Edit: Not sure why the card tags aren't working... sorry!
You need to add a number in front of each card name in your deck list.
As for you list, I am working on an Animar deck myself. I can't seem to lockdown my direction. One interaction I think I like that you might consider is draw effects with Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar. things such as Sylvan Library or Myojin of Seeing Winds. Let's you sort through your deck looking for what you want.
Also, it doesn't seem like you have much draw, are you finding that you are running out gas fast? I know my current build has a bit of draw and I sometimes find I quickly run out of gas and go to top deck mode if I can't find a draw spell/ability.
I would suggest looking through the decklists and seeing what you want of singles and price out what that would cost to buy. And then compare that to with what you have found to buy the decks.
I personally think they are worth it especially for those that don't have large pool of cards to work with. It gives you a nice start. Also, if there are any cards you don't play to play that might be worth something, you either can sell them or have trade bait.
I haven't read through every single post in this thread but I am kind of surprised I have not noticed any mention of Concordant Crossroads. This with an ability to make your infinite tokens, then drop Concordant Crossroads and swing for the win.
Here is my current list that I have been working with. I am working on trying to fit in Corpse Dance and possibly swap Genesis for Oversold Cemetery but just not sure.
The Kitchen Finks is sent to my graveyard. The Kitchen Finks Persists to come back to the battlefield. This is where my question comes. Does the Kitchen Finks survive returning to the battlefield or does it receive the doubled -1/-1 counters and die before the Juniper Order Ranger is able to place it's doubled +1/+1 counters?
I'm not sure how long the games took, but isn't that the challenge? Not over extending on one person because you could leave them strong enough to keep you from beating them, but then die to someone else, and all your work was for nothing.
I guess it depends on your LGS and/or playgroup. The shop where I play, someone that comes in with a more cutthroat deck will soon find that games are "full" or others don't feel starting a game with them.
I guess the other things depends on if there is any prize support for this or is it just for fun/bragging rights. I would again suspect there is prize support so anything goes.
I suspect there could be a downside with this too in that you are going to see some of the more "for fun" type players stop showing up to play in these events. I think the obvious key on this would be finding a balance of getting kill points but discouraging things like turn 4 kills.
Anytime with in the match a player personally kills another, (via any of the ways you can cause a player to lose the game) they get 1 KB point, or Killing Blow Point.
This seems to me that it would breed a very cutthroat environment. Lots of fast kills and games that aren't going last very long.
At the end of the match, there are sportsman points awarded. Each player votes for someone (other than themselves) on who they feel captured the spirit of magic the gathering, played the funnest deck, wasn't rude, really anything. You don't actually need a reason. It is each player's choice at that point. Who ever ends up with the most sportsman points that round, gets 1 KB.
This I believe could be open to a popularity contest and not really judge of how someone played. I think is where other point systems that I have looked into involve a more definitive point system based on actions and not based on personal opinion.
Otherwise, sounds like a good start, just will need some work to get to good system in place.
The box/extra lands/life counter/deck boxes make up about $6 of it. I could use somewhere to store some cards, the life counter would be helpful (I wouldn't have to use a note pad anymore!).
Typically shops or other player have lands that you can have if you really need the lands. As for a box, you can buy those white cardboard boxes for like a dollar or less and some dice for usually like $0.25 each. Then the rest can go towards more packs or maybe singles you are looking for.
On occasion I think about taking my token deck to the dark side with Ghave, guru of spores and those nice black cards like necrogenesis, and grave pacts and similar type effects.... but then I remember how hard it is for me to make cuts in this deck and adding another color would only further exacerbate the problem
I have been considering the same and seem to have the same issue. I still may just sit down sometime and layout the deck and see what kind of swaps I can make to add in black.
It has several great resources on what is EDH/Commander and useful links on how to get started and once started tips on building decks. I have been playing EDH/Commander for a couple years now and I still use several of the resources listed in this post often. It has great information.
To piggyback on this thread regarding bounce lands, let's say I successfully resolve a Primeval Titan and search up a Selesnya Sanctuary and a Gaea's Cradle and put them on to the battlefield. Can I bounce the Gaea's Cradle to my hand or do I have to pick a land that was already on the battlefield to satisfy the Selesnya Sanctuary ETB trigger?

I just want to make sure that I am able to do this. On the board I have the following:
Sheoldred, Whispering One
Eldrazi Monument
Ghave, Guru of Spores
It's the start of my upkeep. Would I be able stack my upkeep triggers so that I sacrifice my Ghave, Guru of Spores to the Eldrazi Monument trigger and then return Ghave, Guru of Spores with the Sheoldred, Whispering One trigger?
Actually if you look close at the Ajani deck box top you can see green listed so it will be a tri-color deck as well W/R/G.
I hope there is some good lands as well but I am not holding my breath.
Juniper Order Ranger
Doubling Season
On the battlefield I have a Kitchen Finks with no -1/-1 counters, a Juniper Order Ranger and a Doubling Season.

Fat Packs just don't seem worth it IMO.

You are missing a whole section of Scarecrows... Changelings! And then to double your Vindicate on a Stick effect there is Sakashima the Impostor.
