We too run all five, and this not because of the fixers' balance but simply because having a dual land that is also a manland is fantastic and a great addition to any cube.
For those who have been using all 5 WWK manlands, how have the non-blue ones been working out? I've been happy with the blue ones and I'm guessing the non-blue ones aren't on par with the blue ones, but are they still good enough? How often are they animated?
This is probably inspired by Pat Chapin gushing about them and saying that even the GW one is "on the same level as treetop village."
They're all great and easily cubable, but I think the green/red one is most underrated. It's really great, up to par with the black/blue and white/blue ones. First time it attacks it's a 4/4, and it gets bigger with every attack. Fits great in green/red decks.
I'm not getting greedy, no red for me. Normally I'd take Birds over Specter, but in this case... We have a nice disruption package, going Thoughtseize/Duress, Hymn, Specter will be game most of the time. Also, so far it looks like we want to have black early, and the Birds will demand a mana base that has green early.
How many counters are you guy running? I don't understand how a card like Ob Nixilis is good but Abyssal Persecutor isn't.
About 25% of my blue stuff are counters.
I don't really see the connection with Ob Nixilis. He's a beast, play him so you can still drop a land that turn and even if he gets destroyed by an instant you'll have got 3 damage out of him (priority thing). If he sticks around and you have some more lands, you win (and let's not talk about fetches and cards like Harrow).
I quit sorting my artifacts and lands as such, rather I have colorless cards and mana fixing so my signets are in the same place as Savannah because they do the same thing, but Mutavault is with the other colorless stuff.
Hear hear! The movement gains momentum.
I think this definitely is a useful exercise as a help to find cards to cut. I did a similar thing by adding a column to the master file of my cube with keywords. That way it's easy to sort the data according to these keywords. This way, it's also possible to give a card multiple keywords if they cross over between different categories.
Like DerBK, I also found that it makes more sense to define categories within each section instead of global categories. Just write down what each section's job is (for instance, blue = counters, draw, steal + misc) and go from there. If you find enough cards for another useful category, go ahead and add it.
It's interesting to see what categories other people define for their cube.
When we played last week, someone managed to get out a turn2 Dark Ritual + Abyssal Persecutor against me.
The funny thing is, that I ended up winning that game at negative life totals without a library (Nemesis of Reasons + Lightning Greaves) because I had counters for all his 3 removal spells that he aimed at his 6/6 while I dealt him the remaining 8 points of damage with Words of War.
LOL
Classic. Thus I see my theory proven. Persecutor will not make it into my cube (good thing for my wallet too ).
Difficult pick, but my preference would be Imperious Perfect. It's more useful overall and we need more creatures more than we need more hand disruption. More more more.

My pick is Hypnotic Specter.

Not too many similarities. Figure is a lot better, but that's hardly saying anything.
Such as?... I'm running dry after Goblin Guide, Jackal Pup, Grim Lavamancer and Magus of the Scroll.
The votes for Savannah have me stumped alright.
This deck looks like it's going to be stellar.
