and executing the Tarkir block?
It is apparent that the whole team went through overhaul in last year and things were settling down. The victim of that was story of the Tarkir block and some confusion in the time period, resulting among other things in that unfortunate retcon of single word in Nahiri's story that every single of you bashers is going foaming mouth crazy and cannot stop prattling about. Published in the autumn, when apparently the team was still in turmoil.
Even a blind one with half a brain can see that, especially with the last articles showing improving quality. The fact that some just choose not to is another case.
Seruiously, when has this forum, once a place of great discussions, become so full of pompous, self-righteous, know-it-all pseudo-critic types that love to bathe in their eloquency and illusions of self-importance? I am getting tired of that. -

Xlapus posted a message on Improperly Determining a WinnerImproperly Determing a Winner is: Determining a winner using any method other than A) playing a match of magic of the format your tournament is being held in, B) one person conceding to the other, or C) choosing to intentionally draw.Posted in: Magic Rulings Archives
Improper methods include:
Playing a match of Commander to determine the outcome of your Standard match.
After you've taken your 5 extra turns and no one has won, deciding each player will flip the top few cards of their library and whoever would have the better draws gets the win.
Running a foot race around the venue.
Flipping a coin.
Holding an impromptu beauty contest.
etc.

Blinking Spirit posted a message on The Deal with Fluoride?Posted in: Talk and EntertainmentQuote from MTGOJarkeld »I used to deliver chemicals to water plants and it was always real strange because the fluoride was real bad stuff. Warnings from the water plant guys, my coworkers, the manufacturer about not inhaling/ingesting the stuff because of how toxic it is.
Without trace amounts of sodium in our system, our nervous systems would shut down and we would die.
Pure sodium behaves like this.
Any questions. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

You sure about that?
That states that he had a very recent and potentially continuing interest in one of the companies that has directly benefited from the pipeline being approved. And that the chairman of that company donated a significant sum of money to Trumps Presidential campaign. Whilst Reuters are hedging their bets and not directly saying that Trump still has an interest in ETP, probably because they don't have absolute proof. The fact that so soon into his presidency he could be seen to be blatantly rewarding one of his supporters is worrying especially if the White house is going to be applying pressure to the relevant departments to expedite the approval process with out giving enough time for discovery.

So you are currently trying to deny that CNN, The Guardian, numerous other news outlets and Senator Mccain were all handed a doissier that contained a number of very explosive allegations concerning Donald Trump and his possible links to Russian attempts to subvert the recent Electoral Process.
If you are doing the above in attempting to claim the CNN story is in the same class as the recent story Democrat run Kiddy fiddly ring being run out a D.C Pizzeria then Tiax is quite correct you are not using the same definintion as the rest of the world. Hint yours is the wrong one.
The 'dodgy dossier' exists and is currently with amoungst other people the relevant sections of the FBI. This is news and once they felt that there was enough basis to warn both the President Elect and the Outgoing President there is a legitimate reason to atleast report on its existence and once Buzzfeed had published the dossier in full there was also a legitmate reason for other new outlets to report and comment on that fact.
If you were actually interested in the story and not engaged in some blinkered attempt to discredit it at all costs you would have noticed that the 'liberal press' have not exactly rallied round to defend Buzzfeed for publishing the full doisser. Rather they have called it foolish.
Largely because people are getting hung up on the details and at least publically not asking other important question related to it like if it was handed over to the FBI how much did Director Comey know about it and if he did know of its existance what colored his disicion not to announce its existance and an investigation into it to the world like he did that botched final investigation into Hillary's email servers thats only result was to foolishly project his organisation into the political arena at a very sensitive time when it should have remained politically neutral.

Don't know don't care. The question wasn't about anything being discredited. Are you going to stop spamming this forum and actually answer it which was: Is Wikileaks the only organisation that is giving Wikileaks a 100% truthfulness rating or is there a third party that is doing the same thing?
Its a fairly simple question and only needs a yes or a no as an answer.

Way to not answer the question. Which I will put in simple terms. Is Wikileaks the only organisation that is giving Wikileaks a 100% truthfulness rating or is there a third party that is doing the same thing?

I would love to know what metrics you were using when you worked out that Mao's China and Hilter's Germany cared about their populations.
And also how you are able to conclusively blame the collapse of Nazi Germany to that aforementioned caring about the German Population.

In your original post it appears that the opposing player has just chosen to reveal his Force of will and then put it back in his hand as he has not mentioned any targets or made any attempt to pay the costs of the spell. Note unlike in chess there is no obligation to continue with an action once you have started it, for example if you realise that it is not in your best interests to play that spell or the action is illegal.
For the second part of your question yes how your opponent has been playing during your match will be part of what the judge will be asking both players about when he investigates the situation.

I take issue with only one word "now". It always has been and unless it has a radical restructuring it always will be a badly disguised propaganda rag designed to inflame a certain viewpoint. Back in the Thirtys they were unapologetic supporters of the Nazi's both in Germany and at home in Mosley's blackshirts. Not much has changed now with them hanging on the coat tails of both the Chinese and the Russians. They have earned there nickname of the Daily Fail several times over!

Why apply pressure to the dissenter? You control the law enforcement between the rest of you. Surely it is far simpler to just shoot the dissenter and bury him in an unmarked grave?
