As mentioned above, I was expecting from the mechanics black and green guild more elegant and not blunt inflation counters. that's what I mean by a crisis of ideas.
Elegance from black and green? I believe it has been said before by others but +1/+1 counters are very black/green. Golgari grow vertically. I admit when I saw the mechanic I was disappointed, but the more you think about it the more it grows on you.
It seems like a great card,a 5/5 for 4 is pretty good, and the fact that it has a extra ability when it gets milled or discarded or hits the yard in any way shape or form is pretty cool even though it costs 6 to do.
Agreed and the mechanic will be even better if they make cards like Necroplasm or Golgari Grave Troll to take advantage of those +1/+1 counters. The mechanic is flavorful and a great representation of the Golgari lifestyle. I for one am excited for it.
If it had first strike, death touch, and hexproof at a bare minimum I would see it maybe being a medium level rare, but yeah, It's not even a solid uncommon as is. /:
Really? 4 mana 5/5 with hexproof, deathtouch, first strike, and relevant after death ability is a medium rare in your books? Baneslayer must have looked bad too.
Deadbridge Goliath 2GG
Scavenge 4GG (exile this card from your graveyard to put x plus 1 plus 1 counters on target freature where x is this creatures power. Use this ability only as a sorcery)
5/5
I believe he only gets +5/+5 not +6/+6, but the poster did say he paraphrased the ability.
Thanks for putting up the picture much more believable now, although the picture is fuzzy. Honestly I can only make out 5/5 for 2gg and an ability as well as the golgari symbol.
Wait...wait...wait, I think everyone's missing the fact that it is a 4 mana 5/5. No but seriously seems good, relevant after death, card advantage, etc. However I'll stay skeptical until I see a picture.

is the word that binds
me here
that instills me with fear
that fills me with regret
now I cannot forget
misery
is my ecstacy
for the sins of those with no heart
for the sins of those falling apart
I now see the start of a new world beginning to unfurl
before my eyes
I realize I despise
this brand new world
my fists begin to curl
but I face my fears
eyes welling with tears
I can hear my own fear
I can smell my own hell
I can taste my own waste
I can feel the scars beginning to heal
I can see what it is to be

I'm calling it now. Duel Deck: Ajani Vengeant vs Nicol Bolas. Ajani's deck would be RGW (with Wild Nactal to explain the second new art) and of course Bolas would be Grixis.
Just my guess.
So agree with this and would totally buy this. although it does look more like Goldmane however.
To everyone saying Rafiq is the mythic knight, I have two reasons why he shouldn't be.
1 Three Colours I am pretty sure they want a straight up mono color vs mono color.
2 Exalted is hardly usable in a Knight deck I mean honestly how many exalted Knights are there. Four. I think it is more likely to be similar to a White weenie archetype.
3 Knights are stupid Dragons FTW!!!!!
Sorry about that, I haven't really been on these forums much, so I still don't really know how to navigate em. I was looking over some cards, and I figured I could maybe try something like this-
I can use the Proclamation to bring back my Martyrs, or other little guys in case they get killed off. Hell, they work really well with the Soul Sisters, too. I'm hesitant to add the Serra Ascendent, purely from a $$$ standpoint. What's an ideal number of copies of a given planeswalker in a deck? I think 4 might be too many, but 2 seems a little low. I'm not really sure.
I prefer around 2-3 I run 2 in my Ajani Lifegain deck. The others you can trade off for ascendants maybe.
Tezzeret is a planeswalker who wields blue magic. His specialty is artifice: spells that forge artifacts, manipulate artifacts, and even bring artifacts to life. So I guess something that creates artifacts, manipulates arifacts (Proliferate/Voltaic Key) and brings artifacts to life (Tezzeret and Artifact Lands). I guess having a bunch of artifacts that go well with proliferate is also good.
Yes! they should totally reprint Vigor Mortis mostly because I never had a chance to play with it or the other golgari...

I'll call you on that bet, and when you lose you have to eat a forest.
