My opponent controls Jace, the Mind Sculptor and has been using the +2 ability to put cards on the bottom of my library for the past 3 turns. This turn he kept the card on top of my library, so at the end of his turn I sacrificed a Scalding Tarn. While searching for a land, I look at the top card of my library and the bottom 3 cards of my library to see what my opponent is trying to not let me have.
Is this allowed by the rules? I realize there's really no way to tell that that's why I sacrificed the Scalding Tarn, but if I see 3 lands at the bottom of my library, and say something like, "So you're trying to keep me off mana?" Could my opponent call a judge for some reason?
It would enter the battlefield as a 0/0 creature with 0 +1/+1 counters on it, and then go to the graveyard when SBAs are checked. You wouldn't have a chance to pay the kicker cost since you aren't actually casting the copy.
Outside effects such as Enchantments, counters, or equipment aren't copied. Things that are copied include the creature's mana cost, type, name, power/toughness, color, and abilities.
I'm a bit confused. I thought the rules said you cannot pay life if it would bring your life total 0 or below. For instance, you can't activate Polluted Delta's ability at 1 life, right? Why is Channel different?
I'm currently debating what's the best option for the sideboard, a fourth Lim-Dul's Vault or a 3rd Emrakul. They both accomplish the same task, but the LDV gives you more chance to find Progenitus or Blazing Archon if you need them where the 3rd Emrakul let's you combo faster on average.
So I'm looking to get into EDH/Commander, and am thinking of using Lord of Tresserhorn as my General. I wasn't quite too sure where to post the deck because it'll be used for both multiplayer and 1vs1.
So I use the walls to stay on the defensive for the first few turns to make it so my opponent(s) won't want to attack me. Then I start pooping out tokens to feed LoT, and then start swinging with an unblockable 10-power general.
I've never built an EDH deck before, or even played a game, so I would really appreciate any help I can get.
I cast Rite of Replication with kicker on my general, Lord of Tresserhorn. Next turn, I attack and 3 of the copies deal damage to my opponent, who was at 40. Does this count as my 21+ worth of General damage, or is it just 30 regular combat damage.
