Edit: In other news, I have decided to drop my philosophy course (thank god) and pursue a career as a Veterinary technician. Finally, I have a goal. I've been struggling for years to figure out where I'm going and with a time limited post-secondary fund hanging over my head, I've been stressing without a clue what to do. Anyways, I will only need 2 more courses (math and chemistry, which should be easy), so I will be applying to start next fall. It's only a 2 year college program, so less school. Hey everyone! I'm back from Toronto. Went to the coolest wedding at the Science Center. Stayed with my grandparents over the weekend and went to the Canadian Aviation Museum in Trenton. They finished rebuilding the Halifax (a bomber plane) to museum quality. It's the only one in such condition left, so very neat. My grandfather was a pilot in the airforce so I grew up with such stories and seeing planes. I've even been in a Herc on our military's flightline.

@Daron: I never said I don't care about Magic, I simply don't play now. I dislike online playing and I don't have anyone here really to play with. Also, right now there are other things I would like to spend my money on. If I see someone's decklist or something and I feel I can intelligently compliment/criticize/critique it, I will. However, I barely know the older cards and because of my fairly recent drop of magic don't know Guildpact or Dissension very well. Though even before this, I have rarely discussed Magic in this thread. As for being depressed recently, in the way that it links to my posting, I will apologize for that. Though notice that I will not sit here and whine about how I'm feeling. Anyways, I have now even spoken to my mother about how I feel and we've organized some things like routines and objectives so that I'll stop feeling like I'm drifting. Also decided on some herbal remedies to my mood and lack of ability to concentrate. If these don't work, then I might consider therapy. Just thought I'd let you know this isn't going to continue to be an issue for me, so I will continue to be around, posting. Your next point against me I think needs some explaining. Since when am I not a team player? If you mean my lack of recent posting, then this is not a separate point from my being depressed. If you mean my recent participation in clan contests, that also correlates. AND except for the last contest (not the one EVERYONE missed), when have I not participated? I have always tried to input on clan contests. However, the 2 contests that we didn't just have someone (usually Alex) 'shop something together were card-building, which isn't really a skill of mine. Though I did come up with one of our cards, when we needed those 6. I also now have photoshop (acquired from a friend, yay!) and perhaps can help in those types of contests too hopefully. And you last point is rather repetitive of ALL above points. So basically, your argument comes down to I haven't posted recently, because my not caring about Magic has never before disrupted my posting here, especially as I rarely posted about it even when I played; my lack of contest participation which has ONLY to do with my absence; and my depression hasn't affected what I post here at all, until this and even then I don't think I'm whining or bringing everyone down with it.
Now I am here, and posting. Even with explanations of how things have been, are, and will be. I refuse to "retire" right now, as I am here and plan to continue to be for quite awhile longer (if not for as long as this clan is around). If I find things here changing so that I no longer feel welcomed at all, or I find myself being more of a bother than a friend to the called, then I will reconsider. Until then, I'm here to stay.

@Chris: I think displaying self-confidence would definitely have a huge impact on your chances with this girl. As long as you're not pushy (which I know you aren't), then remain supportive while keeping the relationship "idea" in the air. Also, it would be a good idea to take her on a date without anyone else around at some point so you can just enjoy each other's company and talk more privately.

Nick, I really have to disagree. I came to this clan to be a part of a group. It had nothing to do with MiKe. I've enjoyed talking with members (in and out of the clan thread). You equate my not talking with my relationship with Dan but it started long before that. I've been slowly becoming less motivated to get online (or do anything for that matter) for awhile, almost since returning from Calgary. I tried very hard for awhile to keep posting and want to remain with my clan. I failed recently with much in life catching up with me and many friends here having issues to deal with.
I've noticed my abnormal number of excuses and apologize for that. However, you can see my last post was simply an explanation of how I've been and a response to the threat of being lynched.
Alright, here is my ONE post on my emotional well-being at the moment (other than possibly replies). Well actually atm, I feel pretty good. However, all in all recently, I've been a mess. Barely been able to drag myself out of bed in the morning to do the couple chores my mom leaves for me. Sulking over my course because I can't concentrate and haven't been able to keep 2 connected thoughts in my head at the same time. I've been feeling hopeless about the rest of my life and my ability to actually finish this course, go to university or do anything. Also haven't had the energy or drive to do anything about it. Other than select individuals (Candace, Mike, few other friends) asking me to meet them somewhere at a specific time I've been lying around moping and reading. I have been seeing Dan quite often and he's been helping me deal with all this.
Anyways, I had already posted this before (though much longer) but I don't see it above and my explorer there crashed right after so I'm assuming that screwed it up.
So, for the next couple of days I don't know how much I'll be able to post as I am trying to set up a bit of a routine and deal with a number of issues atm. I'm also leaving this weekend for a trip to Toronto (wedding and wonderland).
Chris, glad to hear you're figuring things out and I hope your friend convinces you to get with your new co-worker.

I am alive and actually here. Been crazy busy redoing my bedroom and my sister had ALL her summative assignments due this week, which of course meant no comp time for me. I've also been doing my correspondence course, while applying to work full-time at other places. Luckily, most of my room is finished and Katie's summatives are finished. I will try much harder to be around.
Vegetarians are fine, it's staying with them that causes problems. I'm just referring to a week I spent at my friend's cottage with her vegetarian family. I came home and begged my mom for steak and/or hamburgers. She's my best friend though so I'm willing to make sacrifices, sometimes...

Hopefully if/when this meet happens someone will get pics.
Daggs, sitting in front of your computer writing and deleting paragraphs isn't going to help you. Maybe you should flip through stuff online about ants, not even very seriously just type "ants + _____" into google and hope for inspiration. Or you could go for a walk and just keep the topic at the edge of your mind. Anything but sitting there focusing on something you can't seem to write at the moment. However, completely distracting yourself (*cough* webcomics *cough*) is not helping. Good luck!

I'M HERE!!! Made my whole post about posting every day and my sister fries my computer. I've been on at a friend's and tried to post to tell you that and the post didn't work. Anyways, Rogers shut my computer down and refused to give us back the internet until the computer was cleared of certain viruses. I hate mass computer wipes...
