Making a rogue deck and having the contents "discovered" and now I'm a netdecker.
Spending weeks and weeks developing a deck against a gauntlet of other decks with some meta in mind only to match up with the 1 rogue player at the whole event who narrowly defeats you (placing you in loser bracket after round 1) only to spend the next 9 rounds playing kids who bought a precon, added this really cool Wurm, and although you get several wins that day you can't really earn many points against players with no ratings and the prizes are weak.
Well, do you already have a deck you like to play?
I have a collection already and so I might spend a day or two constructing several decks back-to-back sometimes without actually testing any of them for ages while they collect dust. This is fun for me. Also, I find myself obsessed with one deck (right now its my MTGO commander) that I love to play (so I play it hundreds of times in a row) and make minute changes 1:1 for days.
Either way, one will lead to the other. In time. Try not wasting money opening packs in the meantime unless you get play out of your packs (draft them, mini master, etc) This develops your play, which influences your deck building, which drives the collector to seek out new plays.
Buying all the best land sooner rather than later will let you play the most decks, over the most colors, through out the most formats.
Putting all of your cards in the same color sleeves lets you move those 4 Cabal Coffers out of your Legacy deck and into your Emperor deck faster. This will take some of the pressure of needing to own a lot of cards and remind you to do your best with what you have. As your collection gets larger you'll invariably develop more decks. In that time you'll draft, or you'll buy packs, trade and sell off some of your collection as rotations occur.
I wouldn't mind getting to assemble some contraptions.
I'd like to see old planeswalkers even if they died during invasion now that they make planeswalker cards. A bunch of characters got hosed.
Did anyone read that novel where Yawgmoth was just a doctor before he stabbed a planeswalker in the head with a scalpel to study its brain then he found that planet he turned into Phyrexia? There was a lot of that then.
More than Jace, Jace 2.0, Jace 3.0, etc. Its a multiverse.
I don't need 12 Chandra. I want Freyalise, or Slobad didn't he ascend?
What happened to Braids? Last I saw her she was riding away on one of Phage's deathwurms in that Ixidor storyline. I wish for a loose end tying block.
I want all the wordings updated. We need to reprint all kinds of stuff with updated wordings.
No more reserved list block would be good.
A number of opponents count theme. Since sanctioned 2hg and the commander push i'd like to see more "then do this again for each other opponent" type effects.
Mirri has impressive stats compared to her other card. The elf thing might get played (just not in constructed). Actually, Mirri probably won't get played either. Neither are too good. I'm a big nerd and really like the characters themselves though...
If you want to make it a combo, you would have to have the followed footsteps in play on some other creature, play the sky swallower and then Enchantment Alteration(or some extended legal varient) to move the footsteps so they they control the footsteps and it would work.
What? He casts sky swallower... That gives everything to his opponent. With 3UU floating he casts footsteps. During his upkeep he makes another skyswallower and gives ALL of his permanents to his opponent. Thus, HIS OPPONENT controls the sky swallower, his lands, and the footsteps. During his opponents next upkeep themoultonman gains control of everything meaning his skyswallower, his lands, his footsteps, and anything that they owned.
At that point all he would have to do is disenchant the footsteps leaving behind a themoultonman rich in natural resources and an opponent who isn't.
It may not be very practicle but it's not a nonbo...
No, this means that after Roland Chang acquired the cards he approached an artist to draw on his card.
He got them in a pack or whatever, found whoever drew them, and asked that guy to draw on them.
Most artists sign cards via mail if you contact them (by email) and ask them first. Some of the more popular artists charge a fee because they get so many requests.
I think, in regards to costing, they should be the same as the originals, if not maybe a bit less, like for New Zombify :1mana::symb::symb:. The additional cost of having to discard outweighs the benefits of getting a free one if you had 2 in your hand.
Does it outweigh it enough to warrant making it cost 2B instead of 1BB? I meanzombify is 3B and the only ones off the top of my head that requires double B is Dread Return, Beacon of Unearth, and Vigor Mortis .
Only to shuffle. Like the turn after a less good brainstorm.

Theft.

Just rambling.

Sarnath'd!
A panda, a penguin, or an English Angora.
I share qualities with each of these animals.
However, they probably wouldn't print the first example because it's too similar to Tainted Peak, etc
