This is a one drop worthy of Red Midrange decks. I have only played about six matches using it in janky BR on Arena tonight but it feels fantastic on the draw or on the play. I am playing a sacrifice synergy in my deck btw.
I think Wheel of Fate is really gonna be the card that breaks Electrodominance. [[Runeflare Trap]] and [[Molten Psyche]] are what I want to build around in Modern since I used to have a deck playing Wheel, Runeflare, Molten, [[Howling Mine]], and [[Tempest Bell] in MODO "Classic" to begin with but the lynchpin was [[Rite of Flame]] so I'm not sure exactly how to execute it in Modern.
The damage is dealt in time to enable Spectacle on the free card right?
This seems absolutely busted combined with Wheel of Fate but please tell me I can’t Overload Mizzium Mortars for 2RR at Instant speed cuz that would be Omega OP.
Also regarding this only being good vs control to pressure their mana... this is NOT just a Quicken for RR... it’s an X Burn spell dang it! You Flash a threat AND do X damage.
It seems like Bolas got a monkey face, or the face of one of those bad guys from 80/90's cartoons. As time passe, he becomes more and more human. I have to say i don't like this direction because he looks much more dangerous with a real dragon face.
Meh, I thought the planeswalkers weren't good for the game before. Now we get more on the field? I'm not looking forward to the broken shenanigans about to go down with this.
Should we go back to interrupts and Ancestral Recall too? Planeswalkers are TEN years old. If they have ruined the game for you what the hell are you still doing here?
I'm trying out Spitebellows (1 main, 1 side instead of Roast). Only had 3 matches with it so far, but two of them were Primeval Titan decks and Spitebellows won me a game in both matches, where Roast would have been blank. I also hardcasted it once, which didn't end up making much difference, but still the possibility of pulling double duty makes the card more interesting. Two mana for Roast is already more than I like to pay, so three mana for Spitebellows is quite steep. The upsides, however, are quite big so I look forward to testing it more and will share my thoughts when I've played more games with it.
If more people are testing it, I hope they will share their experiences with the card as well.
Tip: If you're playing on MTGO some Freebots are actually giving them away for free.
All of this Spitebellows talk has my reminiscing about Chandra, Pyromaster's ability to keep a creature from blocking for the turn with her +1.
(Nods in old man approval)

I really like it but I'm an outlier.
Confiscate Give me the D
It depends on loose your definition is. Bloodfire Mentor, Oracle of Dust, Spellbound Dragon, Sphinx of Lost Truths, and Murder of Crows are all some big bodies.
