Anyone else smell a twist? Like Avacyn actually being a bad guy whose been playing with everyone from the beginning just for kicks. BTW AWESOME ANGEL FTW!
We know of the strange connection between Avacyn and the demon Griselbrand, so there's something sneaky going on.
Was getting worried about Sinker; this is the longest they've taken to announce the spring set in a while. Interesting, to say the least. Doubt they were having trouble convincing Brand that they could sell Horror for three sets like they did with Zendikar.
Hope they learned from the interblock synergy issues ROE had with Zendikar.
That's the moon. Everything we know about Sorin's past and present indicates that he's going to be mono-black. Wish people would stop with these shenanigans.
Llanowar Reborn
Land
Llanowar Reborn enters the battlefield tapped.
T: Add G to your mana pool.
Graft 1
The card's name references Llanowar, a geographic area from the plane of Dominaria. Tapping for green mana is also a mechanic from Dominaria. Yet the card has a graft keyword ability.
I believe it can be inferred from the above that the plane of Dominaria, which previously only had a certain set of keyword abilities present in its setting, now has more types of combinations of that sort (including, but not necessarily limited to, graft). If that is the case, then we should probably expect to see those sorts of cards in any revisit to Dominaria in the future.
Some things this doesn't tell us:
* Whether or not a return to Dominaria is happening sooner, later or at all
* Whether Llanowar Reborn will be reprinted in that revisiting or not
However, we can hypothesize that if we do return to Dominaria, then there are certain things we can predict about what will be in that block and some of the things that will be going on in the storyline as it relates to the block content (e.g., we could rule out that a revisit to Dominaria might be all vanilla, etc).
Any claims about chronology are not necessary. We can say that time-wise, the card has to be at least have existed from Conflux forward. That would not change what is implied by Maelstrom Wanderer being printed. They didn't print cards with those color combinations in Alara block. They set a card with those color combinations in Alara, for Planechase 2. What this suggests is that it is more likely that in any return to Alara, we will see cards with those color combinations because we know via Maelstrom Wanderer that those combinations definitely exist there. That is new information that we didn't know before.
I'd say that it is equally likely that we would see these colors in a return to Alara if Maelstrom Wanderer didn't exist. That Wizards would be beholden to a flavor decision made in a non-canonical set is a somewhat ludicrous idea. Clearly, if we were to return to Dominiaria, Llanowar would become a place where you grow trees on your back to make yourself look bigger.
Why are you getting snarky? This is more of a disadvantage than an advantage. Now your neighbors are going to snipe cards from you when they've got nothing better to take. I'd also rather my opponents not save their removal for my bombs.
Good drafters would make educated defensive picks anyways.
Fake Edit: Take a look at this article:

Hmm.

Partially right, due to that particular block gimmick. They first "announced" it December 9:

Oh yeah, don't forget people predicting Liliana of the Veil was going to be BR based on the "flames" in her hands.
Do you normally play with silver-bordered cards?

If I'm assuming correctly, Phenomenon are basically one-shot planes, right? Would you reveal a plane directly afterwards?
